Chapter 213

Liyu rushed forward with full force. He charged ahead without holding anything back. He had been harassed by Shi Tian for long enough. More than enough.

The endless attacks, the suppression, the constant feeling of being toyed with, and the way Shi Tian had treated him as though he were nothing more than a weakling who could be killed whenever he felt like it. Liyu had endured all of it, but now... he was going to end it. Once and for all.

Green lightning erupted wildly around his body. Countless blades formed from the Heavenly Verdant Lightning, each one pulsing with terrifying power... daggers, spears, scythes, swords, and every other kind of blade imaginable.

They filled the space behind Liyu like an enormous army of destruction. Primal Qi surged through each weapon, and the moment the Primal Qi entered them, their already terrifying power soared to another level.

At the same time, Primal Qi circulated violently through Liyu’s limbs. His muscles tightened, his body became lighter, his strength surged, and his speed rose to an extraordinary level.

Then... BOOM! Liyu blitzed forward. His speed was so ridiculous that his movement almost seemed impossible. The countless lightning weapons followed directly behind him, forming what looked like a gigantic tsunami of death and destruction... a tsunami that was charging toward a single person.

From anyone’s perspective... the scene was deadly, terrifying, and scary enough to make even the most powerful cultivator instinctively suck in a cold breath. Even the strongest-willed soldiers watching the battle couldn’t help but feel their bodies become frail and feeble when faced with the sheer destructive force that was about to descend upon Shi Tian.

It looked like a catastrophe, a disaster given physical form, and Shi Tian... was standing directly in its path. To everyone watching, he seemed like he was about to become the victim. That was the thought that flashed through the minds of countless spectators. It’s over for Shi Tian. That was what many of them believed.

Liyu’s speed was simply too fast. In only a few blinks of an eye, he had already crossed a huge portion of the stage. He was closing in. Closer. Closer. And closer. He was about to unleash death and destruction upon that young, emotionless man standing before him.

Perhaps... he might even finally force an emotion out of that bastard. Maybe pain. At the very least, Liyu would be doing him a favor. His grin widened. It became almost maddening. His eyes gleamed with an intense and vicious light as he prepared to unleash all of his wrath upon Shi Tian.

And yet... the senses that had been tingling subtly before suddenly changed. Buzz! They tingled violently. Every sense in Liyu’s body screamed at once: danger.

His body reacted before his mind could even properly understand what was happening. Liyu’s brow furrowed. It couldn’t have become any tighter. That same question surfaced in his mind again... a question that no one was there to answer for him. I am the one doing the attacking... so why do I feel as if I am the one in danger?

The sensation of danger continued approaching. Fast. Very fast. And yet... Shi Tian was still standing there. His gaze remained emotionless. He wasn’t launching an attack. That much was certain. His posture remained calm, relaxed, and completely unbothered.

It was as though there was nothing in this world capable of frightening him. But that wasn’t even the strangest part. He didn’t look like someone preparing to defend himself either. There was no defensive stance, no visible preparation, and nothing. He simply stood there. Waiting.

Liyu closed the remaining distance in a blink. His Void Piercer was ready, the countless lightning blades behind him were ready, and every attack he had planned was ready. Then... they descended. The Void Piercer stabbed forward, and the countless lightning weapons attacked from every direction.

And yet... "Wind Step." Shi Tian’s voice calmly rang out. His figure blurred. He moved to the right. A lightning blade tore through the exact spot where his head had been only a moment earlier. Whoosh! Another blade came down, then another, then dozens, hundreds. The lightning weapons rained down upon him.

And then... an impossible scene unfolded. Shi Tian began repeatedly using Wind Step... the simplest movement technique he had created, the simplest movement form of the Wind Sovereign Art. And yet... he had mastered it beyond perfection.

With each movement, his body shifted only a tiny distance... one meter, two meters, sometimes three. That was all. He wasn’t fleeing across the stage, he wasn’t creating massive distance, and he wasn’t performing some grand movement technique. He was simply moving. One step, one shift, one turn, one slight adjustment of his body. And every single attack missed.

His movements were too fast, too precise, and too perfectly timed. He avoided every attack as though he already knew where each blade would land. The countless weapons that should have shredded him apart passed harmlessly beside his body. One after another. Again and again.

It was like watching a master ninja casually toy with a newly recruited novice. The difference wasn’t merely speed. It was control, precision, and experience. Shi Tian’s understanding of movement had reached an absurd level.

