Chapter 412 First Gift
Chapter 412 First Gift
?Anna instantly spoke up, pointing her finger towards the battle. “Look, the Orc Lord is practically dead, and it won’t be long before they kill him!”
Mireya and Sylvia returned their attention to the battle against the Orc Lord.
“Everybody, run away from that thing!”
“Do not curse me later if any of you are harmed by my strike…” General Valeria clutched her sword fiercely with both hands, and it blazed in blinding golden light.
As soon as her weapon shone, the sound of a gigantic lion roaring resounded, sending powerful vibrations through the air and causing the air to quake from the sheer force generated by the sword.
And without wasting a single second or giving the Orc Lord a chance to regain his strength, she charged towards the creature at breakneck speed, appearing before him in the blink of an eye.
“Die, you ugly ass bastard!” General Valeria threw her sword at the monster with all of her strength, hoping to cut it in half and kill it instantly.
Hearing this, the Orc Lord raised his head, attempting to avoid General Valeria’s strike. However, it was too late to avoid the strike because General Valeria’s sword was only an inch away from reaching his head and slashing him in half.
At this point, the Orc Lord had a terrified expression on his face and opened his mouth to scream for aid, but General Valeria’s sword slashed clean through his skull and all the way to his lower body.
Bang! However, the strike did not end there; it proceeded forward, cutting everything in its path and causing a big fissure in the ground.
Splash! When General Valeria’s sword split the Orc Lord in half, blood and organs flew everywhere, spreading a foul odor over the area.
“Woohoo! We have won the fight!”
“Amazing! War General Valeria is extremely powerful; she defeated the S-rank Orc Lord with a final blow!”
“I feel honored to see War General Verleria’s grandeur.”
“We have won! The Orc Lord is defeated!”
“Thanks to General Valeria, we have very few casualties.”
People’s murmurs spread quickly among the Hunters, Warriors, and Mages, and everyone began to rejoice in General Valeria’s triumph over the Orc Lord.
Everyone was ecstatic, not just because General Valeria had won the fight, but also because they had all worked together to vanquish the monster and were quite proud of it.
“Congratulations on conquering the Orc Lord, General Valeria!” King Richard greeted her and congratulated her on the triumph.
“Thanks, but I can’t take all the glory because I couldn’t have defeated it without the bravery of everyone who fought the Orc Lord.” General Valeria smiled back, then looked at the damaged sword in her hand, which had numerous cracks and could no longer be used.
“General Valeria, I apologize for your weapon, but it cannot be fixed…” King Richard sighed as he glanced at General Valeria’s damaged sword. “At least not in here…”
With a smirk on her face, General Valeria turned to face King Richard and added, “Don’t worry about my sword. I have a couple more swords like this in my magic pouch; I had anticipated something like this before visiting your realm.”
“I see… It’s great that you’ve brought so many copies with you, otherwise it would’ve been incredibly difficult for us…” King Richard smiled as he gazed towards the Orc Lord’s corpse and sent his men to fetch the useful resources.
“Amazing! As expected of General Valeria, she successfully vanquished the S-rank Orc Lord.” Sylvia exclaims, startled at General Valeria’s strength.
“She truly did it,” Mireya said in a confused voice, barely above a whisper as she watched the workers remove important components from the Orc Lord’s body.
Yuan smiled at Mireya and Sylvia, saying, “Didn’t I tell you that they’d be well without me? See how they defeated this terrible creature on their own.”
“Well, you did,” Sylvia said with an uneasy expression on her face.
General Valeria appeared before them and stared at Yuan with an expectant expression on her face as if she was waiting for him to say something to her or expecting something from him.
“You fought admirably, Valeria. You did an excellent job; I couldn’t have asked for more.” Yuan said to her with a smile, taking her into his embrace, making General Valeria very happy.
“Thanks, my dear; it was a terrible battle, but with everyone’s support, I was able to defeat that monster in the end.” General Valeria answered fast, her eyes gleaming with joy, and she felt like taking off her helmet and passionately kissing him.
However, she maintained her composure and remained calm as if she were in his hug, with the desire to kiss him.
