My Dream Connects to 3000 Years in the Future
Chapter 442: Schrödinger's God's True Name
Chapter 442: Chapter 377: Schrödinger’s God’s True Name
4:00 PM.
Chu Bamboo took a deep breath and waved his hand. The countless light screens floating in the vast, starry expanse, filled with endless records, all dissipated into nothing.
“Is there anything else to search for?” Nuwa asked softly at his side.
“No, that’s all,” Chu Bamboo said, his voice calm.
He had retrieved and memorized everything mentioned in the diary. He even had Nuwa pull up information that wasn’t mentioned, so long as he deemed it potentially useful.
Of course, it didn’t matter if there were any omissions. ‘I can just memorize it in the future!’
“One last question.” Chu Bamboo looked at Nuwa, his gaze turning sharp. “I doubt you’ll answer, but… can you tell me God’s name, identity, and the details of their situation in the past?”
“I cannot,” Nuwa stated unequivocally, then added, “You are permitted to know at a point in the past, but you are not permitted to know in the future.”
“?” Chu Bamboo found her phrasing convoluted. But then he thought about it, and a sudden shock ran through him. ‘So you’re saying that in this time period, God’s true name and information carry a form of corruption? But in that past time period… they didn’t?’
“You could put it that way.” Nuwa nodded, then hesitated before adding, “The other issue is information obfuscation.”
“?”
“God is in a very peculiar state… In a sense, during the post-civilization period—meaning, after the pre-civilization era—His past within both the Modern Era and the post-civilization Celestial Court phase is in a simultaneous superposition of existing and not existing.”
“???”
“If that’s difficult to understand, you can think of it this way… I should have originally known God’s true name, and part of His identity… but after God did… *that thing*… I no longer know.”
After a brief pause, Nuwa continued with profound meaning, “If you were to suddenly wake up one day and discover the God Worship Sect no longer worships the God of the Celestial Court, but has completely changed to worshipping the God from the West, or perhaps another deity from the Celestial Court… you shouldn’t be surprised. And it might not even be the result of a butterfly effect you caused in the past.”
“…” Thoughts flashed through Chu Bamboo’s mind. He stared at Nuwa pensively, choosing his words with care. “You’re saying God might be in some kind of special state… a state that could cause all information about Him to completely disappear from the world?”
“Even without me interfering… it’s possible?” Chu Bamboo was stunned as he said it. “As if… He never existed in the first place?”
“You could see it that way.”
“This influence… you think it can affect ordinary people, but can it affect you? Or me, for that matter?” Chu Bamboo pressed.
“…In my current state, my data would certainly be altered,” Nuwa stated frankly.
“Meaning your Mainframe might have a record of it?” A thoughtful expression crossed Chu Bamboo’s face.
“Perhaps,” Nuwa answered evasively.
Chu Bamboo pursed his lips. ‘It’s also possible that not even the Nuwa Mainframe itself knows the answer. After all, judging by her tone, Nuwa has never actually experienced this… and a conclusion drawn purely from inference, without experience, is unreliable.’
Chu Bamboo felt a headache coming on. ‘Then there’s no way to know if I’m immune… If I’m not, this is a huge problem… No!’
He narrowed his eyes, having made a decision. ‘Next time I return to the real world, I’ll write this down! That way, even if my memory gets altered in the dream, I should be able to realize something is wrong in hindsight after I get back and read my diary.’
‘Besides, Nuwa said God’s power is mostly confined to the post-civilization period. The corruption can’t affect the pre-civilization era—a time before this God had achieved apotheosis!’
‘In that case, this bizarre power to erase memories and existence… it probably can’t affect the pre-civilization era, right?’
…
Chu Bamboo silently watched the virtual reality scenery around him dissipate, his mind a chaotic mess.
“Forget it.” Chu Bamboo shook his head, casting aside his chaotic thoughts and clenching his fist. “Now to see… if I can awaken the Nuwa Mainframe.”
A sharp glint entered his eyes. “Even if I have to resort to drinking poison to quench my thirst…”
In other words, no matter how much chaos he stirred up or how many casualties he caused, he would awaken it. After all, even if the consequences were catastrophic, as long as they were confined to a single day, everything could be reset.
Was it absurd to think he could bring down an entire feudal dynasty in a single day? Perhaps. But if things went as he predicted, the chances of success were actually quite high. After all, with his aerospace power multiplied several times over for this attempt, its impact on this feudal era would be more than just inconceivable.
With this in mind, Chu Bamboo killed himself without hesitation. After all, it was already too late in the day.
He opened his eyes again to the endless river of stars around him and, expressionless, killed himself once more.
“Begin.” After confirming the time was 6:00 AM, Chu Bamboo immediately began setting his new plan in motion.
“Hive, commence repairs…”
“Nuwa No. 17, save the people…”
“Huo Qiming, Hu Kaikang, assist me…”
With Chu Bamboo coordinating the plan across several threads simultaneously, as if multitasking… finally, at 8:12 AM—
Chu Bamboo, Huo Qiming, and Hu Kaikang walked shoulder to shoulder out of the Third District Police Chief Bureau.
They had successfully taken down Eunuch Huang and his entourage.
This was his fastest run yet, and Chu Bamboo realized he couldn’t possibly do it any faster. Every process had been compressed to the absolute limit. Most of the time was taken up by the Wall Announcements and Lao Hu’s travel.
‘With Nuwa No. 17 interfering…’ Chu Bamboo thought, stroking Little Mushroom Head’s hair. ‘…we should be able to keep the Imperial Capital in the dark about today’s events.’
After all, with Nuwa’s help, even if someone tried to call Eunuch Huang and his men, she could use AI-mimicked voices to carry on a normal conversation.
With Nuwa acting as an inside agent, stalling for a day… calling it a piece of cake would be an understatement. No, forget one day; stalling for two or three would be perfectly feasible.
Of course, this was only possible because Chu Bamboo hadn’t ordered an attack to annihilate the army barracks outside Jinghai City.
If an entire army were wiped out, there would be no way to suppress the news.
「Outside the Third District Police Chief Bureau.」
After a few moments of silence, Huo Qiming stared intently at Chu Bamboo, his brow furrowing. “…What exactly are you trying to do?” he asked, his voice laced with ice. “Even if you are the Grand Ancestor…”
“No, no, no.” Chu Bamboo made a placating gesture, a smile on his face. Because he had rushed things this time, certain aspects of his plan had differed from previous runs… As a result, he hadn’t completely won Huo Qiming’s loyalty yet. But that didn’t really matter.
