My Enemy Became My Cultivation Companion

Chapter 1443 - 781: Why Are You Always Pinching There? (Double-Length)

"The sword and accessories are eight thousand years old, long entered the Great Ming Palace."

Yin Weiyin stopped and lightly wiped the sword's spine, slowly murmuring:

"I have become an Immortal."

Since the Dual Cultivation took its proper course, progress has become ever more apparent; the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi traverses the Dantian unhindered, in such clarity, as if the body and the universe have merged into one.

If once there were reservations about Dual Cultivation, now knowing its wonders, it seems the past viewpoint was so narrow, the path so vast. Shyness certainly remains, a common human feeling, yet with the favoured Golden Boy present, daily Dual Cultivation is neither unavoidable nor unnecessary.

Nonetheless, the studies must not be neglected; sitting in meditation, holding precepts, and reciting scriptures are also necessary, one must not lose sight.

"Miss Yin."

Suddenly, hearing a shout, Yin Weiyin turned her head to find Donggong Ruoshu stretching lazily in the sun, not knowing when she had arrived.

Yin Weiyin slightly restrained her contented expression; in front of this fool who repeatedly sabotaged her, she found it truly difficult to show a good face.

Regarding other women, she might think of a day when Chen Yi would bring them into the harem, where she'd exert pressure at will, but not this fool, not even worth thinking about.

The simply minded Donggong Ruoshu could naturally not know what Yin Weiyin was pondering; having recently returned to the corporeal form, she had just seen a female crown dancing with a sword gracefully,

and her hands itched, craving a fight.

"Miss Yin, do you dance with a sword? I didn't know you knew swordsmanship."

Yin Weiyin slightly furrowed her brow; swordsmanship is common knowledge among Taoists, without swordsmanship, how would one subdue demons or request Immortals, she suddenly felt Donggong Ruoshu's question was rather stupid, and did not wish to answer.

Donggong Ruoshu became interested, she jumped up and snapped a branch, then took a deep breath and began to dance with a sword.

"Miss Yin, watch mine."

So Donggong Ruoshu took a branch as a sword, and began to dance in the courtyard.

Compared to Yin Weiyin's graceful form, rather than swordsmanship, it was simply aimless hacking and slashing, without a shred of beauty, the movements even seemed a bit clumsy.

Yin Weiyin watched, laughed slightly, and said, "Tsk, Barbarian Swordsmanship."

Hearing herself called a barbarian, Miss Donggong paused, somewhat angry, and said, "Hmph, did I force you to watch?"

"...That was indeed a spectacle."

Yin Weiyin secretly added in her mind, not as good as her own.

Donggong Ruoshu felt the female crown's words were slightly off-key but thought she had shifted to praise her, so she wasn't angry anymore, and put her hands on her hips, saying, "Thank you for the compliment."

"I don't deserve it."

Yin Weiyin truly didn't want to talk much with this fool; if words exchanged with a match were somewhat stimulating, but speaking too much with this obstinate Donggong Ruoshu was not only uninteresting but risked being infected by her "simple-mindedness."

If she herself became equally simple-minded, how would she in the future suppress the likes of Zhou Yitang with such complex schemes, or Yin Tingxue with such clever calculation hidden under docility? Even Min Ning, so straightforward, would likely look down on her.

Reflecting thus, it seemed even Chen Yi should minimize contact with Miss Donggong to avoid being tainted by her simplistic ways.

So she promptly restrained the pleasure born from sword dancing, tucked the Peach Wood Sword into her sleeve, and said calmly: "Sword practice is done; I'm going back to meditate."

With that, she turned and was about to head back to her chamber.

But just as she moved her steps, a blur appeared before her eyes, Donggong Ruoshu unexpectedly darted in front, blocking her path with surprising speed.

She was slightly taller than Yin Weiyin, and at this moment, approaching closely, those big eyes leaned directly toward her.

Yin Weiyin paused her steps, knitted her brows: "What are you doing?"

Donggong Ruoshu blinked, and reminded:

"Miss Yin, you promised me. You said... you'd teach me how to become a ghost, remember?"

Yin Weiyin was speechless for a moment, having agreed hastily that day merely to brush her off, she hadn't taken it to heart, yet this fool... had truly believed?

She took a deep breath, saying: "Becoming a ghost is neither easy nor pleasant. Freeing the soul from the body, suffering from the chill winds, forgetting past affairs, losing genuine nature, wandering aimlessly, perhaps driven by evil thoughts, harming others and oneself... The suffering involved, have you not experienced it before?"

She had thought this description sufficient to deter anyone.

Who knew Donggong Ruoshu tilted her head, pondering, and replied: "Experienced, it was a bit cold, a bit floaty, the mind somewhat foggy, able to consume Qi... However," she paused, her eyes faintly brightening, "if I can learn how to control becoming a ghost, wouldn't it mean I could float when I wish, manifest shape when I desire, even pass through walls, to frighten people?"

Yin Weiyin discerned Donggong Ruoshu's desire to become a ghost, this stupid girl had no stratagem, unaware of the ability to hide emotions without betraying one's inner thoughts; she briefly considered that perhaps it could be useful to leverage for future needs, laying a groundwork wouldn't hurt.

This was not a case of a hidden thread spanning thousands of miles; allegedly groundwork, could be used or unused.

Just as some Immortal Masters on the mountain plotted for a chance for several ages, amongst them groundwork and idle strokes abound, through their entire lives until entering eternal slumber, never reaching the time for use.

Yin Weiyin nonchalantly said: "Directly becoming a ghost is likely too difficult, but I can teach you Transformation spells, learning them you can transform your form, after a bit of achievement, changing to an illusion, becoming a ghost won't be hard."

Donggong Ruoshu's eyes brightened, this was exactly what she desired, to transform into a ghost or a person as she willed.

However, towards the end, Yin Weiyin switched her tone.

"Though, now isn't the time to teach you, we'll discuss it later."

Regardless, initially keeping this foolish girl waiting, the longer the wait, the greater the debt of gratitude this foolish girl owes, until the debt grows so large the foolish girl can't repay it all, she'd have to follow her guidance.

Donggong Ruoshu sighed, still wanting to say something more, but Yin Weiyin's skirt just lightly fluttered, her figure gracefully returned to the side room, with a light sound, the door gently closed.

Leaving Donggong Ruoshu alone in the courtyard, still holding that branch, gazing at the closed door, blinking, she quietly muttered: "Discuss later... so does that mean you'll teach or not teach at all..."
