Chapter 794 52: A Rotten Idea

Any organization's decline shows signs.

Especially organizations in the Extraordinary Domain.

There are organizations that collapse suddenly, but most have a long history of decline, or rather, have such and such weaknesses and hidden dangers that both insiders and outsiders can clearly perceive.

But the Roman Catholic Church is clearly not one of them.

They have a leader, although advanced in years, who is still strong and powerful, wielding the imposing momentum forged by countless conflicts in his early life, suppressing all opposing voices within the Church, allowing only one voice to exist.

They have a Holy Coffin Knight Order that is enough to make any Empowerer organization tremble, and it is completely loyal to the Church. After nearly a hundred years of iteration, their loyalty is unquestionable, and everyone is sure that the Holy Coffin Knight Order can sacrifice themselves for the Church without hesitation.

They also have an extremely extensive secular foundation, with believers said to be spread all over the world, ensuring that they don't worry about successors or a shortage of talent.

Since the Iron-blooded Pope Gregory III took the throne, he has been continuously absorbing Empowerers from other systems to use them for the Church.

And they had long achieved breakthroughs.

Hecate is one such representative.

It can be said that rather than worrying about the Roman Catholic Church facing a talent gap, one should worry whether one's own Extraordinary Body will eventually be left with no one to use.

Because the Roman Catholic Church is simply too vast, and as long as the Authority Ability is strong enough, by joining them and receiving Baptism, resources are almost guaranteed.

A broad road appeared instantly at one's feet.

Most importantly.

They also have an extraordinary support that is unique in the entire world—a few Activated high-tier Divine beings.

How could it ever look like it would collapse?

Even when recently, the Roman Catholic Church stumbled greatly in East Asia, and that Holy Coffin Knight was indicted, resulting in a loss of face, for many people, it still did not seem like the Roman Catholic Church was about to collapse.

Because it was just one Holy Coffin Knight.

Although the impact indeed was significant.

But for the Roman Catholic Church, at worst, it only meant their sanctity suffered a substantial hit, and North America retreated completely.

As for collapse?

How could it be possible?

Moreover, with the Pope stepping in personally, didn't North America stabilize immediately?

Furthermore.

The recent circulating rumors of judgment, clear-sighted people can see, it is the Roman Catholic Church preparing to make a comeback.

In contrast.

The Celestial Strategy Mansion seems more like it is filled with hidden dangers, on the brink of collapsing.

After all, Xia Yue's death is indeed not a trivial matter.

However, it is just that one enormous Empowerer organization, which everyone believed impossible to collapse, in less than a single day... suddenly collapsed.

And it was from the bottom, the most comprehensive collapse!

The entire system was directly destroyed.

Gods dissipated, the Celestial Kingdom shattered, the Holy City shook, the source of death... was cut off.

If any one of these had happened, it would be enough for rational Empowerers to exclaim that such a thing is impossible, enough to cause an earthquake in the entire Western Empowerer circle... yet they all happened together.

As the dust settled.

With various pieces of information arriving.

At that moment.

Empowerers across the world felt they must be mad.

Especially Empowerers in Europe.

They could directly witness the state of the Holy City.

At the same time, they were also direct witnesses to the shattered Celestial Kingdom, the golden figure, and the shocking sword of Emperor Shi.

And having witnessed it.

They found it unbelievable.

No!!

That was the Holy City!

That was the rare Activated high-tier Divine being's Celestial Kingdom!!

That was a death source connecting tens of millions of believers!!!

Just gone like that!?

Fell like this?

Cut off just like that!??

What kind of joke is this!!!

When common sense and what was witnessed clash.

That night.

Empowerers throughout Europe, and indeed a large portion of the world's Empowerers, remained sleepless.

And by the next day.

As more information and details emerged.

Finally.

The reality of what had happened... completely crushed their common sense, their incredulity.

The Roman Catholic Church.

This super-first-class Empowerer organization was known throughout Europe and even worldwide.

…collapsed yesterday.

Really collapsed in less than one day.

The Iron-blooded Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, Stone shattered, gravely ill.

Not only did the Roman Catholic Church collapse, but the Goryeo under its control also similarly fell.

The Goryeo death source was entirely disconnected from the Human World's land.

From now on.

Goryeo will never produce Empowerers again.

And all this originated from a retribution action, or more accurately, an action of the Roman Catholic Church trying to regain ground.

The Roman Catholic Church sacrificed Empowerers throughout Goryeo, forcibly summoned a Great Angel in the East.

But the Celestial Strategy Mansion seemed well-prepared…

Giant Sword, Golden Beam, Emperor… Chen Lusi.

Generally speaking.

Descriptions converted into words are often powerless.

No matter how thrilling the situation was at the time, how mighty Chen Lusi and Emperor Shi's presence was.

Once passed on, becoming words, they would turn remarkably pale.

These people may never truly understand the feelings of those Empowerer onlookers at the time.

However.

There is a premise.

That is, the impact this event caused must be invisible.
