Mountain Ghost Granny valued Ying Chou greatly—a person who could anticipate the dangers of Demon Origin Mountain and utilize his ideas in such a perilous place as the Demon Abyss Mountain, having narrowly escaped death several times and becoming braver in battle—which deeply pleased Mountain Ghost Granny.

“It won’t be. I and several elder sisters will always stand atop the Demon Abyss Mountain. I promise you.”

Ying Chou solemnly assured Mountain Ghost Granny.

The wrinkled face of Mountain Ghost Granny showed a faint smile.

An antiquated wooden staff was handed to Ying Chou by Mountain Ghost Granny.

Mountain Ghost Granny shook her head: “Take it, it is yours. This thing is less effective in the hands of this old lady than in yours, but of course, it’s not given without conditions.”

Upon hearing that it wasn’t given for free, Ying Chou paused from declining and focused on Mountain Ghost Granny.

Mountain Ghost Granny smiled at Ying Chou.

Just then, the entire Demon Origin Mountain trembled violently: “Retreat, all of you leave for now, relay the message back and inform West Continent City of changes at Demon Origin Mountain.”

“Senior, let me go in and take a look. You remain here, with the Transmission Wooden Staff there’s no risk to me.”
