My Days Building A Harem At A Japanese Girls' High School
Chapter 46: "Is There Anything You Wouldn’t Do?"
Hearing that Quillan was going to strip off his bathrobe and talk to her stark naked, Ruri Hosokawa was so terrified that she opened her mouth to scream.
Quillan covered Ruri’s mouth just in time, warning her: "Class President-san, please get a grip on the situation here. Miss Himuro is right inside this house, and you were the one who barged in out of nowhere while I was taking a bath in the bathroom! If you want Miss Haruka Himuro to keep misunderstanding you, go ahead and scream!"
Put that way, Ruri truly didn’t dare to scream. The glare she directed at Quillan gradually turned into an eyes of pleading.
Once Quillan released her mouth, Ruri stammered, "What... what do you want? Move aside and let me out first! Otherwise, if Haruka-chan sees us like this, she’ll definitely think we’re doing something extremely improper, and that would be awful!"
"And what would that ’extremely improper thing’ be?"
Quillan flashed a mischievous smirk and mused aloud, "For instance, could it be that Class President-san wants to feast her eyes on my body? I’m actually a very generous person, Class President-san—here, let me show you right now!"
With that, Quillan yanked open his bathrobe. Ruri had originally thought Quillan was just joking; even though she viewed him as a scoundrel and a total pervert, she figured no matter how shameless a person was, they wouldn’t casually strip naked for someone to see, right?
Now that Quillan had actually pulled open his bathrobe, Ruri failed to react for a second. In that instant, she caught a full view of Quillan’s bare upper body. Before her eyes could travel down to his lower half, she was already scared out of her wits, covering her face with both hands.
Ruri desperately wanted to scream at the top of her lungs, yet she feared actually luring Haruka Himuro over and causing a misunderstanding. She could only endure it, and because she was terrified of facing a naked boy all by herself, her delicate body even began to tremble.
Quillan, meanwhile, wore a wicked grin, showing no intention of pulling the bathrobe back together.
On the verge of tears, Ruri pleaded through her covered face, "Hey... put your bathrobe back on!"
"I won’t!" Quillan chuckled softly, seizing the opportunity to ask, "Unless Class President-san honestly answers a few questions for me!"
"Fine, I’ll answer everything!" Ruri agreed without a second thought.
Quillan added, "I want the truth. If you lie to me, I’ll keep this bathrobe open and wait until Miss Himuro comes to use the bathroom so she can misunderstand us completely!"
"Enough already!" Ruri pleaded, practically crying. "You scoundrel, ask whatever you want, fast!"
"Very good!" Quillan smiled triumphantly and asked, "First of all, Class President-san, do you really intend to live here? You know I’m a scoundrel—hell, when I get out of hand, even I scare myself. If a beauty like Class President-san stays here long-term, I’m really worried that a scoundrel like me will definitely cause trouble for your life down the road!"
"You... you really are a scoundrel!" Ruri said. "You admitted it yourself! But why don’t you admit it to Haruka-chan? Hmph, do you think I actually want to live here? If it weren’t for Haruka-chan, I would never have run over here just to be threatened by a scoundrel like you!"
"Is that so?" Quillan probed further. "So Class President-san intends to give up living in your family’s grand villa to move into our tiny rented apartment solely for Miss Himuro’s sake? If that’s the case, you really don’t need to go to such lengths. You could just find an excuse to move somewhere else together with Miss Himuro, couldn’t you? With your family background, finding a rental right next to St. Sakura shouldn’t be difficult at all, right?"
"Of course it’s not difficult!" Ruri felt Quillan’s logic made total sense, so she looked at him in surprise and asked, "Does that mean... you pervert are actually willing to let Haruka-chan leave with me?"
"Haha..." Quillan laughed pleasantly. "Why wouldn’t I be?"
All he wanted was a peaceful, quiet life. But with Haruka Himuro around, Ruri Hosokawa was bound to move in as well. If things came to that, how could Quillan ever enjoy the quiet, ordinary life he dreamed of?
What’s more, Ruri Hosokawa’s mother, Rumiko Hosokawa, had specifically pulled Quillan aside for a private chat. Rumiko’s intention was to ask Quillan to help correct her daughter’s spoiled heiress attitude—she had even explicitly mentioned that she wouldn’t mind if Quillan and Ruri became a romantic couple!
In the eyes of others, Ruri Hosokawa might be a utterly perfect romantic partner. After all, Ruri was exceptionally drop-dead gorgeous—the kind of stunning beauty that could take someone’s breath away at first glance. On top of that, she was the sole heiress of a massive corporate conglomerate, a family background that could drive countless suitors wild!
Yet to Quillan, Ruri’s looks and family background were nothing to write home about.
Without boasting, when it came to family background, a big conglomerate like the Hosokawa family might seem unobtainable to ordinary people, but compared to Quillan’s family, the Hosokawa Conglomerate was merely average.
At most, the Hosokawa family just possessed some wealth. Quillan’s family, on the other hand, was an ancient martial arts clan with centuries—if not over a millennium—of heritage, deeply rooted with intricate branch lineages and immense foundational strength. Even if they weren’t vastly superior to the Hosokawa family, they were at least a step above them!
As for beauty...
Well, although Quillan wasn’t particularly fond of that girl Victoria Quinn, truth be told, Victoria’s appearance was genuinely breathtaking, not trailing behind Ruri Hosokawa in the slightest!
Furthermore, Victoria’s family background wasn’t weaker than Japan’s Hosokawa family in any way—Quillan was crystal clear on this point. In fact, the Quinn family’s strength likely surpassed the his family’s. After all, as an ancient martial arts clan bearing the Quinn surname for thousands of years, how could an ordinary family compare to them?
That was precisely why Quillan was fed up with Victoria Quinn, yet could only hide away in Japan on the sly.
To be frank, while Quillan wasn’t afraid of Victoria Quinn, he didn’t want to provoke her either.
For the sake of his family’s interests, Quillan could only choose to step back temporarily.
It was precisely Victoria’s relentless, day-and-night harassment over the past few years that made Quillan lose interest the moment he saw women nowadays. Take Ruri Hosokawa and Haruka Himuro, for instance—he genuinely didn’t harbor a single ulterior motive toward either of them!
However, Ruri clearly didn’t believe him. She stared at Quillan in astonishment and asked, "You scoundrel, you’re not deliberately lying to me, are you? You forced Haruka-chan to be your personal maid, made her call you ’Master,’ and even stripped naked to scare me—is there anything you wouldn’t do? So you’d definitely never agree to let Haruka-chan leave your side, right?"