Liyu’s eyes twitched. He refused to give up. He pressed the attack himself. With King Rayden also occupying the core front of the fused state, the coordination between the two became terrifying. Liyu attacked. King Rayden adjusted.

Lightning struck from one angle, the Void Piercer attacked from another, and the countless lightning weapons continued raining down. Shi Tian evaded many of them. But not all. Some attacks managed to connect. And yet... Clang! They were completely nullified.

The attacks struck Shi Tian’s Wind Veil. And the Wind Veil didn’t even seem to budge. Liyu’s expression changed. This Wind Veil... was different. Far too different.

Compared to the Wind Veil Shi Tian had used earlier, this one was on another level entirely. It was so powerful that the previous Wind Veil almost seemed like a cheap imitation, a mere limitation, a weakened version that had been deliberately kept at a lower level. And in reality... that was exactly what it was.

The Wind Veil Shi Tian was using now... was the true Wind Veil. The earlier Wind Veil that Liyu had managed to tear apart was merely the weaker version Shi Tian kept surrounding himself with most of the time.

Even that weaker version was already absurdly powerful. It was a defense that no one below the Foundation Stage could even dream of scratching... not breaking, not shattering, not overcoming. Simply scratching it was already beyond their capabilities.

Yet this... this was the Wind Veil at its full power, at one hundred percent, its true strength, its complete defensive capability. And the defense it offered was something that even most peak Foundation Realm experts would struggle to overcome. So yes... whether Liyu was powerful right now or not barely mattered. He couldn’t break it.

The attack continued. Liyu kept pressing forward, throwing one attack after another at Shi Tian, yet that terrifying Wind Veil continued to stand between them like an insurmountable wall. And the longer the battle continued, the worse the feeling in Liyu’s chest became.

Something was wrong. Very wrong. Shi Tian had said that he would allow Liyu to throw everything he had at him. Then... he would end this little charade. There was only one possible meaning behind those words. Shi Tian was planning to kill him afterward.

Well... that was to be expected. This was a death match, after all. There were no rules against killing. There was only one simple condition: the one who survived among the two... won.

But still... the more Liyu attacked... the more Shi Tian evaded... the more Shi Tian blocked... the more that pair of dark, empty, emotionless eyes remained fixed on him... the stronger the feeling became. Those eyes were like an endless abyss. There was nothing within them... no fear, no excitement, no anger, no desperation, nothing. And that was precisely what made them terrifying.

The more Liyu looked into those eyes, the more he felt as though something was wrong, as though Shi Tian was waiting, preparing, setting something up. And whatever that something was... it wasn’t going to be small, and it certainly wasn’t going to be good for him.

Liyu’s gaze changed. His expression became increasingly solemn. He pressed the attack harder, then harder, and harder still. His movements became more aggressive, his attacks became more violent, and he refused to give Shi Tian even the slightest opportunity to breathe. But Shi Tian continued to defend, continued to evade, and continued to calmly stare at him.

Until... several moves later... CRACK! The Wind Veil surrounding Shi Tian’s body finally shattered. The almost imperceptible barrier that had persisted around him for what seemed like forever finally broke apart under Liyu’s relentless assault. Fragments of wind scattered into the air. The protection was gone. Shi Tian was now standing there completely exposed. Right there. Within reach. Available to be slaughtered.

Liyu’s eyes sharpened. He attacked immediately. He wasn’t going to leave anything to chance. Chances never turned out well, after all. Not when dealing with someone like Shi Tian. Because of that... Liyu placed everything he had into this attack. There would be no holding back, no hesitation, no wasted movement.

Primal Qi surged violently forward. Green lightning erupted around him, crackling and raging like the distant roar of mighty thunder. The countless lightning weapons descended from every angle... daggers, swords, spears, scythes, blades of every shape and size. They rained down upon Shi Tian from all directions, completely surrounding him. There was nowhere to escape. Nowhere to hide. Liyu’s attack was like a storm of destruction descending upon a single target.

And yet... Shi Tian remained calm. He didn’t move. He simply slowly raised his eyes. His gaze met Liyu’s. Liyu’s eyes were crackling with raging green lightning. Shi Tian’s eyes remained empty, cold, dark, and emotionless. Then... he spoke. "Sixth Form..." His voice was calm. Almost too calm. "Ultimate Defense." A pause. Then... "Ninefold Gale Barrier."

The instant those words left Shi Tian’s mouth... the sense of danger that Liyu had felt when he first launched his attack returned. It didn’t return gradually. It came rushing back like a gigantic tide. BOOM! Liyu’s pupils constricted. His scalp went numb. His spine tingled. Every instinct in his body screamed at once: danger!

