My Dream Connects to 3000 Years in the Future

Chapter 339 281: Chu Bamboo: God, you really deserve to die

"DING! Detecting Authority's confusion. After deep consideration, this unit has determined that the Authority likely finds the received 'Chu Bamboo' inheritance to be too scarce..."

"DING! Providing explanation: During the first battle against the Celestial Court, when humanity was in its most critical hour, ●● invoked the Nuwa program's emergency exemption clause, overriding citizen property inheritance articles and using the legacy of 'pre-civilization humans'—the 'Chu Bamboo' inheritance, which naturally is part of the pre-civilization legacy... ●● used this legacy to save the human race..."

"???" Chu Bamboo was stunned for a moment. He took a while to sort through his thoughts, almost losing his composure as he realized what had just happened.

'The blacked-out part... is God?!' Chu Bamboo never would have imagined that he'd come all the way to the future only to hear the phrase "emergency exemption clause."

For some reason, he was reminded of a historical drama he'd seen about the Great Ming, where Emperor Jiajing roared, "That's my money! My money!"

After taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly, Chu Bamboo rubbed the bridge of his nose and sighed. 'Forget it. It's understandable...'

'Little Mushroom Head said it was to save humanity... What else could be done? Besides... back then, God basically conscripted my unmanned machines and threw them into the battles against the Celestial Court. This is essentially the same thing...'

'All I can say is, at least they left me the Chixiao Sword and these two other things... Damn it! Fuck!'

'Although, I suspect they were in such a rush during the crisis that their confiscation was a bit sloppy... and they just happened to miss a few things.' Chu Bamboo shifted his thoughts, forcing himself to calm down.

He stood up, heading out of the Nuwa Base as he made a call.

...

「A moment later.」

Third District, Special Operations Captain's Office.

"Ah Zhu, you were looking for me... huh?!" Wall Announcements burst through the door, but he stopped mid-sentence when he saw a room full of people staring at him.

Besides Chu Bamboo, Captain Li Kang, and Ning Linglong, Captain Yang was also there, along with two men with grim expressions. Wall Announcements had seen the intel on those two; they were likely the newly promoted vice-captains of the Second District.

"S-Sorry to interrupt!" Wall Announcements was sweating buckets, forcing a smile while screaming internally. 'Is this some kind of high-level meeting? Did I just do something incredibly stupid?' Just as he was about to back out, Chu Bamboo beckoned to him. "Interrupting what? We haven't even started. Go sit next to Guan Fei."

Only then did Wall Announcements notice that Guan Fei, who was usually eating nonstop with his hands constantly in motion, was now sitting perfectly still, his expression serious and his gaze fixed forward.

"..." Wall Announcements silently wiped the cold sweat from his brow and cautiously made his way to a corner, sitting down beside Guan Fei.

To his surprise, the group just sat there in silence, not discussing anything, which left him completely bewildered.

After another two minutes, just as Wall Announcements could no longer contain himself and was debating whether to venture a comment, the door finally opened.

Huo Qiming and Secretary Zhang strode in. The moment they appeared, Captain Yang and Li Kang shot to their feet. The others were a beat slower but quickly followed suit, their expressions respectful.

"Captain Huo!"

"President Huo!"

"..."

"At ease. Sit down." Huo Qiming cut off the greetings, walked directly over to Chu Bamboo, and looked him in the eye. "Alright, time is short, so I'll skip the pleasantries. I've checked on the key... it is indeed missing."

"Other than the people you confirmed were trustworthy and summoned here... I've sealed all information about this. No one else knows we're meeting."

Pausing briefly, Huo Qiming stared at Chu Bamboo. "You said it wasn't convenient to talk over the phone... Now you can tell me. What exactly is it you want to do?"

Chu Bamboo nodded, took a notebook from his pocket, and tore out several pages. Then, under the bewildered gazes of everyone present, he took out some ink and gently pressed it onto the papers...

Just like using a printing press!

The sheets of paper were instantly filled with densely packed names, places, and locations.

"...What is this?" Confusion appeared on Huo Qiming's face.

"Members of the All-Powerful Lineage who have infiltrated the Union and the major factories," Chu Bamboo said, his voice devoid of emotion. "A quick addition: the Eleventh Apostle's Divine Technique is Soul Control. So, many of the names and identities on this list are actually fake. Or, even if the identities are real, the people themselves are already dead... So if they do anything strange or terrifying, don't take it at face value."

A thought suddenly occurred to him, and he added, "Even if they're dead, you have to hit them again! It's best to chop them into pieces... because even if they show no signs of life, they might just get back up and stab you. They're already dead, after all... a lack of breathing or a heartbeat doesn't mean anything."

