My Arts Evolve When Perfected
Chapter 401 - 380: Shaking the Desolate Realm, Erecting a Monument and a Statue for Jiang Qiu
DING—
The navigational coordinates for the [Eight-direction Reversing Ship] had been fully transmitted to Jiang Qiu. As he opened a large-scale map of the void, his pupils trembled slightly. ’This far?’
The void was nearly infinite, a boundless expanse. It contained a seemingly endless number of worlds—countless smaller realms, some teeming with life and others barren. As such, a map that could chart the entire void was simply impossible.
However, large-scale maps did exist, centered around major Great Realms that served as navigational anchors. The vast, large-scale map Jiang Qiu was currently using, for instance, conveniently included the distribution of well-known worlds between the Yin Yang Great Realm and the Nine Venerable Great Realm.
The distance between the two locations was immense, and the worlds between them were countless. Most of the unremarkable or uninhabited worlds were left unmarked on the map. Even so, the coordinates for the [Eight-direction Reversing Ship] showed it had already passed the halfway point and was nearing its destination.
Their journey was more than halfway complete. In less than ten years of travel, they would return to their Ancestral Realm, the Nine Venerable Great Realm.
Of course, the actual time would likely be even shorter. Their journey so far had been through the spheres of influence of other Great Realms. The Nine Venerable Great Realm’s influence didn’t extend as far as one might think, and it lacked well-established infrastructure in those remote regions.
Once they entered the sphere of influence belonging to the Nine Venerable Great Realm, refueling would become much faster. There were even special travel channels available, meaning the actual remaining travel time might be less than a year!
Faced with this situation, Jiang Qiu felt the immense pressure mount. However, he then discovered he could zoom in on the coordinates of the [Eight-direction Reversing Ship]. ’It’s actually this detailed! Pinpointed right to a Great Realm!’
He had no idea what methods [Celestial Star] used to transmit information from such a vast distance, nor how it had instantly locked onto Zuo Xuan’s [Eight-direction Reversing Ship]. But these detailed coordinates were an undeniable boon for Jiang Qiu.
The precision of the coordinates would determine the accuracy of his teleportation. If they only indicated a vague region of the void, he might end up on any random world within that area, wasting precious time on the search.
After all, while the void was vast, the worlds within it were numerous. In any given direction, one could see the silhouettes of countless worlds, though not all of them necessarily hosted permanent life.
Yet the coordinates provided by [Celestial Star] were precise enough to pinpoint a specific Great Realm. It even indicated the fleet’s resting status. It was hard not to suspect that there was a spy within the enemy’s ranks.
This was tantamount to having the coordinates of a military base completely exposed. It was astonishing. Jiang Qiu was deeply impressed by the heaven-defying capabilities of the Three-Life Race.
"Phew..." He let out a long breath, closing the coordinate map. He casually stroked [Snow]’s head and said in a solemn tone, "[Snow], we’re going to Desolate Great Realm No. 111. It will be a long journey. Our Fusion... it might have a chance to progress even further..."
"Mm-hm," [Snow] nodded, wrapping her arms around him. Her chest pressed against his torso, soft and supple, full of give. "I know. To deepen our Fusion."
Fusion was never a one-step process. Their initial Fusion had been like undergoing a tribulation, and the subsequent surge in their power levels was a burst of growth fueled by abundant resources—a sudden release of long-accumulated potential.
But while their individual auras and overall strength had soared, their comprehension of Fusion hadn’t necessarily kept pace. It was a classic case of one’s techniques lagging behind one’s Realm.
It was like a top-tier expert at the Harmonization Realm who still only knew how to throw punches. Sure, those punches might seem infinitely powerful, their aura shaking the cosmos, but compared to Secret Techniques that could casually annihilate worlds, they were as crude as a caveman.
She understood Jiang Qiu’s meaning: they needed to further enhance their Fusion Realm capabilities, to hone some of their personal skills until they evolved into Divine Abilities. For anyone else, this would be an absurd notion, but Jiang Qiu was different.
Ever since their Fusion, she had vaguely sensed a barrier deep within Jiang Qiu’s soul. It was incredibly solid, an untouchable, distant shore that protected his very Origin.
Unlike the secret in her own soul, which seemed connected to the Dragon Race, the barrier in Jiang Qiu’s soul couldn’t truly be called a restraint. It also had a powerful supportive function. Unfortunately, it was impossible to observe, so its true nature remained a mystery.
One thing was certain: Jiang Qiu possessed the ability to rapidly elevate ordinary skills. This was something she could easily perceive just by looking back through her memories of him.
It started when he was just a high school senior who learned the basic Ancient Martial Spear Technique and mastered it with astonishing speed. He had distinguished himself at Gao Yuan City’s Outer City Eighth Middle School, excelled in the university entrance exams, and then rose to the top at Northwest Martial University. He became a dazzling figure on all of Blue Star, and now, his fame echoed throughout the Desolate Realm. All of it was a testament to his Talent.
Taking something seemingly simple and training it to an incredible level—that was his Talent, a blessing that stemmed from the depths of his soul. As far as she could tell, he could instantly comprehend even the Divine Abilities of a True Dragon, as if there were no barriers to entry at all.
In reality, a True Dragon’s Divine Abilities weren’t mastered overnight. She herself had to undergo many days of integration and metamorphosis just to begin scratching the surface of the true [Day and Night Reversal] Divine Ability. Her usual Spatial Teleportation was merely the most basic application of space-type Laws.
Yet during his last transformation, Jiang Qiu had grasped [Day and Night Reversal] in an instant. He used it with perfect ease, showing no signs of unfamiliarity. He had even launched a devastating counter-attack against Hun Tian, who at the time had been at the Peak of the Fusion Realm!
