My Desire System: The More They Want Me, The Stronger I Get
Chapter 55: Breach The Dagger
Tempest rolled beneath a plasma bolt, wrenching Leo and Bekka sideways against their harness while burning vapor swallowed its wings.
The corvette covered the sun above District 1, sending scan lines through the towers while searching for the All-Spark in his chest.

"Three western turrets are turning, so dive beneath their burst before banking rearward," Sierra warned.
The bird folded one wing and dropped, letting three plasma rounds cross overhead before snapping into a climb beside the hull.
Hot pressure rolled over his coat while she braced against the harness, raising both gauntlets toward the nearest gun battery.
"Give me one clean pass, ghost boy, and I’ll make every weapon on this ugly ship forget you exist," she called.
"Make them angry enough to chase you, but save some strength for whatever waits inside," he answered, watching the targeting beams.
"Making armed idiots angry is my best skill, and energy never runs out," she replied.
She slammed her fists together, compressing the air between her palms before firing a cyclone across the corvette’s rippling shield.
The attack couldn’t pierce the barrier, but it twisted one turret aside while four others rotated toward the flare around her hands.
The bird screamed and climbed, pulling the weapons upward as plasma fire followed its tail through the clouds above the bay.
Below them, rescue carriers surrounded Ajax while his solar aura flickered, proving that raw strength couldn’t break the alien defense.
He wasn’t stronger than Ajax, but the Null Razor carried one edge capable of crossing.
"The dorsal cannon is recharging, giving you eleven seconds before the lower barrier closes and learns our flight pattern," the comm warned.
"Eleven seconds sounds generous after the week we’ve survived, so stop worrying and open the route," she replied, leaning forward.
The cannon pulled power from the corvette’s belly, dimming the shield beneath its rear engine as a narrow intake appeared.

"Move now, because I can’t create another opening once their targeting system records this approach," her voice ordered through rising static.
Tempest rolled backward toward the intake, carrying both riders between crossing streams of plasma fire.
The city spun above his head while gravity pulled him from the harness, forcing his fingers deeper around the strap.
Two guns noticed the dive and swung inward, building light along their barrels while the intake grate rushed toward them.
She released the harness and stood on the bird’s back, balancing through the drop as pressure gathered around her gauntlets.
"Keep flying and trust me to spoil their aim, because those guns only need one clean hit," she shouted over the wind.
Bekka punched toward both weapons, firing crescents that knocked their barrels apart before discharge began.
One bolt passed beneath the bird, but the other clipped its wake and sent the three of them spinning toward the engine.
Gale-Reflex Acceleration surged through his nerves, turning the tumbling sky into clear paths while his hand caught her waist.
"Five seconds remain, and the barrier is already folding across the intake," the comm warned as the countdown filled his vision.
"We jump together when I count three, then our shadow binds us until my blade opens the grate," he said, steadying her.
"You choose places for our dates, but I’ll complain after surviving this one," Bekka replied.
He counted down while the bird leveled beneath them, then both fighters kicked away as the turrets followed it into another climb.
Wind flattened his coat against his back while he drew the weapon, waking the gravity rings along its dark edge.
Kage flowed around their legs in a tether, keeping both bodies aligned as they fell toward the intake.
"Phase-Edge will cross the barrier, but pull yourself against me before it closes around the cut," he warned, raising the blade.
"Swing before Sierra starts screaming, because I don’t want that sound following me into space."
He slashed once, sending the edge through the anti-matter field and drawing a thin spatial wound across the grate.
The alloy separated without resistance, opening a gap as the barrier folded around a frequency its defenses couldn’t recognize.

"Two seconds remain, so stop flirting and get through that opening before I lose both of you," the comm shouted.
He pulled her against his chest and drove both feet into the cut, collapsing the grate beneath their combined weight.
They tumbled through coolant vapor while the shield closed, sealing the opening behind them again.
She fired one gauntlet into the decking and released a wind burst, slowing their fall before the pipework caught them.
He landed beside her with the blade forward as their beast gathered below, sending a warning through the bond.
The grate fused behind them with crawling tissue, cutting off the escape route while the ship changed its internal pressure.
"We’re inside without broken bones, making this one of our better plans," Bekka said, laughing.
"Our bird is still outside, so check on it before you congratulate yourself too much," he replied, touching the beast link.
A cry carried flashes of cloud and turret fire through his mind, confirming that the Storm Falcon remained inside the sensor gap.
"Your bird is safe for now, but this hull is swallowing every frequency I send through it," Sierra reported through static.
He removed the beacon capsule from his pouch and pressed its point into a data groove pulsing beside the sealed intake.
The capsule copied frequency maps and corridor footage, preserving proof if their connection failed later.
"The beacon is connected, so guide us toward the scan controls before this vessel finishes mapping my core," he said.
"Follow the coolant toward the command spine, because the scan chamber should sit above the reactor vault," she answered.
A vibration rolled through the floor and tilted the corridor toward the city, forcing both fighters against the wall.
Warning glyphs spread across the hull, flowing in red lines while Alien Speak translated their meaning inside his vision.

Bekka read the translation, losing her smile as the ship accelerated toward crowded towers below.
"They’re making us choose between stopping the scan and preventing a crash that could erase the defense complex," she said.
"We stop both, then free anyone trapped aboard before our bird carries us away from the wreck," he replied, moving forward.
"That’s a terrible plan with too many promises, which means it sounds exactly like something you’d attempt," she muttered, following him.
The passage rolled sideways as its gravity shifted, turning one wall into the floor while coolant moved through channels beneath them.
He adjusted his footing while Kage spread across the surface, testing their route for movement.
Several sealed pods lined the opposite wall, holding Vorn soldiers beside human captives wearing breathing masks and restraint wires.
She stopped beside one prisoner after spotting an Association pilot badge, then pressed her palm against the pod’s control strip.
"These are survivors from the fighters outside, and I’m not leaving them here when this ship starts falling," she said.
"Record every pod before we reach command, then we’ll open them after disabling the scan and collision route," he answered.
"Promise this isn’t another calm lie before you attempt something reckless alone again," Bekka said.
"Nobody stays aboard when this vessel falls, including you, so keep moving while we still control the clock," he promised.
Her shoulders loosened as she accepted the answer, falling beside him while the coolant gallery narrowed around their path.
"Shadow boy, I’m reading twelve heat signatures inside the walls, but the hull keeps hiding their exact shape," the comm warned.
He stopped and raised one hand while the beast flattened into the floor, searching the panels through their shared senses.
"Tell me whether we’re facing soldiers or another living part of this ship," Leo said.
"I can’t separate them from the hull, which means you should assume both until something tries biting you," she replied.
She raised her fists as pressure rings gathered around both gauntlets, turning slowly while the clicking moved closer.
"How many exits remain if those things surround us, and please don’t give me your usual confident answer," she asked.
He looked back as the corridor closed like a throat, folding layers of hull across the only route toward the intake.
"None remain, so we cut forward and make them regret waking before breakfast," Leo answered.
Twelve wall sections peeled outward, unfolding jointed limbs and narrow skulls while eyes locked onto the All-Spark in his chest.

The first sentry dropped from the ceiling, swinging both hooked blades toward his neck as the others closed around her.
