When the car returned to The Hillside Villa, the rain was still falling.

As soon as Summer Shawcross walked in, the somewhat grown-up Crystal Drexler joyfully dashed over with her four little legs, bumped against her feet, let out a satisfied bark, and then slowly moved to the feet of the man beside Summer Shawcross…

However, before she got close, the man swept her away with a cold gaze.

Crystal Drexler, seemingly sensing the chill, suddenly turned her little head to Katherine Irving’s feet.

“Oh, she’s getting cuter and cuter!” Katherine Irving bent down as soon as she saw the furry little yellow creature, quickly squatting to pick her up.

Summer Shawcross also turned her head to look at Crystal Drexler. Since coming here, she had grown quite a bit plumper and larger, with her short fur growing much longer, looking fluffy and absolutely adorable!

Summer Shawcross only recently discovered that Crystal Drexler might be a long-haired dog.

The butler brought her slippers, and after Summer Shawcross obediently changed into them, he worriedly checked if her hair and clothes had been dampened by the rain.

“You didn’t get caught in the rain, right? It’s easy to catch a cold in this weather. If a pregnant woman catches a cold, it’s troublesome.”

“Butler, don’t worry, I didn’t get wet.” Summer Shawcross smiled, softly explaining it to him.

The butler didn’t take her word for it but carefully inspected her, ensuring she hadn’t gotten wet before he showed a relieved expression, continuing to nag Summer Shawcross.

“The soup’s ready, go to the dining room and drink it while it’s hot; it’ll help ward off the chill!”

Upon hearing the butler’s words, Summer Shawcross instinctively rubbed her belly, then nodded lightly and followed the butler to the dining room to have the soup.

…

Just after Summer Shawcross left, Sean Morgan’s phone suddenly rang. He reached for his phone, glanced at the screen, and then placed it to his ear.

“I want to meet him.” A man’s voice came through the phone.

Hearing this, Sean Morgan’s expression showed little change, simply agreeing.

“I’ll convey the message for you.”

After the call ended, Sean Morgan turned to look at Noah Drexler but didn’t speak directly; instead, he turned to Katherine Irving.

“Katherine, could you go to the dining room and keep the lady company?”

Katherine Irving, who was having fun playing with the dog, felt a bit disappointed at the attempt to send her away but obediently agreed.

“Okay.” Saying this, Katherine Irving turned around with Crystal Drexler in her arms and went to the dining room.

Once Katherine Irving was far away, Noah Drexler glanced down at Sean Morgan, suddenly pursing his lips.

“What’s going on?”

Sean Morgan didn’t immediately answer him but approached Noah Drexler, speaking softly.

“He wants to see you.”

Upon hearing this, Noah Drexler frowned, and his expression became somewhat complicated.

…

Late at night.

The rain that began in the afternoon was still continuing without pause.

In the quiet room, the man in the wheelchair sat silently, with only a dim lamp casting a yellow light on the old photo album in his hand.

The man was very thin, his hand flipping the album seemed to be only skin and bones, but his face, once incredibly gentle, still retained an expression of warmth.
