Anton had to store the movies he had sold to the merfolk in several tiny globes of browser sharing to ensure they would have enough time to copy all the films into their magic item recorders before the globes disappeared after the seven-day limit.

He was somewhat surprised, however, to learn that the merfolk intended to use a different type of magical item to transfer the movie files from his tiny globes of browser sharing. They planned to use special luminous pearls, which, according to Xegos, could retain recordings of better quality than the magic item recorders available on land.

Not only that, but the recording pearls were also far more durable than ordinary magic item recorders. Xegos proudly claimed that they could preserve recordings a hundred times longer than those stored in regular magic item recorders.

Anton became very interested in the recording pearls and asked whether he could purchase a large quantity of them.

Xegos smiled upon hearing Anton's question. That had been the reason he was boasting about the pearls in the first place. The merfolk wanted to purchase more movies, but their funds were limited. After settling the payment for the purple corals, they wanted to use their recording pearls to purchase additional films from Anton.

The greatest advantage of the merfolk's recording pearls was their storage capacity. According to Xegos, a single pearl could store around three hundred movies, each with a runtime of two hours. In comparison, the magic item recorders available on land could hold only about three or four movies.

Since Anton wanted to purchase as many recording pearls as possible, he had to spend another day showing the merfolk additional movie trailers so they could choose the films they wanted.

Thankfully, they were willing to watch only the trailer for the first movie in each franchise, even after Anton explained that some of the later films might not be as good.

Anton understood the merfolk's disregard for the quality of subsequent films in a franchise. Since they were all newcomers to the world of movies, practically every film seemed like the best thing they had ever seen.

All in all, Anton was satisfied with what he had gained from the merfolk. Not only had he acquired three hundred kilograms of purple corals, which was two hundred kilograms more than the amount required by his mission, but he had also obtained a thousand luminous recording pearls.

On top of that, his mana stone savings had increased instead of being depleted.

Anton decided to spend a few more hours in the merfolk's city, with Xynor acting as his guide. However, he soon noticed that Xynor's attention was no longer focused on making sure Anton was enjoying himself. More than likely, most of the merfolk's attention was now directed toward the newly acquired films.

Eventually, Anton decided to leave the ocean. He said goodbye to Xynor, Xegos, and Zorexin before departing through his Gate spell.

Instead of returning directly to Remuth, he went back to Rose Manor. He wanted to give the luminous recording pearls to Romina, since they were far better suited for storing movies.

Unfortunately, only the servants were present at the manor, so Anton immediately left for the cinema. He wanted to find Romina and hand the pearls over to her. Fortunately, Romina's fashion magazine office was located beside the cinema, so he expected to find her without much difficulty.

Although it was still early in the day, the cinema was already bustling with activity. A considerable number of people were lining up to purchase tickets for the films currently being shown.

With the help of one of the cinema's employees, Anton was led to Romina's office.

"What do you need?" Romina asked once they were seated in her office.

"I acquired these pearls from the merfolk. The recordings stored in them are of better quality than those in ordinary magic item recorders. Not only that, but each pearl can store between two hundred and fifty and three hundred films," Anton said as he handed her one of the luminous recording pearls.

Thankfully, operating the pearl was no different from using a regular magic item recorder.

"How many of these pearls did you manage to acquire?" Romina asked.

When Anton told her that he had obtained a thousand, Romina smiled.

He handed her the box containing the pearls and told her that he would be leaving.

She asked Anton whether he could stay at the manor for dinner, but he declined. He explained that he needed to return to Izmorta as soon as possible.

Anton wanted to submit his mission report because the next Diablo II ladder season would begin in two days. He wanted to be safely settled in his room before the season started so he could concentrate on leveling up his Diablo II ladder characters while continuing to study the next level of his spatial spells.

Thankfully, completing the purple coral mission meant that he would not have to undertake another mandatory monthly mission for the next three months.

He immediately left for Remuth and, without further delay, submitted his mission.

Afterward, he went to his current tutor's office to report the mission's completion and inform her that he intended to sequester himself in his room for the next three months to focus on advancing his mastery of spatial spells.

Anton’s Apprentice Traveler tutor told him that she understood. She would conduct only one review lesson per month to check his progress.

His tutor explained that she was allowing him to do this because he had successfully completed a difficult mission despite being a newly appointed Initiate Traveler.

Even so, she pointed out that his performance was hardly surprising, given his level of wizardry. According to Anton's profile, his combat prowess was formidable.

His tutor also informed him that his profile contained a note stating that, because of his wizardly power, he could easily complete missions intended for Adept Travelers and below.

Anton thought that once he reached the Invincible Rank in wizardry, which he expected to achieve after a couple more Diablo II ladder seasons, he would probably be capable of completing missions assigned to Master Travelers.

After finishing his conversation with his tutor, Anton returned to his room to prepare for the next Diablo II ladder season.

His goal was to level up more than thirteen characters to the maximum level.

It would be difficult. Even after giving it his best effort during the previous two seasons, he had managed to level up exactly thirteen characters to the maximum level each time.

On his way to his room, Anton encountered a few of his batchmates, who had finally found some breathing room in their studies.

They persuaded him to provide the remaining episodes of the television series they had been watching, Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Anton gave them all the remaining episodes and informed his batchmates that he planned to sequester himself in his room for the next three months. He told them not to disturb him unless it was absolutely necessary.

Since his batchmates had received what they wanted, they promised to leave him alone.

They immediately rushed off to inform everyone that the remaining episodes of the series were now available.

Once he returned to his room, Anton ate, cleaned himself, and then slept for a few hours to ensure he was well-rested before the new ladder season began.
