My Core is the Boss

Chapter 416.1: Anxious Sister Horns, Finally Arriving at the Sixth Heaven!

Qi Yuan showed not the slightest bit of mercy as he unleashed that overwhelmingly powerful strike. Menggu widened her eyes, desperately trying to resist. Unfortunately, what little divine power she had was as insignificant as an ant before him.

He erased her from existence. "To the Underworld you go, you filthy snitch!"

Usually, using power that transcended the limits would have alerted the Yang Spirits stationed nearby. Fortunately, Qi Yuan had caught them all while “fishing.” Her death was destined to be a flawless success. This time, he was especially careful not to destroy her storage pouch.

Killing a snitch really clears the mind! He thought randomly.

Just then, he felt somewhat depressed. "Should I start reflecting on myself? I especially targeted someone who reported me. If this got posted online, wouldn't I look rather bad?"

After all, someone had just reported him, and he immediately beat them to death. It exposed a rather serious issue, which could negatively influence public morality at worst.

It's fine. She's dead now. Nobody knows.

Thinking of this, he immediately felt lucky again. As long as nobody knew, it wouldn't corrupt social values. It was no big deal.

Opening Menggu’s storage pouch, he searched through the treasures inside. "Hmm... A Heaven-Piercing Jade, and it still carries Sister Horn's aura... It's still warm?"

He instantly understood what had happened. The little guilt he had initially felt disappeared completely. "So you stole something that belonged to me! You really deserved to die!"

After some rummaging, he also found several Divine Methods. However, most of them were identical to the ones he had obtained from the Moluo Yang Spirits.

He shrugged, walking back. "As expected, compared to my White Moonlight, you're far too poor. Even after taking advantage of someone, you don't even bother bathing."

The ugly old woman was dead. There was nothing anyone could do about it. By the time the people at the Black Demon Abyss outpost discovered what had happened, Qi Yuan would already have ascended to the upper world.

Upon returning, he sought out Hongyu once again and continued his inquiries about the upper world. Through her explanations regarding the Yang Spirits and the various factions of the upper world, he gained an even deeper understanding. Astonishingly, the Principle Society was the leading power in the Sixth Heaven. Almost every Principle realm cultivator held membership within the Principle Society.

This was closely related to the society's Creation Treasure, the Principle Wall. Its name was remarkably similar to the Myriad Principle Gate. Before that wall, Heavenly Venerables could determine their own paths more easily and comprehend their own principle. That was why even the proud Heavenly Venerables had to lower their heads somewhat before the Principle Society, for not everyone was qualified to receive an invitation to the Principle Symposium.

Inside Mochi's cave abode, Qi Yuan had discovered an invitation to the Principle Symposium. "I never expected this Heavenly Venerable Mochi to be such a corporate slave. He worked for the Principle Society for so many years just to earn a single invitation to the Principle Symposium?"

This invitation had been earned through countless years of unpaid labor for the Principle Society. Now, however, it was going to benefit him instead. He felt that the White Moonlights of the upper world were truly generous.

There was another matter that surprised him as well. Paradoxically, the First Heaven contained the greatest number of Yang Spirits. However, most of them were unaffiliated cultivators with no backing, slumbering across the wilderness as they secluded themselves in hopes of achieving a breakthrough.

Not every Yang Spirit had the opportunity to break through into the Principle realm, just as not every Yang Spirit was willing to lower themselves to working for the Principle Society merely to increase their odds. That was how another group came to exist among them: the Alternative Yang Spirits.

Hongyu explained earnestly, "It is precisely because they cannot break through into the Principle realm that some Heavenly Position Yang Spirits choose entirely different paths! They only strengthen their qi, or devote themselves solely to strengthening their Divine Domains.

"These Alternative Yang Spirits are stronger than ordinary Heavenly Position ones. The very best among them can even rival Minor Principle Yang Spirits. But in the eyes of the Major Principle experts, they are still far too weak."

Deep down, however, she found it rather puzzling. Wasn’t Qi Yuan a guest official of the Black Demon Abyss? How could he know so little about the affairs of the upper world? It was as if he had just ascended yesterday. Still, ordinary cultivators usually ascended to the First Heaven, and they possessed nowhere near Qi Yuan’s strength.

Qi Yuan stared at Hongyu. "Oh."

Suddenly, he launched a sneak attack! Hongyu had absolutely no time to react before she fell unconscious.

Filled with surprise, Jiang Lingsu covered her mouth. "Senior Brother, what are you doing?"

"Since we’re going to head to the upper world, I have to stash her inside the Underworld. But I'd rather not let outsiders know about my Underworld. Hehe, wasn't that sneak attack just now completely unexpected? Nobody could possibly have reacted in time."

Jiang Lingsu was speechless. Who would've expected him to attack in the middle of a conversation?

She couldn’t help but say, "Senior Brother, don't ever do that to me. If you’re going to pull a sneak attack, at least tell me beforehand!"

"Alright," he answered casually.

Suddenly, Jiang Lingsu seemed to think of something, and her gaze became profound. "Haa.. Senior Brother, how about I go back into your Violet Palace as well? When I follow you around, everyone looks at me in such a strange manner..."

Indeed, whoever saw her accompanying Qi Yuan would always gawk at her. Her cultivation was simply too low. She wasn't even qualified to serve as his servant. Though she never said anything outright, even Hongyu had revealed enough through her expression for Jiang Lingsu, as a fellow woman, to notice.

She hugged his arm, blinking. "Senior Brother, do you dislike me because my cultivation is low?"

"Why would I dislike you? Isn't everyone equal?" He appeared utterly confused before sighing deeply. "The cultivation world’s moral climate is terrible!"

To him, regardless of whether Jiang Lingsu was Foundation Establishment, Yang Spirit, or even Dao Ancestor, she would always be his wealthy junior sister. One cultivated to immortality for the sake of freedom. If someone regarded themselves as inherently superior to others, then they could never truly attain freedom.

She felt both joy and lingering uncertainty. "I still have to cultivate diligently!"

He encouraged, "Keep it up! Work hard until you become a Core Formation cultivator!"
