My Enemy Became My Cultivation Companion
Chapter 1425 - 773: Blossoms and the Moon in the Spring Breeze (Double Update, 2-in-1)_2
Everything seemed like a few years ago, she struggled desperately but couldn't resist.
An unusual feeling surged from the spine, as if the next moment she would be penetrated.
Chen Yi pressed his face to her ear, gently sniffing the scent of wine between her hair. This feeling of taming a wild horse was truly long overdue.
And his fingertips also slowly slid to a place where a gentleman's fingers should not go.
The tall woman shivered slightly, seemingly startled.
"Does the Prince know, today I want to drink something different?"
He said leisurely with extreme wickedness, as if tightly locking the Life Gate, feeling the fear in the trembling crimson horse.
However, he heard the Prince scoff,
"Whore, I was just about to reward you."
......…
A cluster of fireworks rose into the deep night sky.
With a loud burst, the brilliant chrysanthemum pattern momentarily illuminated the sky, the strands of golden light trickling down.
Chen Yi lay on Qin Qingluo's body, looking up at the fireworks outside the window, momentarily dazzled and entranced.
The tall woman's earlier rough breathing had turned into fine gasps, seemingly having regained some strength.
The quiet bedroom was continuously adorned with various splendid colors by the fireworks, shining so brightly that you could see the floating dust in detail.
"There is no curfew tonight," he muttered to himself.
"There wouldn't be a curfew during the Lantern Festival."
Chen Yi grunted in acknowledgment, buried his head, and deeply inhaled the places that made the child laugh joyfully.
Qin Qingluo, although annoyed, usually would have thrown this shameless person off, raised her arm, but after a moment, put it down again.
Somewhat apprehensive…
She let him bury his head there, and between lord and wife, they experienced this brief silence.
Another cluster of fireworks illuminated the bedroom.
Chen Yi suddenly raised his head and said, "Shall we go out for a stroll?"
Qin Qingluo frowned at his words and said, "The night is already deep."
Chen Yi also turned around, meeting her gaze with a smile and fearlessness, "I don't care, every day it gets late, but the Lantern Festival is only once a year. Accompany me out."
Qin Qingluo's pupils darkened, her tone turned a bit colder: "Nonsense."
Chen Yi twisted her heart.
"Presumptuous!" she reprimanded softly, her wrist exerted force, intending to break free.
"Prince," he laughed softly by her ear, spraying warm breath, "as for presumptuousness, haven't we had enough of that between us?"
"Chen Yi, what exactly is it you want to do?" Her voice was extremely low, carrying a warning, and also a slight, imperceptible waver.
"I don't want to do anything." Chen Yi lowered his head, using the faint light from afar to look at her face close at hand. Her always dignified brows and eyes were now extraordinarily vivid due to anger and other emotions, "I just want to invite my prince to temporarily forget those rules and etiquette and accompany me to see these earthly fireworks; in the future, perhaps there won't be another chance for years."
He paused, the joking tone faded, replaced by a little seriousness, yet still overbearing, "Just the two of us, like an ordinary husband and wife."
Qin Qingluo resisted his hand, the strength unknowingly slackened. She gazed at him, and in the darkness, his eyes were astonishingly bright, reflecting the distant scattered lights, and also her somewhat dazed face.
Qin Qingluo was helpless, took a deep breath, lowered her eyes, and said, "Then let's go early and return early."
Chen Yi smiled, suddenly released his hand holding her waist, got up to dress, and Qin Qingluo followed suit. It wasn't long before both were dressed in everyday clothes, and Qin Qingluo donned a cloak.
He pulled her wrist, leading her out of the bedroom, gently guiding her towards a path leading to the side gate of the Prince Mansion.
Midnight was approaching.
"Let's go." He said in a low voice, leaving no room for argument, "If we wait any longer, the lantern boats will have passed."
Qin Qingluo, led by him, took a couple of steps, her pace a little hesitant, yet ultimately didn't stop, nor did she shake off his hand. The night wind stirred the edge of her cloak, occasionally intertwining with his clothes.
The two figures quickly disappeared into the shadowy path not lit by lanterns, heading towards the bustling and brilliant depth of the Lantern Festival night.
With Qinggong, a few swift and nimble leaps brought them into an alley, where the distant flickering light shimmered repeatedly, accompanied by waves of revelry.
In the alley, they moved forward in the dark. Just as they reached the mouth of the alley, a row of beautiful lanterns lit up ahead, just in time.
A tide of light came surging towards them.
Everywhere you looked, on both sides of the long street, beneath the eaves of towers and houses, there wasn't a place without an array of lanterns.
From near to far, countless exquisite little lanterns hung on bamboo frames, rabbit lanterns with red-dotted eyes, lotus lanterns with petals thin as cicada wings glowing with warm yellow, carousel lanterns spinning round and round, even the ladies painted on the lantern walls seemed to come alive, casting flowing shadows...
With a "hiss", fireworks trailed a silvery tail and shot into the night sky, blossoming forth.
The crowd was woven like a tapestry, shoulder to shoulder.
The men and women were dressed in splendid attire, holding petite lanterns, smiling and chatting, seizing this Lantern Festival gathering, so Chen Yi also silently took Qin Qingluo's hand.
Together, they strolled amidst the bustling scenes.
The lanterns spread far and wide.
Qin Qingluo walked along, looked around, not feeling anything particularly special, yet the man beside her was very focused, and very excited.
It seemed like a refined prince going out in plain clothing, to win the heart of the beauty, enjoying the lanterns.
The further they walked, the more crowded it became. A wide waterway lay far ahead, crowded on both sides with people.
"Lantern boats! The lantern boats are coming!"
Someone sharp-eyed called out first, this call like a drop of water falling into boiling oil, instantly igniting the already high emotions.
"Where? Where?"
"Look quickly! It's really the lantern boats!"
"So bright! It seems bigger than in previous years!"