The room fell into a dead silence.

The crowd had varied expressions as they processed the information.

"So, this is all the work of the All-Powerful Lineage?" Huo Qiming's expression turned icy.

"You could say that." Chu Bamboo nodded. He glanced at Huo Qiming and saw him starting to flex his wrists, and knew exactly what he was thinking. He quickly chose his words. "But Old Huo, don't get any ideas. This time, the Fifth Apostle is also involved... You can't beat the Fifth Apostle. In fact, it's highly likely no one in Jinghai City can beat him."

After all, if there really was someone who could deal with the Fifth Apostle, Huo Qiming would have surely told Chu Bamboo during the previous crisis.

Huo Qiming's expression stiffened. "???"

"All of you." Chu Bamboo methodically handed the papers to Captain Yang and the vice-captains. After a moment's hesitation, he also gave a few sheets to Secretary Zhang, who was standing behind Huo Qiming. "Follow the plan on these sheets and deploy your personnel. Wait for my signal at the designated time... you must capture all enemies within five minutes!"

"Five minutes? Isn't that a bit too..." One of the vice-captains from the Second District frowned, but he trailed off as he looked at the detailed strength assessments, identities, current locations, and even noted weaknesses on the paper. He fell silent, then stammered after a long moment, "This... This is too..."

'This is ridiculously detailed, isn't it?' He almost thought he'd been handed the enemy's internal battle plan!

"So, no problem, right?" Chu Bamboo cut him off noncommittally. He watched the man nod awkwardly before looking away.

Chu Bamboo had reset so many times. Although he spent most of that time practicing his Rewrite on living people's Divine Techniques, there were times when he survived past midnight, and he would have Nuwa No. 17 summarize the various video data captured by the drones.

By compiling the data Nuwa had gathered over countless resets and combining it with his own prior knowledge of the All-Powerful Lineage, he had been able to deduce this plan after a bit of thought.

Fundamentally, as long as they followed the plan, dealing with the Black-robed Angels and other All-Powerful members that the Apostles had deployed throughout Jinghai City wasn't particularly difficult.

Compared to that... the real problem was...

Chu Bamboo's eyes glinted as he looked at Huo Qiming. "Give me an emergency directive!"

"? What are you planning to do?" Huo Qiming's brows furrowed.

"I need to mobilize some Ancient Relics and engineering machinery," Chu Bamboo said calmly. "Oh, right. I also need to mobilize the people from the Moisture Teaching... to help me with something. But they're under a certain prohibition and can't operate freely... so I'll have to trouble you to lift that ban for a bit... You have that authority, right?"

Huo Qiming gave Chu Bamboo a deep look. "In principle, no."

"So, that means it's possible?" Chu Bamboo read between the lines.

"After all, this is an emergency, isn't it?" Huo Qiming impassively glanced at the papers in the hands of Secretary Zhang, who had moved closer to him and was diligently studying the plan. The secretary deliberately angled a corner of the sheet, clearly intending for Huo Qiming to see it if he wished.

"Terrorist activities from the All-Powerful... If this isn't an emergency, then nothing is!"

Pausing briefly, Huo Qiming took a briefcase from Secretary Zhang, pulled out a blank directive, and signed his name with a flourish. He handed it over while looking directly into Chu Bamboo's eyes.

"I trust you. So, in a moment, we'll give you all of our phone numbers... As you said, when you call, we will immediately execute your plan."

"No need, I already know your numbers." Chu Bamboo paused, then held out his hand again. "Also, give me your electric scooter keys... What are you looking at? You expect me to run all the way to the Moisture Teaching on my own two feet?"

"??" Huo Qiming's eye twitched. He glanced at Secretary Zhang, who, receiving the unspoken command, quickly fished out a key and respectfully handed it over.

After watching Chu Bamboo leave, Huo Qiming remained silent for a moment before his gaze swept back over the people in the room.

Everyone stared at their noses, which stared at their hearts, feigning ignorance about what had just transpired. At the same time, they were reeling in shock. 'The way Commander Huo treats this Minister Chu... this goes beyond mere high regard, doesn't it?'

'Minister Chu certainly has a special status. With the shantytown redevelopment project covering nearly the entire Third District, his word carries even more weight than the district administrator's... You could say he has a low rank but wields great power... But even the district administrator is just another face in the crowd in front of Captain Huo!'

'As the one who controls all of Jinghai City's mortal and Extraordinary forces, even the city's "big three" have to show him respect.'

"Begin executing the plan," Huo Qiming said, his voice calm.

"Yes, sir!" they replied in unison before dispersing.

Only Li Kang, Ning Linglong, Guan Fei, and a few others remained where they stood...
