My Cat Turned Beastman Won't Stop Kissing My Neck
Chapter 120: Disdain, Genuine Disdain
Little Fox saw the message in the temporary group chat and immediately turned back toward the alley.
"Its weak point is the mouth!" he shouted to Yin Zhi and Chi Heng in a clear voice, with Li Jiu perched on his head.
The Mutated Bat Wings’s expression visibly stiffened for a moment. Just as it was about to flee, the tall man gripped its wing tightly.
Ignoring the blood seeping from his palm, the man vaulted in front of the Mutated Bat Wings, swung his blade in a backhand motion, and plunged it straight into the mouth on its collarbone...
Watching the Mutated Bat Wings shrivel up in an instant, everyone instinctively took a step back, not even trying to hide their disgust.
It wasn’t speciesism; this bat was just... disgusting.
"You take it."
"No, you take it."
"I’m not taking it. If someone has to, you do it..."
"If none of you are taking it, then neither am I."
"..."
’Am I some worthless piece of trash?’
The Mutated Bat Wings on the ground was already extremely weak. Now, hearing their disgusted voices, it was so infuriated that it coughed up a mouthful of blood and passed out.
None of the three were willing to touch it. Finally, Chi Heng spoke up. "Why don’t we roll dice for it?"
He remembered there was a feature in the group chat app that let you roll dice with a tap.
And so, Wen Qian, who had been holding her phone the whole time, suddenly heard three notification sounds. She opened the app and saw that three dice icons had appeared in the group chat simultaneously.
One rolled a 3.
One rolled a 5.
And one rolled a 7.
Wait... what the hell is a 7?!
A die only has six sides! Where did a 7 come from?!
At the same time, Little Fox realized his mistake. He scrambled to retract the message, but Yin Zhi had already screenshotted it.
Yin Zhi: "You cheated! The cheater takes it!"
Chi Heng: "Agreed."
Gritting his teeth, Little Fox felt utterly dejected. ’Cheating really does take experience,’ he thought. ’Look at me... I messed up instantly.’
He walked over to the bat reluctantly. After a moment, he pulled a pack of tissues from his pocket, carefully placed them over his hand, and gingerly picked the bat up.
Following Yin Zhi back to the car, he disgustedly tossed the thing in his hand inside.
There was a loud THUD.
Little Fox jumped in fright.
He instinctively glanced at the young man beside him. "I didn’t kill it, did I?"
Yin Zhi fell silent, clearly unwilling to check on the creature’s condition. Finally, he pursed his lips and said resentfully, "It’s probably not that fragile..."
Getting into the cars, everyone headed to the rendezvous point.
There wasn’t much traffic at this hour, and with the authorities intentionally controlling the surrounding area, the journey was smooth and unimpeded.
The night grew darker. Shen Mqing sat in the back seat, poking at the bat with a childish look in his eyes. Ling Xuan glanced at him in the rearview mirror and gave a helpless expression.
"Should I turn the heat up?" Gu Mian asked calmly from the driver’s seat.
Wen Qian, who had been looking down at her phone, suddenly snapped out of it. She smiled and shook her head. "No, it’s fine. The temperature is perfect."
The man said nothing more, but he flicked a glance at her phone screen. ’Ah, she’s in a group chat.’
’I wonder what they’re talking about that’s making her so happy,’ he mused. ’Her shoulders were shaking so much, I thought she was shivering from the cold.’
The cars finally stopped at an abandoned factory. Wen Qian had only ever seen places like this on TV. Dim, yellow light spilled in mottled patches across the ground, and haphazard piles of spare parts and tools created a desolate and lonely scene.
Gu Mian’s car was the first to arrive, with Ling Xuan’s right behind. There was no sign of Yin Zhi or Chi Heng yet, so everyone waited outside instead of going in.
Shen Mqing started wandering around the moment he got out of the car. Who knows where he found it, but he excitedly brought a cage over to Wen Qian and, as if presenting a treasure, stuffed the bat inside.
The bat flapped its wings, trying to get out, but the moment it moved, Shen Mqing grabbed the cage and swung it around twice, nearly making the creature vomit.
’Demon! He’s definitely a Demon!’
’Poking me in the car was one thing, but now he’s locked me in a cage!’ The Mutated Bat Wings bared its fangs, but ultimately, there was nothing it could do to Shen Mqing...
Curious as a child, Wen Qian peered into the factory. The machinery inside had clearly long since stopped running, covered in rust and stained with dried grease. The ground around them, however, created a curious contrast with the derelict scene.
"This creepy place has Young Master written all over it," Shen Mqing said, putting the cage down. He then started kicking boredly at the pebbles on the ground.
Wen Qian was amused by his childish antics, but she didn’t say anything.
The place certainly was gloomy. Not only was the light dim, but some kind of animal was perched on the exposed steel beams. The factory doors were also in tatters. Although they were locked, the left door had clearly been smashed open by something, and it would make a WHOOSHING sound whenever the wind blew.
The sound of an engine grew from a distant hum to a roar. Wen Qian and the others turned around at the same time, and a familiar figure came into view.
Chi Heng’s motorcycle could take the side roads, so he had arrived faster than Yin Zhi’s group.
He swung his leg off the bike and casually pulled Li Jiu from his pocket.
The little guy immediately flapped his wings and scurried toward Wen Qian, burying his head straight into her arms.
A gentle look filled Wen Qian’s eyes. She lightly tapped his little head, and a second later, a car sped over and came to a steady halt beside the motorcycle.
Yin Zhi and Little Fox got out of the car and waved at Wen Qian.
"Where’s the Mutated Bat Wings?" Wen Qian asked, looking at their empty hands.
Wrapping an arm halfway around Wen Qian, Yin Zhi didn’t even look up. He just jerked his thumb back twice. "Trunk."
He felt sick just thinking about having such a disgusting creature in the car.
"Stand up straight..." Wen Qian said, feeling a bit smothered by his weight.
Yin Zhi reluctantly straightened up, grumbling unhappily, "But I just want to be close to you."
Little Fox watched their affectionate display with envy. As soon as Wen Qian glanced his way, he let out a cold snort. Wen Qian slapped her forehead, instantly realizing he was sulking again.
Shen Mqing didn’t notice the strange atmosphere at all. He was just wondering why everyone was standing around. Didn’t they say the Mutated Bat Wings was in the trunk? Why wasn’t anyone getting it?
"Young Master Shen, you go get it," Gu Mian said calmly, glancing at his confused expression.
Shen Mqing was a bit baffled, since he was the farthest away, but he scratched his head and walked toward the trunk anyway.
The Mutated Bat Wings had been in the trunk the whole way. It had just regained consciousness when Shen Mqing hoisted it up by its two wings.
Then, several tall, slender figures came into its view...
’There were only three of them just now, how did they turn into...’
’One, two, three, four, five, six... Why are there so many?’
The more it counted, the dizzier it got, and it almost fainted again.
But Shen Mqing clearly wasn’t going to give it the chance. Seeing it go limp, he immediately gave it a couple of hard shakes. "Hey! Wake up... Don’t fall asleep!"
The Mutated Bat Wings struggled frantically, signaling that it was still awake.
’Can’t faint, absolutely cannot faint...’
