My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 432 A Small Party

Chapter 432 A Small Party

?”Isn’t this the miasma that is said to act as the border between the Core Area of the forest and the Middle Area?!”

“Blood red mist…there is no mistake, this is indeed the miasma which acts as a border between the Core Area of the forest and the Middle Area of the forest.”

“Let’s have a closer look at the so-called miasma, this is the first time I’ve seen it, and probably for the last time.” One of the Hunters is curious about what a miasma is and decides to go close to it.

“Don’t be silly, young fellow; the miasma is exceedingly harmful, and coming into contact with it causes your will to melt in a few seconds.” Said a middle-aged Hunter, stopping the young man from doing something that would endanger his life.

When the young man approaching the miasma heard this, he leaped backward and his face grew pale.

“If the miasma is so hazardous, how can we cross it? After all, we need to enter the forest’s Core Area to accomplish the job.”

“Yeah, how do we get to the other side?”

“We can’t get to the other side if we don’t solve this problem; I don’t want to be a pile of gunk merely for the sake of the mission.”

“Don’t worry about it; as long as you can keep your mana skin, you’ll be five in the miasma. In addition, His Majesty has packed a lot of mana recovery potions with him.”

“I see…even if we run out of mana inside the miasma, we can quickly regain it in just a few seconds.”

People murmured as they stood in front of the miasma that covered the forest; everyone was inquisitive about the miasma that served as the border between the forest’s Core Area and the Middle Area, where they were now standing.

“The miasma is unusually thick, unlike anything I’ve ever seen before…It does not match the description given in the royal library’s archives at all.” King Richard mumbled, observing the disparity between what was mentioned in the record and what had been passed down through generations.

“This isn’t what we expected. “I hope nothing happens when we cross this miasma.” Archmage Isadora nodded, startled and concerned; she, too, discovered that the situation was far from what they had anticipated.

After a brief pause, Crown Prince Daniel went forward and inquired, “Archmage Eldrick, what do you recommend? What shall we do now? We have no idea what is going on with the miasma or how it has grown so much. And if we approach the miasma without a good plan, we have no idea what will happen.”

A moment later, Archmage Eldrick said, “To be honest, I agree with you Crown Prince Daniel, I share the same thought as you.”

“It would be completely stupid, in my opinion, to approach the miasma without any appropriate defenses against it, as we have no idea what caused it to expand so much.”

“Wouldn’t you agree with me, Your Highness The Holy Son?” he then questioned, turning to face The Holy Son, Aurther.

“Naturally, Archmage Eldrick,” Aurther smiled and nodded, “We don’t want our people to lose your life for nothing.”

He then remarked, “I wholeheartedly back your decision.”

Archmage Isadora groaned as she studied the miasma with her magic sense and said, “I recommend that we should spend the night here and devise a suitable strategy to pass through the miasma securely. We can’t act without a plan.”

“Then, let us establish our camps here and call a conference once we have gathered all of the A-rank hunters, Master rank Warriors, and Master rank Mages.” In addition to acknowledging their choice, King Richard stated that he did not want to act rashly and endanger the lives of thousands of people.

Archmage Isadora grinned and nodded, saying, “That would be very prudent. With everyone present, we can come up with a better strategy to pass through the miasma with fewer casualties.”

She then calmly dismounted her horse and walked carefully up to the miasma to take a closer look.

Subsequently, King Richard dispatched his obedient subjects to reconnoiter the region and install the monster-repelling apparatus in order to prevent the monsters from approaching their camps.

In addition, he sent orders for a few more subordinates to assist Archmage Isadora in her studies of the miasma in order to gain a deeper comprehension of the miasma.

They cannot enter the miasma without understanding how deadly it is, as doing so could result in their demise! But if the miasma is weak, it will merely cause individuals to experience temporary insanity or hallucinations.

“We understand, Your Majesty. You may be confident that we won’t let you down.”

