Chapter 793: Angel’s Cultivation

Chapter 793: Angel’s Cultivation

“Did you miss me, Meili?” Yuan asked with a warm smile as he hugged her tightly.

“I missed you a lot, Hubby!” she exclaimed and then locked lips with him, kissing him passionately for several seconds.

Still clinging to him, Yuan walked over to the sofa and sat down, placing Xi Meili on his lap like she was his spoiled little princess.

Xi Meili grinned mischievously, locking eyes with Fang Xiaoyan, clearly trying to provoke her. But Fang Xiaoyan simply turned her head away, refusing to give Meili the reaction she was hoping for.

“How childish…” Fang Xiaoyan mumbled under her breath, too proud to show even a hint of jealousy.

Anna, Grace, and the others couldn’t help but chuckle softly. It was always entertaining to see Xi Meili’s antics and her ongoing one-sided competition with Fang Xiaoyan.

Yuan then pulled out the spatial ring and turned to Aisha, who was already staring at the shiny artifact in his hand with stars in her eyes.

“Is that mysterious artifact for me?” Aisha asked excitedly, eyes sparkling with curiosity and anticipation.

Yuan nodded with a smile and said, “This is a Spatial Ring. It holds a massive space inside—cultivators like us use it to store things.”

“You can put in almost anything except living creatures. And whatever you store inside remains completely fresh. If you place a hot cup of tea in it, it’ll stay hot forever… unless you take it out and let it cool.”

“That’s why the exotic meat we keep with us never spoils. It’s a must-have for any serious cultivator,” he explained, then handed it to her.

Aisha immediately wore the ring on her ring finger, just like the rest of his wives had done before her. At this point, Yuan was honestly confused why they all insisted on wearing it like it was some kind of engagement or wedding ring. After all, it was just a storage artifact… wasn’t it?

Meanwhile, in her room, Angela sat cross-legged as she studied the cultivation technique Yuan had given her. Her entire body was still, and her breathing calm, her understanding of the technique deepening by the second.

She slowly opened her eyes, a look of awe on her face as she stared at the manual in her hands.

“Heaven’s Indomitable Body Art… What a powerful and profound name,” she whispered, clearly impressed. She could sense the terrifying depth behind it.

“Now that I’ve learned it, I should focus on becoming a cultivator first,” she muttered, placing the manual beside her. She then closed her eyes, taking a long breath as she began her first step into the world of cultivation.

As she chanted the technique silently in her mind, she could feel a strange, warm energy flowing into her body—not just through her breath but through every single pore in her skin.

Her breathing became rhythmic, deeper and stronger with each inhale. It felt like her body was learning how to truly breathe for the first time. With each breath, more spiritual energy poured into her, flooding her dantian.

Moments later, her dantian was completely filled. And as she continued absorbing even more spiritual energy, a sudden pressure built up inside her—and then…

A breakthrough.

She could feel a cool sensation spreading through her entire body, and every cell was refined by her Qi as she stepped into the First Level Spirit Apprentice. Furthermore, her dantian had expanded and doubled in size. There was no denying it—she had become a cultivator now. She had broken the shackles of mortality and taken the first step toward immortality.

However, just because she had become a cultivator didn’t mean Angela stopped cultivating. She continued breathing in a rhythmic manner, absorbing more spiritual energy into her body.

And just a couple of moments later, she made another breakthrough, reaching the Second Level Spirit Apprentice—just an hour after she started cultivating.

Her cultivation speed was anything but ordinary. With each breath she took, she absorbed a massive amount of spiritual energy into her body, raising her cultivation at a terrifying rate.

In the next couple of hours, Angela made several breakthroughs one after another, managing to reach the Sixth Level Spirit Apprentice on the very same day she began cultivating.

’My body… it feels much stronger and also very energetic. I feel like I could punch a boulder and crush it with ease,’ Angela thought as she opened her eyes, marveling at her own transformation.

She stood up and noticed how light she felt, as if she could leap to the top of a tree with ease. This feeling was completely new to her. She had never felt so incredible in her life.

“Cultivation is truly amazing… It offers so many benefits, I doubt anyone would ever complain about becoming a cultivator.”

She stored the cultivation technique in a secure location so no one else could find it but her. She had no intention of losing something so valuable.

After that, she walked out of her room and headed toward the palace’s living area, knowing everyone must be there—she could already hear the voices of Yuan and his wives.

