Chapter 414

Julie’s point of view

Without another word, Robert pulled me up violently from the mattress. His dark eyes briefly flicked down to the scattered stack of crisp banknotes lying over the sheets.

"You won’t be needing money here," he said, his voice flat. "So you’re not taking it."

I looked down at the bills with pure disgust, my lip curling. "I wouldn’t touch that dirty cash anyway."

His fingers clamped roughly around my upper arm, digging into my flesh. "Then move."

He shoved me brutally toward the threshold, sending me stumbling forward so hard I nearly slammed face-first into the doorframe. I spun around, my face flushed with pure rage:

"Untie my fucking hands, you bastard!"

He twisted his mouth into a cruel, mocking sneer. "I must say, I love your little act as a obedient little pet... I suppose Mr. X really knows how to break you in."

"You filthy piece of shit!" I screamed at him, my voice raw with venom.

He shoved my shoulder again, his voice cold and unyielding. "Walk. And shut your mouth."

I dragged my feet out into the hallway, pulling the silk sheet tightly around myself. As we rounded the corner, I froze—Mr. X was leaning casually against the hallway wall, his dark, faceless mask obscuring his features entirely.

As we passed him, his hidden eyes locked onto me in a long, unreadable stare.

Robert gave him a brief nod, uttering as he walked past: "I’ll be with you in a moment."

I struggled down the heavy stairwell, my breath coming in ragged hitches as he led me down to the lower level. He shoved me inside my old room, the heavy wooden door slamming shut behind us with a definitive thud.

With one violent yank, he ripped the silk sheet away from my body, leaving me completely naked once more.

"Turn around," he commanded, his voice sharp. "So I can untie you."

I spun around, letting him undo the tight knot of the fabric binding my wrists. The second the cloth fell away and my hands were free, I turned back with a wild surge of adrenaline bringing my open palm swinging through the air and landing a thunderous slap right across his cheek!

*SLAP!*

The sharp crack echoed through the room. Tears broke from my eyes as a shattered scream tore from my throat:

"I am not a whore! And I will never fucking be a whore!"

His head barely turned an inch from the force of the blow, his jaw carved of pure steel. He slowly brought his dark eyes back to mine, taking a long, menacing step into my space.

Instinctively, I scrambled backward, but he kept advancing, his burning gaze pinned on me until my bare back slammed flat against the cold wooden wall.

He leaned his face down, his breath fanning hot against my skin, his voice dripping with venomous mockery:

"Really, Julie...?" He whispered, leaning in closer. "...I think you’re already a whore. You’re just denying it to save what little is left of your precious pride."

I squeezed my eyes shut, my chest heaving against the wall. "That animal took me by force, for God’s sake!" I gasped out. "I didn’t want any of it!"

He planted his hand flat on the wooden wall right beside my head, trapping me completely. "He gave you the money, and he told me he had a fantastic time with you..." He leaned into my ear, his voice dropping to a icy whisper. "...He said you were practically begging for his dick."

The words froze straight in my throat. A poisonous blade sliced right through the middle of my chest. *Could that fucking monster really have lied to him just to humiliate me even further?!*

"That’s not true at all!" My voice trembled, raw and breaking.

"Stop fucking pretending, Julie," he replied, his tone devoid of any warmth.

I grabbed the lapels of his suit shirt with both shaking hands, bunching the fabric tightly in my fists as burning tears streamed down my face:

"I am not pretending, for God’s sake!" I screamed, pulling him closer to my face. "Why are you doing this to me?! Why, for fucking’s sake?!"

His hand shot up, clamping around my wrist like a iron vice. "Let go of me right now."

I tightened my grip on his shirt, my voice shattering into absolute ruin:

"I went away to live my life far away from you and your fucking hell!" I sobbed, my tears soaking into the front of his jacket. "Why are you doing this?! Why did you bring me back here?!"

He looked straight into my tear-filled eyes, his face completely cold, devoid of a single drop of mercy:

"To make your life a real fucking hell."

A bitter, broken laugh burst from my lips. "It’s already a hell! Can’t you see that with your own fucking eyes?!"

With a steel grip, he pried my fingers off his collar one by one and shoved my hands away. He turned on his heel toward the door, his voice flat:

"My hell will be much, much worse than this, Julie."

The second he took a step to leave, a wave of blind rage consumed me. I lunged recklessly at his back, trying to strike him or throw him off balance completely forgetting that he was like a immovable mountain.

He turned back lightning-fast.

In one swift, effortless motion, he caught my small body and slammed me backward onto the mattress!

He hovered over me in an instant, pinning both of my wrists flat against the sheets with his heavy frame, a cruel smirk pulling at his lips:

"Do you really think this tiny little body of yours can fight me, Julie?"

I stared up into his dark eyes with sick, broken surrender, my voice trembling violently as I began to scream:

"Kill me!" I choked out, tears pooling in my ears. "Kill me right now and let me fucking rest!"

He tilted his head slightly, his grip on my wrists unbroken. "I won’t. Not at all... because that wouldn’t be any fun."

"Selling me off to your filthy clients?!" I spat up at him, my voice raw with agony. "That’s what’s fucking fun to you?!"

"Yes," he answered with chilling composure. "It is."

"And are you going to join in on the fun too, for God’s sake?" I whispered, my voice laced with a bitter, bleeding challenge.

He locked his gaze onto mine, his answer sharp and absolute:

"Never... I will never touch you again."

"But you used to touch me in the past!" I cried out, the words burning through my throat like hot coal.

His expression didn’t shift by a fraction. He slowly lifted his heavy weight off of me, stepping back toward the door:

"That was in the past, Julie..." He said quietly, his voice hollow as the door swung open behind him. "...Not anymore."