‘Even after having multiple replicas of her sword, she expresses sadness over losing her favorite…Just how much she loves her sword?’ Yuan thought as he softly gripped her waist.
[Host, How about giving her a better sword? Although she wouldn’t be able to use a Spirit Weapon’s abilities, it’s still much sharper and more durable than the swords she carrying with her.]
Yuan was taken aback when he heard Nora’s voice in his head propose that he give Valeria a lower-ranking sword from his collection.
“Are you certain about this? Wouldn’t she be burdened by a Spirit Weapon?” Yuan inquired, confused as to why Nora suggested this; after all, a Spirit Weapon is much more powerful than a magic sword.
[Don’t worry, Host; it won’t hurt her because her physique is quite powerful compared to the other mortals, and she can handle even an Earth-grade weapon if she tries her hardest.] Nora responded.
“I see…In that case, I’ll give her a Spirit Weapon,” Yuan decided to give Valeria a Spirit Sword from his collection. “I can only imagine how excited she will be to receive her first present from me.”
He then let go of Valeria’s waist and said, “Valeria, since your sword is shattered, may I give you one? Since I haven’t given you any gifts yet, despite accepting you as my wife, and knowing how much you love your sword, I’ve chosen to give you one.”
“Really?!” General Valeria’s eyes shone with enthusiasm as she heard this; she couldn’t contain herself.
Yuan smiled at her and raised his palm in the air, and a sword appeared in his hand—the same sword he used to defeat General Valeria in a duel.
General Valeria was astonished to see the same sword in Yuan’s hand; she had not expected Yuan to intend to give her his sword.
She couldn’t help but become overcome with emotion, and her feelings for him grew tremendously.
‘Is this how it feels to fall in love with someone? This is entirely new to me.’ General Valeria experienced a variety of new feelings that she had never felt before.
After she calmed down, her gaze fell on Yuan’s gorgeous fiery red sword, which was generating a very powerful otherworldly aura, and she could feel her heart racing faster than usual in excitement.
Then she shifted her lovely glance to Yuan and inquired, “Are you going to give me this sword? But isn’t it yours? What are you going to use if you give this to me?”
“Yes, this blade is for you, Valeria.” Yuan smiled as he saw her and said, “And this is not my sword, so don’t be concerned; I used it for the first time in a duel with you.”
“Now accept it; this is my first present to you.” Yuan then presented the blade to Valeria, who extended her hands to accept it.
“So gorgeous, just like my hair…Ahh!” A small smile came on her lips as she inspected the sword up close, and as she accepted it from Yuan, she nearly dropped it because she hadn’t expected it to be this hefty.
‘This is so heavy! How could this sword be this heavy although it’s virtually the same size as my own sword? Well, my sword is now useless.’ She pondered, obviously taken aback by the weight of the sword.
“This sword was made from a very exceptional one, which is why it is so heavy,” Yuan explained, noting her shocked expression. “Despite its weight, this sword is powerful and sharp enough to cut through metal with ease…I’m confident you’ll enjoy this gift of mine.”
She was so excited to try out the sword her husband had gotten her on a few fearsome beasts after hearing how awesome it was.
Yuan then handed her the sword’s scabbard, and she looked at him with love. “Thank you for your wonderful present, my dear. I’ll cherish this for my entire life…”
“I am certain you will…” Yuan smiled.
At the same time, King Richard and the other representatives from the other nations looked at the sword in Valeria’s hand, startled by its bright red color and unique design.
They are certain that this blade was not created using standard conventional processes, as they have never seen a sword with such a design before—except for the Holy Light blade.
‘Where did Yuan get such a wonderful weapon? I’ve never had a sword this beautiful—it’s a work of art. A typical blacksmith would not be capable of creating such stunning work…’ King Richard pondered, his attention locked on the sword, and felt compelled to grab it.
However, he quickly dismisses such notions because it is impossible to obtain that weapon; no matter how many gold pieces he offers General Valeria, she will not part with that sword.
“Aunt must be overjoyed with Yuan’s gift, and the sword appears to be both valuable and powerful.” Crown Prince Daniel pondered.
They resumed their march toward the heart of the forest, and as they got deeper into the forest, the fog became even worse, making it difficult to see what was in front of them.
