My Cat Turned Beastman Won't Stop Kissing My Neck
Chapter 164: Grand Wedding
By the time she slowly woke up, she had already missed breakfast.
The man’s warm breath tickled her ear as he whispered a soft, "Morning." Wen Qian murmured a reply, then closed her eyes and stretched languidly.
She glanced at the clock on the wall before turning to hug the man tightly, savoring the chance to laze about in bed.
Outside the ancient castle, the sun hung high in the sky, its rays scorching hot.
In the camp, the Wolf Clan Beastmen were training diligently.
The Attendants had prepared a fresh, elaborate breakfast for Wen Qian and Chi Heng. After receiving permission, they brought the meal into the room.
Wen Qian had already changed into a set of light clothes. The style was very similar to what she usually wore, but the fine craftsmanship and comfortable fabric far surpassed any of her old garments.
The Wolf Clan’s territory was far more vast than Wen Qian had imagined.
Over the next few days, Chi Heng took her traveling everywhere, and each place they visited was different from the last.
Chi Heng’s brothers were also quite interesting, especially the fourth-oldest, who would show up every so often with some strange and bizarre new trinket...
Sometimes it was a flying plant, other times it was a throbbing stone... Every time she saw these things, Wen Qian’s expression was one of utter shock.
’Is this what they call life imitating art?’
She had never even dared to imagine that a stone could jump...
Meanwhile, Chi Ye began visiting Chi Heng more and more frequently. The two would always hole up in a room, discussing something in private. Once, when Wen Qian returned to grab something, she happened to overhear Chi Ye mention the "Contract." Only then did she learn that in the Beast World, a Contract was the equivalent of getting married on Blue Star...
Later, she heard the Attendants discussing it as well and secretly tucked the information away in her heart.
"I heard that a Contract in the Beast World is the same as getting married on Blue Star. Is that true?" one sunny afternoon, Wen Qian asked Chi Heng curiously as they sat together on a swing on the terrace.
Chi Heng nodded obediently, but he kept his eyes lowered, refusing to meet Wen Qian’s gaze.
"Then why haven’t we formed a Contract?" Wen Qian asked, a hint of confusion in her voice.
Chi Heng’s expression froze for a moment, a flicker of avoidance in his eyes. Only when Wen Qian’s gaze fixed firmly on him again did he say in a low voice, "We... We’ve already formed a Contract."
"Huh?" Wen Qian froze, her face a mask of bewilderment.
’Could it be that before I lost my memory, Chi Heng and I already... Oh my god, how could I have forgotten something so important?’
"It’s not..." Seeming to sense what she was thinking, the man turned his face away shyly. After a moment, he explained, "The Wolf Clan’s method of forming a Contract is different from other clans. As long as both parties bite each other’s necks during their heat period... then... it’s considered a Contract."
Blinking rapidly, Wen Qian tried to recall the events of the past few days. In an instant, her face flushed beet red.
In the heat of passion, she had indeed bitten him several times.
"Qianqian, don’t worry. I’ve been meticulously planning the wedding. It definitely won’t be any less grand than the ones you’ve seen on Blue Star..."
Although the Beast World had no tradition of holding weddings—at most, they would have a symbolic gathering for a meal—Chi Heng was determined to give Wen Qian the very best... He wanted to prepare everything perfectly, leaving her with no regrets whatsoever.
Besides, the Beast World had so many rich resources. If he made full use of them, it could truly be the wedding of the century.
Wen Qian didn’t say a word, but her face grew even hotter when she met Chi Heng’s sincere gaze.
In the days that followed, Chi Heng became even busier. But he didn’t neglect Wen Qian, arranging for different people to accompany her every day to ensure her life in the Beast World was safe and fun.
The wedding they planned to hold in the Beast World was to be a solemn and grand affair.
However, to ensure nothing went wrong, Chi Heng did not send invitations to any outside clans.
Despite this, the well-informed Snake Clan and Hundred Bird Clan still caught wind of the news.
When Gu Mian heard the word "wedding," Wen Qian’s bright smile immediately surfaced in his mind. Standing before the window, his expression turned dark and unreadable. He didn’t even notice that he had crushed the glass in his hand...
When the day of the wedding finally arrived, the entire forest seemed to be imbued with a dreamlike palette of colors.
Golden sunlight filtered through the dense foliage, dappling the ground with patches of light and shadow, like a golden carpet laid by nature itself.
At the wedding venue, plants burst into magnificent bloom, and everyone could smell a delicate, fresh fragrance.
At the edge of the forest, in a meticulously cleared glade, stood a wedding stage woven from vines and flowers. Upon it sat candelabras carved from giant seashells, holding orange-yellow flames that added a touch of solemnity to the scene.
Chi Heng was dressed in a magnificent ceremonial robe sewn from beast hide and shimmering scales, looking incredibly handsome.
He stood on the stage, his gaze fixed intently on the forest path, waiting for his bride.
Wen Qian, surrounded by a crowd of well-wishers, slowly made her way down the path.
Her wedding gown was woven from the softest silks in the forest, inlaid with sparkling gems and glittering dust shed from Elves. With every step, she seemed to trail starlight.
The veil on her head was woven from fresh flowers and vines, interlaced with pearls and diamond fragments. Her steps were graceful, and her specially styled hair gave her the gentle and elegant air of a fairy-tale princess.
As Wen Qian drew closer, the Wolf Clan Beastmen and the surrounding animals were swept up in the emotion. They cheered, eager to witness the couple’s happiness.
They clasped hands, their eyes filled with deep affection for one another.
Before all the witnesses, they exchanged rings forged from the hardest ore in the forest, symbolizing their unbreakable love.
The Xuan Beasts circling in the sky beat their wings excitedly, letting out joyous cries...
The music at the wedding was played live by Wolf Clan artisans. To the sound of the beautiful melody, the Beastmen began to dance gracefully around the newlyweds, celebrating this wonderful moment together.
They became the first couple in the Beast World to hold a wedding, and this romantic memory was destined to be engraved in the hearts of all who witnessed it.
Chi Heng had omitted the most exhausting parts of the wedding ceremony. To ensure Wen Qian could enjoy everything in comfort, he even had someone take her back to change into a lighter gown as soon as the rite was over...
The gown was as exquisite as her wedding dress. It was a pale pink, off-the-shoulder design, with a layer of thin, shimmering scales adorning the chest and cuffs.
These were no ordinary fish scales; they all came from the Illusory-Scale Fish that lived in mysterious waters, each one as precious as a meticulously carved gem.
After changing into the gown and slipping on a pair of flat shoes, Wen Qian gave a sweet smile at her reflection in the mirror.
