My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 858: Grand Celebration

Chapter 858: Grand Celebration

“Hey, you’re back!” Little Zoe squealed with joy as soon as she spotted Yuan and his wives strolling into the palace’s living room.

She immediately jumped off her mother’s lap and ran toward Yuan with her arms wide open. Yuan couldn’t help but open his arms as well to catch the little girl.

“Little Zoe, how have you been?” Yuan asked with a warm smile as he caught her in his arms and hugged her gently.

However, the moment he embraced her, he sensed something unusual. Checking her with his Divine Sense, Yuan’s eyes widened in surprise.

“Y-You’ve reached the second level of Spirit Grandmaster! That’s amazing!” Yuan exclaimed, his expression filled with disbelief and excitement.

“Now you know how amazing I am, Big Brother Yuan!” Little Zoe said proudly, a wide grin spreading across her face as she looked at him.

“Of course, you’re amazing!” Yuan laughed softly before sitting on the sofa next to Miss Zara, who was also smiling warmly at him.

“Congratulations on becoming a Spirit Grandmaster, Miss Zara,” Yuan said with a small smile, genuinely happy for the mother and daughter pair.

“It’s all thanks to the monster cores you gave us, Yuan. We’re truly grateful for the boost you’ve provided,” Miss Zara replied kindly with a gentle smile.

If it weren’t for the monster cores Yuan had given them, they would still be stuck at the Spirit Master realm. But thanks to those cores, both mother and daughter managed to advance their cultivation at an astonishing speed.

Normally, it would have taken them several more weeks to reach the Spirit Grandmaster realm. Cultivation usually demands immense patience and time, and the entire process is painfully slow.

Without the help of a powerful treasure filled with abundant Spiritual Energy, breaking through to a major realm is extremely difficult.

For that very reason, many cultivators choose to enter closed-door cultivation, ensuring that no one disturbs their focus. Even the slightest noise could cause devastating damage to one’s cultivation at a critical moment of breakthrough.

Selvariel, who was sitting nearby, listened to their conversation with curiosity. She still found the “terms” Yuan and his wives used to describe their strength rather strange.

However, despite her confusion, she didn’t dare to ask about it. She believed that, eventually, they would explain everything to her about cultivation.

Miss Zara looked at Anna Grace with a soft smile on her face and asked, “Lady Anna Grace, what happened at the Golden Lion Empire? Did you solve the problem?”

“The problem has been solved. There’s no need for us to worry anymore,” Anna Grace replied softly. “Furthermore, Emperor Raghar is dead now. Mireya killed him, as he was secretly selling elven people as slaves.”

“What??” Miss Zara was shocked to learn this and stared at Mireya in disbelief. She couldn’t believe what she had just heard.

They had only gone for a couple of hours, yet they ended up killing the emperor of the largest empire—and even crippled the princess.

“What about the rest of the Imperial Family? Wouldn’t they become a threat to the kingdom later on?” she asked with a curious look.

“There’s no need to worry. The Imperial Family won’t dare to cross us ever again in this life. After all, all the major forces of the continent are destroyed now, and no one has the confidence to go against us.”

Mireya responded with a proud grin, certain that the Imperial Family wouldn’t dare oppose the Elven Kingdom ever again.

Meanwhile, the news about Emperor Raghar’s demise spread far and wide across the continent. At first, people thought it was fake news, considering the Golden Lion Empire wasn’t at war with any nation.

People were curious to know how the emperor of the strongest nation died so suddenly. It became a sensation among tribes across the continent, as everyone was desperate to know the truth.

Furthermore, the deaths of Kaelrath and the Dragon Blood Tribe’s ancestor were still great mysteries—and now came the death of Emperor Raghar, one of the most prominent figures of the entire continent.

Many people traveled to the Golden Lion Empire, hoping to learn the truth and attend the farewell ceremony of Emperor Raghar.

The Emperor died a tragic death, and many were stunned by it. His death became a mystery—even his own family refused to disclose the truth.

Even the prominent noble families of the Golden Lion Empire chose to keep their mouths shut. They feared that if they revealed the secret behind Emperor Raghar’s death, the Elven Queen would become furious and launch an all-out war against the Golden Lion Empire.

In the Lawless City, Nyx was enjoying a cup of tea in her room while reading a report given to her by her secretary.

But as she read it, she suddenly choked on her tea—her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the bold letters mentioning the death of Emperor Raghar in his own palace.

“T-This is… it can’t be… how is this even possible?!” Nyx exclaimed with a look of disbelief, immediately putting down the teacup on the table.

“The Emperor of the Golden Lion Empire was killed?!” she cried in utter shock, and the report slipped from her grip as she stood frozen, dumbfounded by the news.

Suddenly, a realization hit her like a tsunami. Her expression changed, and she appeared slightly puzzled.

