My Enemy Became My Cultivation Companion
Chapter 1463 - 793: Strike at the Awakening of the Inner Feminine (Triple Update 3-in-1)_2
In the blink of an eye, it seems we have arrived at the Dharma Decline.
No raging winds, no deafening noises, no demonic descend, only an irrevocable end to all things, with vitality withdrawing, colors fading, forms collapsing, the law... corroding.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's voice arose at this moment, coming from both distant realms and nearby,
"Regard all things as dreamlike illusions, like dewdrops or lightning..."
Then he raised his lowered gaze, smiling at Chen Yi:
"Venerable, while at Spirit Mountain, I've heard some stories about you..."
Chen Yi slightly raised his eyebrows, not responding, waiting for him to continue.
"I've heard, venerable, that you are especially attached to appearances, enamored by the beauty of worldly leather bags, so trapped that it's difficult to part."
These words were spoken bluntly, almost like exposing faults.
Chen Yi heard them and initially froze in surprise, then scoffed, the tension caused by the world's transformation eased slightly.
"So what if I am? The love of beauty is human nature. Does the Bodhisattva also intend to imitate those clichéd monks to persuade me to abstain from desire and cultivate, to find emptiness in all things?"
His response carried a clear air of disregard, even sounded provocative. Attachment to appearances? He admitted it. But in his view, it was just like eating and drinking; it's intrinsic, it's delight, it's one of life's flavors.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva was not surprised by Chen Yi's resistance, nor did he show any anger.
"I'm not here to persuade you to abstain," his voice steady yet having a strange penetration, "I merely wish for you to... look, and awaken."
Before the words fully settled, seated on the elephant, he made a natural downward sweep with the right hand placed in front of his navel.
As if responding to this subtle gesture, the barren land beneath Chen Yi's feet, turned sandy and lifeless, suddenly exhibited anomalies.
Right in front of Chen Yi, on the gray, desolate sand, without any warning, eighteen beautiful women emerged.
They appeared out of thin air, standing amidst the desert, each possessing a heart-captivating beauty, distinct in their charms: some cold and aloof like immortals beneath the moon, holding untouchable pride in their brows; some enchanting as blossoming peonies, their gazes full of allure; some sweet and innocent, like mountain sprites unversed in worldly affairs; some dignified and elegant, possessing the demeanor of noble maidens... Their attire varied from flowing, to splendid, to simple, yet each enhanced their graceful figures and stunning facades...
Importantly, their beauty was not empty; each exuded distinct presence, be it cool, gentle, lively, or serene, their eyes vivid and lively. In appearance and temperament alone, none were inferior to Yin Weiyin, all possessing Heavenly Person's grace!
Chen Yi's breath instinctively halted for a moment.
A momentary stir was felt in the lower body.
However, just as the desire arose, in the same instant his mind was captured by this unparalleled beauty,
The transformation unfolded.
Those eighteen women, vibrant and breathtaking mere moments ago, saw the color and life from their faces recede instantaneously like a retreating tide. Their once rosy lips turned purplish-blue, their glowing skin quickly dulled, becoming sallow and withered, their bright eyes suddenly dimmed and hollowed, then... decomposed.
Their once glossy black hair yellowed, underneath the delicate skin arose countless minute crackling sounds, the flesh rapidly desiccating and shriveling, their splendid dresses losing support from a body, becoming loose and faded.
In merely one breath, the eighteen women, before Chen Yi's eyes, as if experiencing the wash of countless years in an instant, turned into skeletal remains!
The resplendent attire turned to dust, covering the bones, adding to the desolation.
Chen Yi's expression shifted from momentary amazement and instinctive attraction to an unexpected shock.
Damn it, this is something out of a ghost figure!
Following the shock, a thought suddenly arose in Chen Yi,
Even bones have their beauty; didn't Great Yin believe so?
Samantabhadra noticing the flicker of that thought, raised a wrinkle in surprise, and with a Buddha song, remarked:
"Is that truly so, venerable, you are indeed a unique individual!"
Chen Yi returned to his senses and asked inexplicably: "What?"
"I recognized your taste for beauty is unfazed by bones.
Your steadfastness in the lower body was spoken across the Spirit Mountain World years ago."
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva paused briefly, then remarked with emotion:
"To see you today truly confirms the reputation."
Chen Yi's lips twitched slightly.
His fame was indeed wide-spread.
After tidying up his emotions, though the previous scene was frightening, it was only frightening; some people even found interest in Sadako, and Chen Yi felt under certain circumstances, bones aren't a bother – perhaps due to Yin Weiyin's past influence, he had slightly expanded his tastes.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva uttered "Amitabha," and though he had been accustomed to the myriad states of beings, their joys and delusions, at this moment, his Buddha's heart could not help but ripple slightly.
"Venerable is truly unlike ordinary people." He reverted to his serene and compassionate demeanor, "Whether the fairness or the bones, to the venerable, both seem to stir desires from the lower body; such depth of attachment, when I heard tales at Spirit Mountain, I thought it might be exaggerated, but seeing it today, I know the rumors were certainly true."
Chen Yi pulled at the corner of his mouth, not engaging with this topic.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva looked up again, paused before asking: "Why is venerable... so attached to the pleasures of desire? Appearances are ultimately illusions, beauty inevitably becomes bones, even the visage of a Heavenly Person, the magnificence of the worldly grace, cannot escape the cycle of formation, dwelling, decay, and emptiness, ultimately it'll fall into ruin.
Such attachment is akin to children fixating on the vibrant, fragile bubbles beneath sunlight."
Upon hearing this, Chen Yi exuded a bit of carefree recklessness,
