Chapter 382 Hunter Association’s Warehouse
Chapter 382 Hunter Association’s Warehouse
They awoke earlier the next morning and, after breakfast, returned to the capital.
They removed any sign that they had tented in that place, as many bandit groups used such tracks to track their prey.
While his women drive in their carriage, Yuan rides his flying sword and carries the Flame Tiger they have captured.
They then arrived fairly close to the capital city, which was readily visible from their current location.
Yuan slowly plummeted from the sky and landed on the ground, when Lily noticed this, she immediately stopped the carriage, and everyone stepped out and gazed at Yuan.
“Yuan, why did you stop here? The city is right ahead!” Lily inquired, bewildered, as to why Yuan had abruptly landed away from the city when he was meant to land at the city gate.
Anna Grace, who knew why her son had landed here away from people, glanced at her daughter and sighed.
“Lily, he’s doing this to avoid unwanted attention from others. We are already well-known across the kingdom, and if people saw him flying while carrying such a gigantic beast, there would undoubtedly be a ruckus.” Anna Grace said with a serious expression on her face, understanding full well the implications of displaying their full powers in public.
Everyone suddenly had a concerned expression on their faces, as they had already seen a bunch of criminals who appeared to want their power, and they had no idea how many people were speculating about their abilities.
Yuan landed on the ground and stored his weapon inside his system storage with his thoughts before turning to face his women.
“You guys get inside the carriage and let’s head towards the city gate, but drive it slowly, I’ll walk from here.”
“We understand,” His wives nodded and entered the carriage.
Lily then began driving the carriage slowly, following the pace of her younger brother, who was walking while carrying a big weight on his shoulder.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the city gate, where numerous traveling merchants were waiting in queue to enter the city.
“Hey, look! Someone is hauling a monster, and he is heading this way!”
Someone shouted, and his surprised voice echoed throughout the area, making everyone turn their heads.
“Isn’t that monster too big for him to carry it all the way to this city?!”
“Unbelievable! How could someone carry anything that big?
“That’s a monster he is carrying… it’s quite massive!”
“That unique-looking fur… Isn’t that the Flame Tiger?” One of the merchants quickly recognized the Flame Tiger’s unique traits.
“What?!” When they hear this, everyone stops talking, as if surprised.
“The Flame Tiger?!”
“But that’s impossible!”
“How is this possible?! There is no chance it’s a Flame Tiger; after all, Flame Tigers are extremely uncommon and powerful.”
Yuan ignored the people’s whispers and approached the city gate, where guards promptly arrived and prevented him from entering while inspecting the tiger.
“I-Impossible! This thing is alive!” One of the guards shouted in terror as the tiger glared at him.
Everyone was astonished to hear this. They looked at the tiger with incredulity in their eyes.
“Is that tiger still alive?”
“Is this real?!”
“Just how strong is he to tie a living tiger and bring him here?!”
Everyone glanced at Yuan with disbelief on their faces. How could anyone fight something so powerful and then transport it back to the city on their own?
A few minutes later, the guard unlocked the gate after Lily presented them with a copy of the task they had accepted.
When they entered the city, they went straight to the Hunter Association, which is only a few minutes away from the city gate.
When they went through the streets of the capital city, people stared in awe as he carried the Flame Tiger like it was nothing, and ladies drooled at his immaculate attractive face.
Not only was he incredibly handsome, but he was also very powerful and could handle such a massive monster with a single hand as though he were carrying a small kitten.
Every male on the street gazed at Yuan with rage and hatred, while their wives and girlfriends drooled over him like he was a wonderful piece of cake.
A few minutes later, they were in front of the Hunter Association building. Lily swiftly parked their carriage and followed Yuan inside, not wasting any time.
They only wanted to accomplish the assignment, take the reward, return to the Inn, and spend some quality time with Yuan.
Even Leah is looking forward to spending quality time with Yuan, as they have only shared a passionate kiss once and she has been missing out on a lot of things.
As they entered the building, everyone in the Association was staring at them, their gaze drawn to the gigantic Flame Tiger Yuan held in one hand.
The entire audience falls silent for a time, as everyone forgets to breathe in disbelief, let alone open their mouths.
Yuan let the tiger down on the floor and approached the receptionist, who was staring at the Flame Tiger in a stupor, clearly in shock.