After becoming a cultivator, her senses had sharpened dramatically. She could now detect even the smallest noise, like the flapping of a fly’s wings—or the subtle sound of the air being pushed by them.

“Incredible… I can even hear the sound of wind being displaced by a fly…” Angela was momentarily stunned by the phenomenon, almost as if she had witnessed a ghost.

However, she shook her head and continued forward.

A few seconds later, she arrived at the living area and saw that everyone was there, enjoying tea and some snacks together.

“Incredible! Mother! You managed to reach the Sixth Level Spirit Apprentice in a single day! You’re amazing!” Anna clapped her hands with a look of surprise, clearly amazed by her mother’s cultivation speed.

Angela smiled proudly and said, “Well, it’s all thanks to my dear for providing me with such a powerful cultivation technique.”

“Well, even with a powerful cultivation technique, there are limits to how fast one can cultivate. It still heavily depends on the person’s talent. If someone lacks talent, their cultivation speed will be limited even with the best techniques,” Anna explained with a soft smile on her face.

“You should be proud of your achievement, Grandma. You must accept the fact that you are extremely talented,” Yuan said with a soft smile, gazing at her warmly.

Meanwhile, in front of the Dragon Palace of the Drake Clan, a mournful silence filled the air. More than twenty dead bodies were lined up across the ground—an unimaginable loss for the clan.

Shock and disbelief rippled through the members of the clan. The fallen were some of the most powerful individuals of the Drake Clan, and yet they had perished at the hands of the Blank Clan—a faction widely considered far weaker.

“Matriarch Scyla, this is the note we found above the bodies. It’s from the Blank Clan,” said the guard leader who had discovered the scene, holding out a folded parchment with trembling hands.

The elder standing beside him took the note and passed it to Matriarch Scyla, who snatched it with an icy, lifeless look on her face. Her fingers trembled slightly as she unfolded it.

As her eyes scanned the contents, they widened. A deep, burning rage filled them—bloodshot and blazing. Her hands shook violently, the parchment crackling in her grip.

Suddenly, an overwhelming pressure descended upon the entire estate of the Drake Clan. It was suffocating. Elders and guards alike stiffened under the suffocating force of Scyla’s rising power.

“What’s written in the letter, Matriarch Scyla?” one of the elders asked, his voice strained with nervousness, clearly terrified by the magic surging from her.

Scyla stood silent for a few seconds. But that silence… it spoke louder than any words.

Everyone immediately understood the truth—that the responsibility for the massacre lay with the Blank Clan.

However, what shook her the most was a single, shocking line written at the end of the note:

Nicolas Blank has been killed—within his own clan.

“The letter says… if we dare to retaliate or seek revenge, the Drake Clan will be destroyed… completely,” Scyla finally spoke, her voice low and trembling. Her teeth were clenched, her pain and fury laid bare for all to see.

“What?!” The elders were stunned. Their faces twisted in rage and disbelief.

“How could the Blank Clan believe we would sit quietly after losing the Clan Head, his son, and our greatest elders?! This is madness!” one elder roared, veins bulging on his forehead.

“This is unacceptable!” shouted another, slamming his fist into the ground. “They’ve not only slaughtered our finest but turned us into a laughingstock among the other clans! Do they truly believe we won’t retaliate?! That is pure delusion!”

Matriarch Scyla took a deep breath, trying to calm her unstable emotions, and said, “There’s more to it. The Clan Head of the Blank Clan is also dead. He died alongside my husband and son!”

“This is…” The elders fell silent upon hearing this, unable to respond, seemingly in disbelief.

Matriarch Scyla ignored the dumbfounded looks on the elders’ faces and turned to the guards and clan members.

“Prepare for the funeral—for now. We can’t show any weakness to our enemies, or they’ll strike the moment we do,” Scyla said coldly, her face unreadable.

“As you command, Matriarch Scyla.”

The clan members immediately nodded and began preparing for the funeral—a final farewell for the Clan Head and those who died with him.

’We have so many enemies. The moment news of my husband’s death and the fall of so many elders spreads to the other clans, they’ll surely attack us,’ Scyla thought, gritting her teeth. She clenched her fists so tightly that her palms began to bleed from the pressure.

“Whoever you are, the one responsible for my husband’s and only child’s deaths… I will kill you with my own hands after I peel your skin from your bones!” Scyla swore, her voice trembling as her eyes grew moist again.
