Chapter 345 - 344: Mobilizing Law Power

  • Next Chapter

After the Dragon Spirit Fish devoured the souls of all the Fusion Realm experts, it finally broke the last seal. In that instant, the Dream Demon felt the continent beneath him sinking, an irresistible gravity pressing his body toward the ground.

This Secret Realm was undergoing its final transformation, and the nine peak Harmonization Realm experts were also trying to divide the Dragon Spirit Fish they coveted most.

The massive Dragon Spirit Fish emanated the might of the Dragon Race. Though there was only a sliver of it, it was enough to make all living creatures tremble with instinctual fear.

The Dream Demon’s body continued to sink. He fought with all his might to resist the pressure, but his recent exertion had drained him of all his strength. It was nearly impossible for him to hold on any longer.

As a Half-Step Fusion Realm cultivator, to have survived this long and witnessed nine Harmonization Realm experts soaring across the sky, his power was already astounding.

But now, he was just a dying firefly, its light about to be extinguished, never to shine again.

To the Harmonization Realm experts, he was an ant unworthy of notice. To the colossal Dragon Spirit Fish, he was an untouchable, minuscule speck of dust.

’Did Monarch Chen’s plan go wrong? Am I not going to make it to the final stage...?’

’No, Monarch Chen doesn’t make mistakes.’

Clinging to this unyielding conviction, he gritted his teeth and began to circulate the Secret Technique he cultivated. His once handsome and spirited form began to change. The vibrant butterfly insignia on his forehead glowed dazzlingly, as if countless fireflies were shining from within.

A strange, ancient aura erupted from within him. A dreamlike, incomprehensible power burst forth from the depths of his soul. Monarch Chen had not only given him a Cultivation Technique but had also helped him absorb one of the Treasures of Heaven and Earth from a primordial era.

By cultivating this peculiar Great Dao, one’s life and death existed beyond the physical realm. As long as one’s thoughts, soul, and body did not perish, nothing would truly die. It was like reversing causality, or waking from a grand dream that framed all of existence.

’Dream Demon!’

With those two words echoing in his mind, his soul completely dissolved into fluorescent light before reforming into colorful butterflies that fluttered away. It was as if he had perished, dismembered, and all traces of his aura had vanished.

And yet, the Laws of this Secret Realm could not digest him. He hadn’t truly died, but was merely existing in another form.

Of course, such a technique came at a great cost. He could be considered all but dead. Everything from his past was forsaken. However, he still had a brief window of "existence" left, a chance to try and steal the Dragon Spirit Fish and even the True Dragon’s remains.

Once the Secret Realm’s transformation was complete and the nine Harmonization Realm experts made their move, he could be the oriole waiting in the wings, ready to snatch the Dragon Spirit Fish and the True Dragon’s remains and flee!

VMMM—

A divine sense swept by, passing through his now variegated and scattered form and scanning across the landmass below. Countless surviving Cultivators were reduced to mere nutrients. One of the Harmonization Realm experts overhead was confirming whether everyone else was dead.

A Harmonization Realm expert might not care about the ants beneath their feet, but so what if they did?

An ant is just an ant. How could it possibly fathom the mind of a Harmonization Realm expert, who was as distant and brilliant as the moon?

Fortunately, the Dream Demon’s physical body had vanished. His Soul Body, scattered as colorful butterflies, was no longer considered a life-form and thus went undetected. As for the other creatures below, they had all been devoured by the Secret Realm’s Laws.

Under the might of the Dragon Spirit Fish, their bodies sank along with the continent into the endless ocean, not even causing a ripple.

Although they wanted to fly to safety, their power was no longer enough to support their Soul Bodies against the Dragon Spirit Fish’s might. In the end, they could only perish, filled with resentment.

Even the Dream Demon could see that all life in the Secret Realm had vanished. Their souls were fed back into the body of the Dragon Spirit Fish, helping it break the seal on the Secret Realm and nourishing the True Dragon’s lingering wisp of aura...

’Wait, something’s not right!’

Suddenly, a startling thought entered the Dream Demon’s consciousness. He began to converge the vision of his butterflies, which were scattered across the sky, focusing on a patch of rippleless water.

By now, the entire continent had sunk beneath the water, as had all the creatures suppressed by the pressure. Yet, there was still one person remaining!

A masked Cultivator from the Yin Yang Great Realm. He was dressed in black robes, with a tail hanging naturally behind him. The Dragon Scales on his arms gleamed with a dark golden light, and his pair of Dragon Eyes burned as hot as the sun. He emanated soul fluctuations that surpassed the Dao Entry Realm!

’How... How is there still a Dragon Race aura?!’

The most unbelievable sensation coursed through the depths of the Dream Demon’s soul. He suddenly felt the trace of Dragon Race bloodline that Monarch Chen had bestowed upon him begin to resonate.

The thousands of fragments of his soul, scattered as butterflies, all resonated in unison. They were like fireflies dotted across the endless Secret Realm, all flaring to life, forming a backdrop that amplified this person’s aura.

"Hm?"

Even one of the nine Harmonization Realm experts, Monarch Netherworld of the Netherworld Dynasty, had noticed this person. He raised a hand and pressed down. An invisible force, as powerful as a tidal wave, erupted.

And yet, in reality, nothing seemed to happen. Not a single trace of Nether Dark Spirit Charm overflowed from his palm; it looked as if he had simply made a casual pressing motion with his hand.

BANG—

Instantly, the water beneath that person erupted as if a depth charge had detonated. A hundred-foot-tall geyser of water shot up, instantly submerging him, as the massive aftershock of a tsunami spread out from the epicenter.

Sensing the soul-crushing might within the attack, the Dream Demon held his breath—even though he no longer needed to breathe. A profound sense of terror was carved deep into his soul.

’To face a Harmonization Realm expert is to face certain death.’

’He had followed Monarch Chen, the reincarnated Demon Emperor, for so many years. Of course he knew how powerful the Harmonization Realm was.’

’While not every Harmonization Realm expert could compare to Monarch Chen, who had already begun pursuing Transcendence, one had to remember that in a Great Realm with hundreds of billions of lives, it could take millennia, even tens of thousands of years, to produce a single one!’

’To reach the Harmonization Realm meant one stood at the very apex of cultivation, with a chance to pursue Transcendence. How could such a being tolerate the covetous gaze of an ant?’

With that thought, the Dream Demon assumed the other man was dead. But then, the butterfly fragments of his soul, a product of his Secret Technique, began to tremble. His Dragon Race bloodline was responding, and a boundless Law Power was stirred into motion.

’That’s right. Law Power.’

’What’s going on?!’

At that moment, it wasn’t just the Dream Demon who was dumbfounded. Even the nine Harmonization Realm experts above frowned. As beings of the Harmonization Realm, they could, of course, command Law Power.

The difference, however, was that the other party was commanding the unique Law Power of this Secret Realm, not the fundamental Laws that were common to all the Great Realms...