“We’re here to submit our mission report and collect the reward.” Yuan placed a copy of the mission on the desk and raised his eyebrows at the receptionist.
“Huh? Ah, the mission. Yes…” The receptionist awakens when she hears the ‘thud’ sound of Yuan softly slamming the desk, jolting her out of her stupor.
After a few minutes, the receptionist removed two pouches containing gold coins from the drawer and deposited them on the table.
“This is the five hundred gold coins for completing the mission,” The receptionist handed Yuan the huge pouch, after which she examined the second pouch, which was slightly smaller.
“And this is the extra 200 gold coins for bringing the Flame Tiger here alive.” She remarked, smiling, as she handed Yuan the pouch.
Yuan took the two pouches and presented them to his mother, saying, “Mom, keep these with you.”
“Are you certain, darling?” She asked. “After all, I have the majority of the awards for finishing the missions, which is a significant chunk of money.”
“Just keep them for me, will you?”
“Sure, if that’s what my husband wants, I’ll do it.” Anna Grace smiled fondly at him before placing the two bags within her spatial ring.
Then Yuan turned to the receptionist and inquired, “Do you have a place to keep this little kitty? Because I’m going to take the rope that ties the tiger with me.”
‘Taking the rope with him? Isn’t he stingy, despite his attractive appearance? The receptionist thought it was nearly unbelievable.
“It turns out you’re pretty stingy despite having such an attractive face; why don’t you just leave the rope? After all, it’s only a rope.” The receptionist started with an awkward expression on her face, wondering why such a lovely group of women chose to follow Yuan despite his stinginess.
Yuan chuckled as he looked at the receptionist. “Well, if it was just a normal rope, I wouldn’t mind leaving it here. But you mortals have no idea what kind of rope is binding that tiger…”
“Now don’t waste my time and bring something to keep the tiger confined,” Yuan remarked calmly.
He didn’t mind what the receptionist called him because she was a mere mortal with no knowledge of the rope he used to tether the tiger, therefore he wasn’t upset with her for calling him ‘stingy’.
However, the same cannot be said about his sister Lily and his lovely wife Xi Meili, who are both staring at the receptionist with scornful expressions, as if they want to skin the receptionist alive for labeling Yuan stingy.
“What the hell with calling us mere mortals, and what’s special about this rope?” The receptionist pondered, slightly offended since Yuan referred to her as a mere mortal even though she was clearly a sixth-circled mage on her way to becoming a master mage.
She shook her head, glanced at Yuan with a somewhat angry expression, and said, “Please follow me; I’ll show you where you can free the tiger from its binding.”
“Very good. Please lead the way, miss.” Yuan nodded and followed the receptionist.
His wives followed the receptionist.
A few minutes later, they arrived at a warehouse where numerous monsters were caged; some of them were powerful, but not as powerful as B or A-rank monsters, because catching such a powerful monster alive is hard for many hunters, including S-rank hunters.
“The monsters within these confinements are mostly asked by the noble families, as they have a passion for raising magical monsters as their pets, the stronger the pets the stronger the influence.” The receptionist explained.
“Here, you can free the tiger from its binding inside this cage.” The receptionist then pointed to a big, empty cage. “This cage is made from a very special kind of metal and enchanted by one of the best enchanters of the kingdom.”
“This thing can easily hold even an S-rank monster inside it, and the monster won’t be able to make a dent in the cage.” She spoke proudly. .𝒎
Yuan swiftly placed the tiger into the cage and closed the entrance, while the receptionist used magic to lock the door.
Then Yuan removed the binding on the tiger with just a thought, and the rope instantly let go of the tiger and returned to Yuan’s hand.
The Flame Tiger could finally breathe freely; he glanced at Yuan with horror, as if he were looking at an apex predator; simply by his aura, the tiger felt like a mere bug that Yuan could trample on whenever he chose.
When the receptionist saw the rope return to Yuan’s hand on its own, she was taken aback and nearly couldn’t believe it.
‘What just happened?!’ The receptionist cried inwardly, visibly shocked.
Yuan, on the other hand, ignored her expression and went out of the warehouse with his wife and lover. When they got out, they quickly returned to their carriage and drove to Miss Zara’s inn.