After saying these things, the King’s attendants departed the area. While the other half assisted Archmage Isadora in her studies on the miasma, the other half went to scout the area and protect it using monster-repelling devices.

After his minions had departed, King Richard turned to face everyone, took a deep breath, and then explained the alterations to their original plan.

The fact that the miasma had expanded so much and was now extremely harmful astonished everyone, but more importantly, they were unaware of the extent of the miasma’s reach.

“Don’t worry everyone, after renowned magic researcher Archmage Isadora completes her research on the miasma, everything will proceed well.” With a tone that was both confident and a little humorous, King Rochard spoke.

“After her research is completed, we will know the power of the miasma and how to stop it from entering our bodies. With that knowledge, we won’t be in danger and there won’t be any casualties when the miasma enters our bodies.”

Upon hearing this, everyone became more composed and started to see the miasma more lightly. King Richard sighed with relief.

“I don’t want people to die needlessly, so I hope Archmage Isadora’s research is effective.” King Richard muttered to himself as he turned to face Archamage Isadora, who got to work right away.

Since Yuan already knew how much of the area the miasma covered and how long it would take them to educate the other side of the miasma, he and his wife ignored King Richard’s proclamation and busied themselves to set up their tent.

Through the use of his divine sense, Yuan discovered that the miasma covered an area of around ten kilometers, forming a substantial natural barrier that surrounded the forest’s Core Area.

Before long, all the others started erecting their tents as well. To their astonishment, Yuan had completed his tent setup and his wife was brewing some light snacks to cap off the afternoon.

“I’m envious of him so much; his lovely women are cooking him great meals, and he has already set up his tents.”

“Brother, I feel the same way, but we’re not good enough to deserve such a life.”

The males start chatting among themselves since they are so envious of Yuan, and soon they get back to work.

The Blood Fang Boar flesh was being roasted by Yuan’s wives in the meantime. The meat had been spiced, and the slow-

cooking fire cooked it gently as the meat’s exquisite perfume wafted through the air.

Everyone couldn’t help but wonder who was roasting anything so good, but they avoided gazing in their direction as soon as they realized Yuan and his wives were the ones cooking at the moment.

By now, everyone knows about Yuan’s past misdeeds, and from what they gather, he is a highly possessive man who dislikes other men staring at his women.

They felt that glancing at them would only make everything worse for them, knowing that even the great noble family of the kingdom suffered brutally at his hands only because the count’s son attempted to wrest his wives from him.

After a few minutes, the perfectly cooked boar meat released an irresistibly sweet aroma that caused Xi Meili to start drooling.

Anna laughed as she saw how drool-covered Xi Meili’s face was. “Our little Xi Meili appears to be eager to fill her adorable little mouth with succulent boar flesh.” She smiled teasingly as she spoke.

“He-he! I’m eager to try them because the meat looks so good!” Xi Meili beams with eagerness as she exclaims, her eyes fixed on a generous portion of roasted boar meat.

“Well, sweetheart, make sure to eat as much as you want.” Anna grinned.

Xi Meili nodded her head several times.

“Whoa! What’s happening here appears to be a tiny celebration.”

They turned around in response to the sound of a well-known male voice behind them and spotted Crown Prince Daniel standing there grinning broadly.

“What are you doing here, kid? Wouldn’t you be better off with King Richard and company?” Suddenly, General Valeia questioned in a detached, emotionless voice.

But Daniel just shrugged, ignoring her, and turned to face Yuan. “It really saddened me that you’re throwing a party without even inviting me. We are now a family, after all.”

Yuan laughed and said, “Well, I didn’t invite you to believe you would be busy with King Richard and the others, it’s as easy as that.”

Yuan thought Prince Daniel had a funny personality.

“Since you’re already here, why don’t you join us and enjoy the food sister Anna has prepared for us?” General Valeria remarked, sighing as she glanced at her nephew.

“Heh heh! I would be happy to do it!” Daniel nodded rapidly and took a seat next to General Valeria, his aunt.
