My Cuckhold System
Chapter 368: Angel Trigger Vs West
The woman sat silently, looking frightened while Jax kept his eyes on her. "Don’t worry."
She didn’t respond.
"We aren’t going to hurt you."
Suddenly, a bracelet around the woman’s wrist began glowing.
Jax’s eyes widened.
"What the—?"
"Get away from her!"
Jax reached toward her but it was too late.
FLASH!
A blinding burst of light filled the entire vehicle causing everyone to cover their eyes.
When the light disappeared, the woman was gone.
Jax stared at the empty seat. "What?"
He grabbed the seat and looked around the vehicle but she was truly gone. "Where did she go?!"
The driver slammed on the brakes resulting in the vehicle screeching to a halt.
Jax’s breathing became rapid as he commanded. "Search the vehicle!"
They searched everything but found nothing...
She had simply vanished.
---
Back to the present...
West’s face hardened. "He put a spatial amulet on her..."
His voice was barely above a whisper. "Damn it."
Angel Trigger’s smile widened while West slowly looked at him.
Angel Trigger crossed his arms. "Unlike you..."
His expression became smug. "I’m always prepared for the worst."
He leaned forward. "Now you have no leverage over me."
West’s eyes narrowed.
For several seconds, neither moved and then suddenly... West’s aura erupted.
BOOM!
The floor beneath his feet cracked as West disappeared.
The chair behind him exploded from the force of his acceleration while Angel Trigger barely raised his arm.
BANG!
West’s fist collided with his guard, sending shockwaves through the club.
The battle exploded before either side had the chance to reconsider.
The floor cracked, tables overturned and glass exploded from nearby windows.
People screamed as they rushed toward the exits.
"Get out!"
"An awakened battle!"
"Run!"
The luxurious club that had moments earlier been filled with music, laughter and expensive drinks had become a battlefield.
West pulled his fist back and immediately noticed something strange.
A strange pressure was gathering around Angel Trigger. Angel Trigger was one of the very few young awakened who had already achieved Tier 2. He was even younger than Zu Li but still much older than West.
Angel Trigger slowly raised his hand. "Let’s see how well you handle this."
A brilliant light suddenly descended from above causing West’s eyes to narrow.
"What the—?"
The light engulfed Angel Trigger and for a moment, his entire body disappeared inside it.
BOOM!
Then, the light exploded outward and Angel Trigger emerged with a gigantic glowing shield attached to his arm.
It was enormous and its surface was covered in intricate golden patterns resembling wings, while a radiant symbol throbbed at its center.
West stared. "So that’s why they call you Angel Trigger."
Angel Trigger smiled. "Figured it out?"
West’s eyes narrowed as he sensed Angel Trigger’s awakened state properly. "Four branches."
Angel Trigger’s smile widened. "Not bad."
West immediately understood the significance.
Angel Trigger wasn’t merely a Tier 2... he was a four-branch Tier 2.
That meant he had awakened with two branches when he first became a Tier 1.
West’s expression became more serious.
Most awakened were lucky to possess one branch when they awakened.
Some very rare and exceptional individuals awakened with two... and any one who started with two, would acquire two more upon reaching Tier 2.
Such folks were absolute monsters among awakened...
And now West was fighting him personally.
Angel Trigger raised the enormous shield. "Come."
Without hesitating, West reached into his inventory and in the next moment, the Guardian Sword appeared in his hand.
The massive blade immediately oozed of dark energy.
The moment West swung, a gigantic dark crescent tore through the air.
BOOOOM!
Angel Trigger simply pointed his shield toward it.
The glowing surface flashed and as soon as the dark crescent struck, it changed direction.
West’s eyes widened. "What?"
The attack was redirected, coming back at twice the force and speed.
West barely had time to react. "Damn!"
He raised his Guardian Sword horizontally at the last moment.
BOOOOOOM!
The dark crescent slammed into the blade with immense explosive force, launching West backward.
His feet left the ground as he tore through the club’s remaining wall.
CRASH!
He flew outside and smashed through another wall before finally landing on the street, causing concrete to explode beneath him.
West rolled several times before stopping while Angel Trigger emerged through the destroyed wall.
"Are you sure this isn’t foolish?" his glowing shield remained in front of him. "You’re fighting someone who already has two of your loved ones."
West slowly pushed himself upright and dust fell from his clothes.
He wiped a small streak of blood from his mouth before smiling.
"Well..." his eyes hardened. "I’m sure they’ll be fine once you’re dead."
Angel Trigger laughed. "You’re insane."
West vanished once more, moving at astonishing speed but Angel Trigger raised his shield right in time.
BOOM!
West’s fist struck it and the redirected impact sent another shockwave through the street but West had moved away just in time to avoid it.
Angel Trigger laughed again, obviously not taking West seriously.
It was obvious that he didn’t want West dead... he wanted to watch him suffer.
He wanted to watch the supposedly untouchable West Einstein lose control because two people he cared about had been taken from him.
Every desperate attack, furious expression and every moment West lost his composure, Angel Trigger enjoyed all of it. "You really are entertaining!"
Swhihhhh~
Boom!
Swhiiiihhh~
Boom!
Whenever West swung or kicked, Angel Trigger blocked.
The shield was always intercepting every attack like Angel Trigger could see it coming.
West twisted and struck again but once more, Angel Trigger’s shield absorbed the blow.
The street around them was being destroyed because West moved fast enough to avoid the rebound whenever Angel Trigger blocked his attacks.
Cars flipped, streetlights bent and windows shattered as the shockwaves tore chunks from nearby buildings.
West had researched Angel Trigger before coming here so he knew about the Trigger bloodline.
But knowing something on paper and fighting against it personally were two completely different things...
Angel Trigger’s movements were refined.
His shield wasn’t simply defensive, he used it like a weapon.
As West attacked again, he blocked and spun around, displacing West’s footing before smashing the shield into West’s chest.
BOOM!
