Chapter 566 - 46: The Primordial Spirit’s Sea of Qi is Formed

Wang Ping had said half a month out of caution, but in reality, he felt a sudden premonition one morning only three days later while meditating at the highest point of the island. He then cast divination blocks to perform a reading.

A Holy Trigram!

A good omen.

For some reason, Wang Ping suddenly felt the urge to practice a set of the Chang Chun Technique.

So, under Yu Lian’s curious gaze, he rose and stood at the cliff’s edge. He recalled every move of the Chang Chun Technique, then naturally performed the entire set. Afterward, as if it were a psychological effect, he felt the flow of Spiritual Qi within him become somewhat smoother.

As the abundant Wood Spirit True Qi circulated through his body, Wang Ping experienced a unique sensation. He immediately summoned the Pocket World Mirror and returned with Yu Lian to the underground cavern beneath the Mountain Peak Dojo.

Ten Celestial Swords emerged, arranging themselves in order. The moment the Divine Technique Formation took shape, Wang Ping’s mind grew rational again. He reached out, sensing the abundant spiritual nature within the array, then turned to look at Yu Lian. Her eyes were filled with anticipation.

Wang Ping first shielded the minds of the believers connected to the Divine Technique Formation. He sat cross-legged on the cloud bed, then summoned his Primordial Spirit Consciousness, which also sat cross-legged beside him. Yu Lian transformed into her massive hundred-foot form, coiling around Wang Ping’s physical body and Primordial Spirit. Her giant, vertical pupils stared at the highly active Spiritual Energy in the Inspiration Realm.

After more than ten breaths of silence, Wang Ping’s Primordial Spirit focused on its Dantian. His consciousness guided the fragile meridians within it to absorb Spiritual Energy.

A quarter of an hour later, the Spiritual Energy completed a Grand Circulation within his Primordial Spirit.

At that moment, Wang Ping subconsciously recalled the sensation in his body after performing the Chang Chun Technique—the pleasant feeling of his Qi Sea swirling in his Dantian. He then instinctively guided the Spiritual Energy circling within his Primordial Spirit’s Dantian.

In a trance, he felt a barely perceptible vortex form in his Primordial Spirit’s Dantian, slowly drawing in the gathered spiritual nature and Spiritual Energy from the Inspiration Realm.

This did not mean he had succeeded yet, because the circulation driven by the Primordial Spirit’s Dantian through all its meridians was still very weak. At times, it even required a manual push from him.

Just like in the beginning stages of Qi Cultivation and Energy Gathering, this was a time when one absolutely could not rush. Having cultivated for several hundred years, Wang Ping was not about to get anxious now, especially since he was in a rational state of mind.

Therefore, he unhurriedly continued with his usual method of cultivating his Primordial Spirit, methodically initiating the second Grand Circulation. During this process, he clearly felt the Spiritual Energy and spiritual nature pass through the Grand Circulation. As they converged in his Dantian, they transformed into an energy nearly identical to his Primordial Spirit, merging and resonating with it.

Just then, however, the Spiritual Energy in the area was completely depleted, insufficient to support a third Grand Circulation. The rational Wang Ping thought of a solution in an instant: he opened the channel to his believers and released his suppression of the Divine Technique Formation.

The next moment, on the dilapidated Divine Skill Map constructed by the formation, the accumulated spiritual nature of hundreds of thousands of believers began to converge. Following some cosmic law, it was drawn by countless fine golden threads toward the map.

Moreover, this spiritual nature was incredibly compatible with Wang Ping’s Primordial Spirit Consciousness. Even in his rational state, he couldn’t resist the urge to absorb it, but he forced himself to hold back.

This was still no time to be hasty. He needed to slowly solidify his Primordial Spirit’s Qi Sea, and the only way to do that was to patiently absorb Spiritual Energy and complete one Grand Circulation after another within the Primordial Spirit.

When the third Grand Circulation was complete, he could clearly perceive an Energy Vortex forming within his Primordial Spirit.

