Chapter 571: Chapter 354: Chaos Rises Again. No One Is Born a Slave.

The other Saint Heirs and Saintesses saw this and followed suit, establishing their own Sects, recruiting droves of disciples, and disseminating their great techniques.

As Saint Tier masters, it was a simple matter for them to slightly modify a Cultivation Technique and leave a backdoor. This was a trick they had learned from Su Xuanji.

In a cramped apartment in the Los Santos Underground City, a white man was practicing the Golden Sun Spell. Having killed many innocent and weak people in the past, he knew he couldn’t pass the advancement review for Extraordinary Beings. Thus, he had taken the Sect Leader of the Golden Sun Sect as his master to learn the subsequent Cultivation Technique.

The Breathing Technique taught by his new master allowed for rapid progress, and he soon broke through to Tier Five. As the fifth Spiritual Power Vortex condensed, he failed to notice—or rather, was completely unaware—that a crimson pattern unique to the Cyan Spirit Star Realm flashed deep within his pupils. Sometimes, while meditating late at night, he would suddenly hear strange whispers, but he paid them no mind.

...

In the presidential suite of a magnificent hotel in the Los Santos Underground City, the group of Saint Heirs and Saintesses had gathered to discuss important matters.

"I performed a Divination," said a man skilled in the Divination Technique, his eyes glinting. "It seems that Li Xiang possesses an extremely precious treasure. Otherwise, it would be impossible for him to have reached Saint Tier in just a few years. If we can seize it, it will be a great opportunity for us."

Su Xuanji chuckled. "Even without the treasure, Li Xiang still has the complete versions of all the various sects’ Cultivation Techniques."

The others’ eyes burned with greed. After all, obtaining several thousand complete and precious Breathing Techniques would be a tremendous opportunity for them. Even the Scripture Pavilions of many great Sects might not contain so many profound texts.

Although they could easily obtain subsequent Cultivation Techniques by passing the review, that Li Xiang was incredibly cunning. He split each technique into a dozen or more parts for distribution, meaning the versions currently circulating were all Low Tier. They were all at the Saint Tier, with some on the verge of breaking through to the Divine Tier; waiting was simply too slow. Besides, if they tried to apply for the assessment, they likely wouldn’t pass the review, since they were all unregistered.

Forging identities might be possible, but to obtain techniques beyond the Saint Tier, they would need to pose as incredibly powerful Extraordinary Beings. Where on Earth could they find enough people like that? A sudden emergence of so many masters would surely arouse Li Xiang’s suspicion.

"Why don’t we just storm his location, capture that kid, and torture the information out of him?" a Saint Heir suggested.

"Brother Zhu makes a good point," another Saint Heir agreed. "There are many of us. If we lure him out, we can swarm him. Killing him and taking his treasure is the most direct and simple path."

A Female Cultivator hesitated and said, "I saw... online... that there are rumors his speed can reach 80 Mach. Even if he’s no match for us, I’m afraid we won’t be able to stop him if he decides to flee."

"That has to be a rumor, right? Who could possibly be that fast? 80 Mach... even someone at the Peak of Divine Tier couldn’t manage that, could they?"

This group had been in Los Santos for a long time, and their dress, speech, and mannerisms were now indistinguishable from those of Earthlings. They had also learned a great deal about Earth’s science, so they knew what a "Mach" unit was. That was why they were using such trendy terminology.

Among their current group, the fastest was Su Xuanji, who could reach a speed of 3 Mach. The others managed between 1 and 2 Mach, speeds that already made them top performers in their respective Sects. They simply couldn’t believe that another Saint Tier Cultivator could achieve such a freakish speed of 80 Mach.

"If he really can move at 80 Mach, it must be because of that treasure."

"If that’s the case, then that treasure is even more precious."

"Actually, his speed doesn’t matter. Let’s test him out first—get a measure of his true strength. If that really doesn’t work, there’s always..."

"Always what?"

"Men are all slaves to lust. Our Fairies here are peerlessly beautiful. If you ladies employ a few of your wiles, he’ll definitely take the bait."

The expressions of Su Xuanji and the other Female Cultivators darkened. ’So he wants us to use a honey trap?’ However, if it meant success, they didn’t mind. They could just kill that kid with a single sword strike afterward. They immediately agreed.

Afterward, others chimed in with their own suggestions. In total, they came up with seven or eight plots, each one treacherous and cruel. If any were to succeed, Li Xiang would be completely at their mercy.

No one mentioned how so many of them would divide a single treasure. After all, one doesn’t argue over how to cook a goose before it’s even been shot. Questions of how to feast—and how to betray one another—could wait until the bird was in the pot. Each harbored their own secret intentions.

The more the group talked, the more excited they became, completely forgetting that the front-facing cameras on the smartphones they’d left on the table were quietly recording their faces.

「Underground Dungeon 03.」

Jiang Cai’Er curled her lip slightly. "They’re outsiders, after all. They only have a superficial understanding of Earth’s technology."

When it came to cyber warfare, no one on Earth today was Jiang Cai’Er’s superior. Of course, this wasn’t warfare—it was unilateral surveillance.

The frequent battles, conflicts, and general chaos erupting in Los Santos had long ago drawn Jiang Cai’Er’s attention. She soon discovered the anomaly and had spent the last several days secretly monitoring the twenty-odd Saint Heirs and Saintesses.

In fact, there had already been a brief confrontation during this process, though the other party was completely unaware.

One of the Saint Heirs, while studying electronics, had actually tried to use his Spiritual Sense to invade a phone’s chip and see how it worked. However, he triggered a quantum encryption trap preset by Jiang Cai’Er, and his Spiritual Sense recoiled as if it had been electrocuted.

At the time, the Saint Heir had wondered suspiciously, ’Is Earth’s electricity this magical? It seems you can’t touch it with your hands, and you can’t even probe it with Spiritual Sense.’
