My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 156: The Primordial Four
"Just how exalted are you, to dare touch Master?"
"Just how noble are you, to dare look down on him?"
"Just how great is your worth compared to him?"
Garph couldn’t hold back the terror enveloping his heart. That sudden feeling made his whole body tremble.
How long had it been since he last felt like this?
Garph, of all people, a Dragon who couldn’t be belittled in the slightest, a Dragon with a long history, and a Dragon whose honor reached the sky, even beyond it.
Yet all of that felt meaningless before a voice whose origin he didn’t even know.
"W-who?"
Had Garph just stammered?
It was only natural. After all, at this point, wouldn’t he be a fool to keep acting arrogant?
His instincts were already screaming so loudly, while his heart pounded so hard it felt like it would burst.
Garph tried to find out who was speaking, where it came from, and what exactly was in front of him.
But no matter where he looked, Garph couldn’t see anything.
"Show yourself!"
The moment that sentence fell, only then did something happen. A gentle breeze carrying green leaves, a deeply refreshing scent reminiscent of a cool spring.
Strangely, the presence of that wind didn’t reduce Garph’s fear in the slightest.
Along with it, the first thing Garph noticed was two eyes with vertical pupils. They were glowing red eyes, yet also looked so majestic because of the fine, soft golden lines within them.
Garph was fixated on those two eyes. There was something so familiar about them, but his mind still refused to believe it.
Then, there was her face, which looked somewhat pale and doll-like. A face with a small chin, a small pointed nose, and small lips too.
Following it was green hair that spilled softly behind her, reaching her slender waist.
Her body was wrapped in a simple green dress. Yet precisely that simple appearance, like the cool breeze itself, made her look even more majestic and beautiful.
Behind her was a tail that hung down slightly, and above her head were small green horns, looking like deer antlers, to be honest.
She was a woman whose appearance would make anyone melt and feel at ease just from her presence alone.
"You are only a little Dragon, you should make yourself small before him, a Dragon with no worth at all compared to him."
Even so, despite her beautiful appearance, her temperament seemed to be the complete opposite.
Her face stayed calm and gentle, but her voice clearly showed her emotions, though whether she was angry or not wasn’t clear from her voice alone.
Garph himself couldn’t say anything for a moment. He stood silent with trembling eyes, the fear and terror merging together making it hard to speak.
Even his mind went blank. But that didn’t stop Garph from understanding one very important thing.
’Something that should have existed only in the very distant past, something recorded only in legends, almost forgotten. How could this be?’
Garph didn’t want to believe what was in his mind, but the proof was right in front of him.
’Eyes and pupils that existed only for her alone, green horns that described her perfectly.’
There was no way he could have misidentified those features.
His lips parted, and slowly his body shrank into its humanoid form, revealing Garph’s still youthful body.
His strained face looked even clearer in that form, as he lowered himself, landing gently on the ground.
"...This humble servant offers greetings to the Primordial Dragon."
His body bowed with all the respect he possessed, and his heart even began to pound as a certain emotion arose, matching the terror that frightened him.
Had Garph truly just met to one of The Primordial Four?
The Legendary Green Dragon herself? Right in front of him?
Along with fear, pure awe and reverence took over his body.
Meanwhile, the one in question simply crossed her arms, looking sulky and displeased.
"What is that? You were just about to kill my Master, and now you act respectful? Don’t you have any pride? I suppose that’s natural considering how worthless you are."
Then, such a long ramble left Garph silent for a moment.
"Pardon?"
"What?"
"...Did you just call that human your Master?"
Garph blinked as he looked at the human, who stood frozen in silence. An ordinary human still at Rank-B, had The Primordial Dragon herself said that the human was her Master?
But why?
"What’s wrong with that? Huh? I’m asking you, you bastard lizard! What’s wrong with that?"
Once again, the legendary figure had such a terrible temper that Garph began to get confused.
Garph didn’t even know which part of his question had offended her so much.
"S-sorry! I-I just don’t understand. This humble servant cannot see what you see, Milady."
The figure, still sulking, stared intensely at Garph, then snorted in irritation and looked away.
"Hmph! Of course, I know that, you don’t have good eyes. How about gouging them out?"
Garph’s whole body shuddered, while an awkward smile appeared on his face.
"Please forgive and show mercy to this humble servant of yours, Milady."
"Tsk. You’re so annoying and even boring, which Clan are you from?"
"I-it’s... The Qiezhuran Clan."
Hearing that, a brief shock appeared on the woman’s face for a moment, then she smiled.
"Oh! That Clan! Who’s the leader now? Since so much time has passed, can I guess?"
Garph wondered, he was about to answer, but as if his opinion didn’t matter, the woman answered first.
"It must be Clyne! Right? That little girl must be grown up by now."
"Lady... Clyne?"
Garph stumbled slightly in his voice upon hearing that, his expression turning into something complicated, close to sorrow.
The smile in front of him made it even harder for Garph to find the right words.
The woman seemed to notice, slightly wrinkling her beautiful face.
"What’s with that reaction? Did something happen to her?"
"...Yes," Garph nodded. "She died long ago."
