Chapter 233 One sided slaughter
Chapter 233 One sided slaughter
“Haha, it seems that I’ve made you vermin angry by killing your comrades…!” Yuan taunted, looking at the remaining goblins with a mocking grin, their eyes burning with deep hatred.
“I don’t know why, but I’m getting really excited seeing you pathetic vermin screaming at me with such deep hatred. It makes me want to paint the ground red with your blood!” Yuan muttered, tightening his grip on the sword handle, pointing the weapon towards the approaching goblins, ready to strike once again.
“Grrrrrr!!! Human!! Kill!!!” The three Goblin Lords bellowed, commanding the smaller goblins to attack. These Goblin Lords were formidable, with bulky, muscular bodies and hefty weapons in their hands.
“Grrrrrr!! Grrrrr!!!” The smaller goblins shrieked in a frenzy, clutching their old, rusty weapons and charging towards Yuan with grotesque grins on their faces.
“That’s it, come at me, you pathetic little vermin. I’ll slaughter you all one by one, hahah!” Yuan laughed, rushing towards the oncoming horde of goblins, his grin wide and wicked.
Grrrrr! Roarrrr!
Slash! Thud!
Yuan swung his massive sword, beheading the first goblin before it could react. The goblin fell, headless, unaware of how it met its end.
Witnessing this, the other goblins stared at Yuan in disbelief. But their disbelief quickly turned to terror—fear of imminent death.
“Oh? Are you feeling scared now? The moment you met me, your fate was sealed. You’re all going to die.”
Grrrrrr!!! The goblins gnashed their teeth in frustration, gazing at Yuan with eyes wide in dread, as if they were staring at their own demise.
Seeing their fear, Yuan’s grin widened. He lunged at the goblins, swinging his massive sword expertly, beheading multiple goblins with each strike. It was a gruesome massacre, Yuan cleaving through the smaller creatures as they kept charging at him.
Thud! Thud! As Yuan swung his massive sword, the lifeless bodies of the goblins fell to the ground, their blood splattering everywhere, painting the ground in a grotesque red hue.
Slash! Thud!
“I didn’t know that killing monsters could be this enjoyable… It’s so exhilarating, I feel like I could keep swinging my sword and dispatching them one by one,” Yuan mused to himself. With a flick of his wrist, he cleaned the repugnant blood from his sword, then turned his attention to the hobgoblins and goblin lords, a mocking grin dancing on his face.
The higher-ranked goblins seethed with anger at Yuan’s audacity. He had cut down all their underlings, and they now glared at him with murderous intent.
“Roarrrrr!!! Roarrrrr!!!” They bellowed in fury, their bloodshot eyes locked on him.
“Look at them, so furious… as if they could tear me apart. Even though they’re hobgoblins and goblin lords, they’re not much stronger than those lowly ones I just dispatched,” Yuan muttered with a cold smile.
Roaaaarrrrrrrr! Roaaaarrrrrr!
The goblin lords let out an earth-shattering roar, brandishing their hefty weapons, giving orders to bring down Yuan immediately by any means necessary. After all, he had slaughtered every last goblin minion.
The other goblins rushed at Yuan with astonishing speed, attacking him with their rusty weapons. Yuan effortlessly deflected their blows with a swing of his massive sword.
Gaarrrrrr!
The goblin lords roared, watching Yuan easily brush off their attacks. While other hunters might consider them dangerous and formidable, to Yuan, they were nothing more than fodder waiting to be slaughtered.
Yuan swiftly lunged at the hobgoblins and goblin lords. Before they could react, he was already upon them, a wide grin on his face. His sword cut through four of them in a single stroke.
Slash! Slash!
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
The remaining goblins barely had time to react. They could only watch in shock and disbelief as their companions were cleaved in half by Yuan’s massive sword.
At that moment, the goblins saw their impending demise.
Garrr!! The goblin lords moved to attack Yuan, but their large builds hindered their speed. The weighty weapons they wielded made their movements even slower.
“So you want to end me swiftly, do you? I’m sorry, but your speed is far too slow. You won’t be getting anywhere near me…” Yuan declared, observing the ponderous swings of the upper-ranked goblins.
Yuan grinned and swung his sword once more, deftly severing their arms in an instant. The goblins stared in shock at their missing limbs.
Slash!
