She was one step short of saying that Jiang Nuan was exactly the kind of person who ’looked down on the domestic moon’!

Such sarcasm, in the past, Jiang Nuan might have endured and let it pass, since she never wanted to make a scene with others in front of Fu Yi, afraid he might think less of her and consider her too strong-headed and willful.

But now, she no longer cared about the image she had in the eyes of this man.

Xu Qingrong vaguely felt something was off with that question but didn’t understand what Jiang Nuan meant, "What do you mean?"

"Mind your own business!" Jiang Nuan stared at her suddenly flushed face without a hint of expression, giving no consideration, "This is the first time I’ve met you, not even knowing you, so why would my decision to stay abroad have anything to do with you? Even if I like being abroad and don’t want to stay here, that has nothing to do with you. You’re jumping in to accuse me out of nowhere, even making up words I didn’t say; I’m wondering if your family lives by the sea, so you habitually want to meddle in everyone’s affairs."

She looked around the entire private room, coolly saying, "I have my reasons for not wanting to stay here, but they aren’t what Dr. Xu guessed; they are personal reasons, which is why I don’t want to stay. I’ve explained all I need to. If someone doesn’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do about it. Excuse me, I’ll head to the restroom."