Because he was establishing a Qi Sea, Wang Ping did not adhere to his usual limit of three Grand Circulations per day. After adjusting his condition and sensing Yu Lian’s emotions, he decisively began a fourth Grand Circulation. Upon its completion, the Energy Vortex began to stabilize.

Then, the special Primordial Spirit Energy converted by the Dantian began to spread slowly through all the meridians, suffusing the Primordial Spirit’s illusory body. However, when the Primordial Spirit Energy gathered in its meridians, it failed to start circulating on its own.

Wang Ping intervened at once. He began guiding the energy to circulate through the meridians, using the same methods he had learned during Qi Cultivation, while simultaneously absorbing more Spiritual Energy to fortify the Qi Sea.

By the time the sixth Grand Circulation was complete, Wang Ping’s consciousness could clearly sense that the Energy Vortex in his Primordial Spirit’s Dantian had stabilized. Furthermore, even when he stopped actively guiding the flow, the vortex could now autonomously draw external Spiritual Energy into the Primordial Spirit. This energy would then merge with the Primordial Spirit Energy generated by the Qi Sea and complete Grand Circulations on its own.

At this moment, Wang Ping’s Primordial Spirit’s Sea of Qi was finally complete!

However, Wang Ping did not wake up immediately. He continued to circulate the energy of his Primordial Spirit’s Qi Sea, absorbing more Spiritual Energy and spiritual nature to increase his Primordial Spirit’s strength.

「Two months later」

When Wang Ping’s Primordial Spirit’s Sea of Qi had completely stabilized, he released the hand seal he was holding for the Spell. The next moment, his Primordial Spirit Consciousness returned to his physical body.

The world seemed to grow clearer in that instant. As his consciousness drifted, he found he could perceive everything between heaven and earth without even needing to deliberately activate his Primordial Spirit. Whether in the physical world or the Inspiration Realm, the energy particles that had once required the Spiritual Vision Technique to observe were now visible to him with a mere thought.

He lifted his head, his consciousness piercing through the Qianmu Mountain Range to gaze into outer space beyond the clouds. Trillions upon trillions of energy particles appeared in his ’vision,’ layered throughout both the physical world and the Inspiration Realm. They were apparently being devoured by Spiritual Creatures that had gathered nearby.

But what these mindless Spiritual Creatures didn’t realize was that the very energy they devoured would gradually erode their faint survival instincts, eventually assimilating them back into new energy particles.

He wasn’t sure how much time had passed. Perhaps his consciousness had lingered in outer space for too long and caused a disturbance. The Spiritual Creatures greedily devouring the energy particles suddenly turned their distorted heads in unison, facing his direction. In an instant, countless profound consciousnesses surged toward him.

Sensing danger, Wang Ping immediately severed the link with his projected consciousness.

Wang Ping let out a long breath, relieving the tension and fear that had just shattered his rationality. After more than ten breaths, his emotions finally stabilized, and he turned to look at Yu Lian.

Yu Lian was reading the minds of some believers connected to the Divine Technique Formation and was even responding to their prayers for healing. After all, the Water Spirit Technique possessed powerful restorative abilities.

Wang Ping didn’t stop her. In a way, Yu Lian’s consciousness was even stronger than his; she wouldn’t lose herself amidst the faith of the Divine Country.

"Are you finished?"

Yu Lian cut her connection to the believers. Her massive form, which had been coiled around the cloud bed, rapidly shrank until she landed on Wang Ping’s shoulder.

Wang Ping reached out and gently stroked Yu Lian’s head, saying, "It’s done."

"What can it do?"

"From now on, my Primordial Spirit can cross hundreds of kilometers in an instant with just a thought. It can also cast some Magic. However, right now I can only use Basic Magic. It needs to be trained, just like our physical bodies."

"In other words, as long as your Primordial Spirit remains, you won’t die even if your physical body is completely destroyed, right?"

"You could say that."