Before they could even scream, Yuan tightly gripped his sword, executing a swift movement to decapitate the goblin lords.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
In gruesome fashion, inky-black blood sprayed like a fountain from their severed necks. Soon, their headless bodies crashed heavily to the ground, causing a slight tremor.
Meanwhile, Rose, Julie, and Ava watched in excitement, their eyes gleaming with admiration as Yuan continued to dispatch the goblins one by one.
“Wow! Yuan is incredible, dispatching those vile goblins like they’re nothing. This is amazing!” Julie exclaimed, captivated by Yuan’s prowess.
“I’ve seen him in action before. His strength is astonishing due to his high cultivation. To him, taking down goblin lords and hobgoblins is child’s play,” Rose affirmed with a smile, deeply impressed by Yuan’s might.
“It’s unbelievable how cultivation can make someone so incredibly powerful. Most hunters would steer clear of a goblin lord or hobgoblin, given their immense strength and robust bodies. But for Yuan, they’re like mere chickens awaiting the slaughter,” Ava murmured in awe, her eyes locked on Yuan’s brutal and one-sided assault.
Anna, Grace, Emma, Xi Meili, and Lily overheard the Monroe sisters’ conversation, and Lily interjected, “Well, you three might not know this, but Yuan enjoys sword fighting more than anything else, except perhaps for ‘love making.’ He might not realize it yet, but just look at that wide smile on his face as he was dispatching those wretched vermin.”
“It’s likely because he was bullied by his friends in the past, and he doesn’t want that to happen again,” Grace added in a stern tone, though her motherly concern for Yuan was evident in her eyes.
Rose, Julie, and Ava were taken aback to learn that Yuan had been bullied by his friends before. Now, with his incredible strength, they found it hard to imagine him being mistreated.
Lily nodded knowingly. “That might be the case, but in the end, he dealt with those bullies with his own two hands… they got what they deserved.”
Yuan continued to wield his massive sword, dispatching the remaining high-ranking goblins. Their dismembered bodies now lay on the ground, staining it with their repugnant blood. The stench filled the air, reminiscent of rotten eggs.
“You’re the last one standing. Just die so I can rejoin my beautiful wives,” Yuan declared, thrusting his sword at the last goblin’s heart, causing it to spew blood from its mouth before succumbing.
“These creatures are truly wretched vermin, even their blood reeks,” Yuan muttered, wrinkling his nose as the smell permeated the air.
“My task here is finished. It’s time to return to my wives’ side,” Yuan murmured, deftly cleaning the blood from his sword with a flick of his wrist and storing it in his system storage.
Suddenly, a translucent window appeared before his eyes.

<Your understanding of the sword has increased significantly!>

“Sweet!” Yuan exclaimed, an excited smile lighting up his face as he read the system notice.
“But it’s still not enough to buy suitable cultivation techniques for both Julie and Ava. I need to earn some more SP. Moreover, I also need to purchase weapons for them, as well as offensive techniques,” Yuan muttered thoughtfully, making plans for what lay ahead.
“Oh, my chances of learning the ‘Sword Aura’ have significantly increased, awesome!” Yuan exclaimed to himself, his excitement evident. He understood the importance and strength of ‘Sword Aura’.
“My task is done for now. Let’s return to my wives’ side,” Yuan decided, starting back towards the carriage. However, he suddenly halted in his tracks. “Damn, how could I forget about the survivors? Let’s check if they’re fine or not.”
Approaching the carriages, he saw most of them were heavily damaged from the battle. The guards whose duty it was to protect the people inside the carriages had long since fallen to the hands of the goblins.
As Yuan got closer, one of the carriage doors swung open and a few people emerged, covered in blood and some heavily injured. One by one, the doors of the other carriages also opened, revealing more bloodied and injured survivors.
The individuals who emerged from the badly damaged carriage were struck dumb by the sight of numerous lifeless monster bodies strewn across the ground. Disbelief colored their faces.
“What happened here?! What happened to those disgusting monsters!?”
“T-The monsters… Th-they seem to be all dead!!”
“W-Who could possibly be strong enough to face those monsters!? This is unbelievable!”
“Oh, dear God. Thank you for listening to our prayers and defeating those evil creatures.”
Suddenly, they heard footsteps and turned to see Yuan walking towards them, alone, wearing a calm expression as if this gruesome scene was nothing to him, as if he didn’t care at all.
“Young man, who are you? Are you the one who defeated those evil creatures and saved our lives?” One of the survivors asked Yuan very politely, fearing that they might inadvertently offend their savior.
