Chapter 218
When Luke saw the wolves at Namor’s feet, he smiled wryly, because their ears were exactly like his upper ears.
With the goal of defeating the vice director in mind, Luke took a breath and sighed, renewing the oxygen in his lungs.
“.” He whispered low enough for only himself to hear.
Then, a thin layer of mist enveloped that small room, making the world around the half-wolf a few thousand times slower than it should be. This was a mentally and physically exhausting skill, but Luke didn’t want to waste much real-world time in a long fight, nor did he want to cause damage to the school, so he decided to look for the fastest way to win with the Legendary Skill.
The half-wolf spent an hour inside the Dimension of Horus and tested many things against Namor.
Namor was a physically creepy man, according to metrics and superficial analysis. Without a shadow of a doubt, the man who had warned him a few minutes before was correct. The half-wolf also didn’t know what he might have kept under his sleeves. For this reason, he deactivated the Legendary Skill after his initial study, so that he could perhaps activate it again if he needed to.
Before Namor ordered his wolves to attack Luke, the half-wolf managed to regain his breath.
Once Luke opened his eyes, he ran towards the wolves that were running towards him too. The wolf on the left jumped toward him, while the other waited for Luke to dodge to attack him more effectively. However, Luke didn’t dodge the first wolf. Seeing the smoke summoner leaping toward him with its mouth open, he grabbed both parts of the wolf’s jaw with his hands.
As expected, the second wolf tried to help its partner and jumped against Luke’s back, but he was already aware that this could happen. He turned around with the first wolf still in hand and delivered a powerful kick to the second wolf’s thorax.
Tum~
The second wolf crashed into one of the walls, creating a huge crack.
Next, Luke used all the strength in his hands and managed to break the first summoning in two. The creature crumbled into golden particles without agonizing.
“Clap! Clap! You have a monstrous instinct!” Namor analyzed. The last wolf approached him while he was clapping his hands, limping a little.
“I’ve fought summonings before. Yours are weaker than expected.”
Namor smiled a little, but also seemed offended, and pointed forward again for his wolf attacks. However, this time he followed the invocation as well.
The vice principal’s legs were moving at such a high speed that ordinary people would see them as stationary, but Namor was still moving forward, which would make them freak out. Even to Luke’s experienced eyes, they were moving so fast that it was frightening to watch.
Noticing this, Luke didn’t move forward, but began to use the Sea Ornament. He bent his knees until he was almost sitting up, and with his arms, he made an X. When Namor and the wolf crossed the one-meter boundary space and were about to hit Luke, his arms moved faster than Namor could ever hope to. In a single second, Namor was thrown away with no chance to react, and Luke grabbed the remaining wolf by the neck.
While getting up from the ground, Namor saw his second summoning being torn apart by the half-wolf in the same way as the first one.
`Hum. He’s on an even higher level than he was in the tournament finals.’ The vice director thought, as he fixed the glasses on his face and the hat on his head.
When Luke saw that the man could continue still, he adopted the same position as before and crossed his arms again.
“Hey, hey! Calm down! I surrender, I surrender!” Namor said and put his hands up.
Luke relaxed a little more. “What do you mean? You haven’t been defeated yet.”
“By defeated do you mean seriously hurt? I’m sorry, but I’ll have to disappoint you, because I hate feeling pain… I feel that you are at a higher level of preparation than me, not that you are stronger, but certainly more capable.” He stated and walked over to his cigar dropped on the floor. “If 20 years old is old enough that people are killing each other inside the Dungeon, I trust that you will do a good job as a Duel Teacher. But be warned, it won’t be easy to gain the trust of your fellow teachers, they are all old like me, and most are egocentric.”
“Well, how can I put it? I’m ready for the challenges.” Luke spoke and smiled, excited.
Namor arched his eyebrows, surprised, but was secretly happy to hear that. It had been a few years since the Oukiwa Academy of Nobles had been dull, and perhaps the presence of a Tournament of Legends Champion would change that.
“If that’s the case, fine…I won’t let you have time to rest.” Namor said and next uttered: “.”
Then, Luke saw Namor twist reality like a rag, and from nowhere visible, he pulled out a pile of books, which he passed to Luke.
“Well, this is all the teaching material that you will have to pass on to your students this Semester. Since we were without a teacher for this subject, you’ll have to make them study twice as hard to make up for the days they stayed off.”
“Oh… that’s fine. I’ll read them as quickly as I can.”
“Yes, and… you start tomorrow.”
“What!? Tomorrow? There are more than a dozen books here!” Luke thought that he could never handle reading ten books in just one day, not least because all these books were quite thick and passed hundreds of pages.
Namor patted the half-wolf on the shoulder twice and said, “I know, I know. Good luck, Professor Luke.”
Upon hearing those last words from the vice director, the half-wolf became flushed, and his arms went soft. Never had he expected to have a title like that in his entire life, so he was undoubtedly overjoyed.

— The next day. —
For his first day as Duel Teacher, Luke requested that Meredith cut his hair. Before, his strands were so long that they almost covered his eyes.
In addition, Luke was now wearing the Academy teacher’s uniform, which was as simple as possible, being only a black overcoat with other black clothing. This was a rule of the institution, because the teachers weren’t supposed to look attractive and should look respectable, but the color that matched the half-wolf was certainly black, due to his wolf ears and tail.
The half-wolf was also wearing an armband whose letters said ‘Teacher’ in ancient runes, according to Alexis. This made him happy every time he looked at the armband.
When Luke stopped in front of the closed door of his first class, he sighed deeply before finally opening it.