That feeling he had sensed earlier... the feeling he had somehow shaken off while continuing his assault... had returned. And this time, it was stronger. Far stronger.

In front of Shi Tian... a small gale appeared. It was tiny at first, almost insignificant, just a small current of wind swirling quietly in front of him. Then... it began to rotate. Faster. Faster. Faster. The tiny current rapidly transformed into a rushing tide of wind, a violent torrent, a gigantic swirling gale that resembled a miniature tornado.

Then another appeared, and another, and another... until nine in total. Nine raging wind torrents appeared around Shi Tian. They surrounded him from every direction, rotating around his body like protective guardian shadows. But they weren’t shadows. They were real. Raging currents of wind. Each one rotated with terrifying speed, each one carried an overwhelming pressure, and each one radiated an aura that made the air itself seem to tremble.

And then... Liyu’s attack arrived. The gale appeared almost instantly... less than a microsecond before Liyu’s attacks struck. And the moment they made contact... BOOOOOOM! Everything changed.

Every single attack Liyu had thrown... was shredded. Instantly. The moment the lightning weapons entered the raging gale, they were torn apart... swords, daggers, spears, scythes, every weapon, every strand of green lightning, every trace of Primal Qi. Everything was completely shredded as though it were nothing more than paper thrown into a gigantic windmill.

Liyu’s gaze shook. His pupils contracted violently. His mind screamed one word: impossible! He had never seen something like this before. The nine rotating gales continued to spin. They roared like a raging tide of doom. The air around them distorted. Their rotation generated a terrifying destructive force that made even Liyu instinctively feel threatened.

And the closer he got... the stronger that feeling became. An overwhelming sense of danger washed over him. It wasn’t ordinary danger. It was the kind of danger that made his instincts scream at him to turn around and run.

Liyu immediately understood something: approaching those things carelessly... would be suicide. The nine gale torrents weren’t simply barriers. They were death zones. Anyone foolish enough to enter their range would most likely be torn apart.

Liyu’s expression became grim. He immediately relied on his understanding of speed and mobility... momentum, acceleration, direction, and every aspect of movement that he possessed. And with King Rayden’s green lightning reinforcing his body, Liyu was able to halt his advance. His body abruptly stopped.

Then... he retreated. Fast. He escaped from the range of the several spinning wind torrents. The nine gales continued roaring behind him, radiating a chilling aura of death. It was as though they were silently declaring one simple fact... nothing can survive within them.

Liyu landed several meters away. His breathing was heavier now, and his expression had become far more wary. This Shi Tian guy... was not normal. Actually... Liyu had already learned that the moment the final match began. But now... he was finally beginning to understand what it truly meant.

What it meant to encounter someone who was scarier than himself, someone who possessed the kind of power that could make even Liyu feel genuinely threatened.

Liyu’s lips slowly pressed into a thin line. Not because of the thought. Because... he could have sworn he had just seen Shi Tian smile. But there was nothing warm about that smile, nothing friendly, nothing reassuring. Instead... it was filled with killing intent. Dense. Heavy. Chilling. The kind of killing intent that seemed capable of freezing the blood itself.

Liyu’s eyes twitched. He stared at Shi Tian. What the hell is this devil planning?

But before he could even understand what Shi Tian intended to do... Shi Tian raised one finger. He pointed directly at Liyu. Then... he spoke a single word. "Advance." The word was simple, calm, yet it carried an absolute command... like a commander ordering his troops forward. And his loyal troops... obeyed.

The nine wind torrents moved. At first, they only trembled. Then... BOOM! They charged forward. Nine raging torrents of wind. Nine rotating storms of death. They rushed ahead with terrifying speed.

They swarmed toward a single target, one individual, and that individual... was none other than Liyu. The nine gales surged forward together. Their rotation became even more violent, their killing aura became even denser, and the force radiating from them seemed to proclaim that nothing... absolutely nothing... could survive their advance.

Liyu stared at the incoming storm. Nine raging wind torrents. Nine terrifying barriers that had just shredded all his attacks as though they were nothing. And now... they were coming directly for him, with one purpose, one target, one objective: to end him.

Liyu’s face twitched. Despite everything... he couldn’t stop the bead of cold sweat that slowly trickled down his back. For once, even Liyu had nothing clever to say. He simply stared at the approaching nine gales. Inside the dark space of the fusion state, King Rayden’s expression became solemn. He sighed.

"We are in danger, aren’t we?"