“Didn’t I tell my son-in-law about the culprit behind the bounty on Mireya’s head? And now the father of that very person is dead! Is he the one behind this?!” she muttered to herself, her voice trembling as the weight of the situation dawned on her.

“But shouldn’t he have killed Princess Lindsey instead of Emperor Raghar? After all, Princess Lindsey was the one who posted the bounty on Queen Mireya’s head.” She looked utterly confused, unable to understand why Emperor Raghar was the one who got himself killed.

“It’s Princess Lindsey who should be dead by now, not Emperor Raghar! What the hell is going on?? I’m really confused here…!” She leaned back on the sofa and stared at the ceiling with a dazed look on her face, feeling her head spinning.

Just then, she heard footsteps outside her room before the door suddenly opened, and Emma stepped in with a smile on her face.

Emma immediately noticed the strange look on her mother’s face and sat beside her with a soft smile.

“What’s with that look on your face? Did something happen?” she asked with a puzzled tone before her eyes fell on the report lying on the table.

“What’s this?” she muttered and quickly picked it up to read.

As soon as she began reading, her eyes widened in surprise before she let out a small chuckle. “This is unbelievable… Why did Sister Mireya kill the Emperor instead of that bitch? It’s actually quite funny!”

“I also don’t understand that. Perhaps he tried to protect his daughter and ended up offending your husband and sisters. That’s how he might have met his end,” Nyx replied with a calm look on her face.

As the boss of the Green Viper Organization, she had killed more than a thousand people—so many that she could even eat her meal in front of a corpse.

The news of Emperor Raghar’s death didn’t truly shock her; what shocked her was the fact that she knew the people responsible for it.

Emma pondered for a few moments before speaking, “That’s indeed a possibility, but I don’t think Emperor Raghar would risk his entire nation just to save his daughter’s skin. After all, I don’t think Emperor Raghar is an idiot.”

“Indeed. A man as cunning as him wouldn’t risk his life just to save his daughter… he must have done something that truly angered Queen Mireya.” Nyx nodded in agreement, as she knew Emperor Raghar very well.

Nyx pondered for a moment before saying, “From what I know, Emperor Raghar ran a black market in his capital city—ordinary people didn’t know about it. Perhaps this is related to that.”

“A black market?” Emma raised her brows slightly, curiosity flashing in her eyes.

Nyx nodded and said, “Yes, a black market hidden from ordinary citizens. Only a select few people know about its existence and location.”

“You could get almost anything you want in that market, including slaves, which is illegal throughout the continent. Perhaps your sister Mireya found something interesting there.” Nyx finished her explanation with a soft smile on her face.

“I see… it makes sense now why the Emperor was killed while his daughter lived.” Emma nodded with a faint smile before pouring herself a cup of tea.

Once both of them finished their cups, Emma looked at her mother with a smile and asked, “Mom, what do you think about my suggestion? Are you going to come with me?”

“I-I don’t know what to say about that… I need some time to think. After all, it’s a huge decision for me, and it will affect the entire Lawless City.” Nyx replied with a strange smile before walking toward her bed.

“Come, let’s sleep for now. We’ll talk more about it tomorrow.” She said as she removed her clothes before lying down on the bed.

Emma nodded and did the same, and Nyx immediately hugged her from behind before both of them fell asleep.

In the Ogre Tribe, Malgar was hosting a grand celebration to honor their victory against the Dragon Blood Tribe. Every ogre was drinking, eating, and dancing to the rhythm of their tribal music.

All the ogres joyfully celebrated their historic triumph over the Dragon Blood Tribe. For far too long, they had endured endless criticism and humiliation from them.

And now, that humiliation had finally ended with the destruction of the Dragon Blood Tribe. The endless war had concluded with this glorious victory.

The leader of the tribe, Malgar, sat upon a higher platform than the rest of the ogres, silently watching the celebration with a huge glass of wine in his hand.

Suddenly, an ogre approached him and whispered something into his ear, instantly shocking Malgar as his eyes widened.

“What?! Is the information accurate?” Malgar asked with a serious expression, finding it hard to believe such news.

“Indeed, My Lord. The information is one hundred percent accurate—it came straight from the capital city of the Golden Lion Empire,” the ogre replied with a firm look.

“Is that so… it’s a pity that greedy bastard is dead. Now I can’t kill him myself… sigh.” Malgar sighed deeply before downing the entire glass of wine in a single gulp.

In the Elven Palace, Yuan and his wives had just returned from the hot spring after relaxing there for a while.

Just as Yuan was about to enter his room, Valeria and Vrasha suddenly grabbed his arms, pulling him into a different room and locking the door before he could even shout for help.

Once inside, Vrasha and Valeria pushed Yuan onto the bed and removed the towels covering their bodies, wearing seductive grins on their faces.

“Hubby, you can’t leave this room until you satisfy us completely… hehe~” Vrasha giggled softly as she climbed onto the bed seductively.
