Chapter 242 Morning Messages and Digital Fame

Moving like a phantom through his storm of fire and gravity, she simply danced through his overlapping techniques.

With a single casual sweep of her hand, she shattered his lightning clones into harmless sparks.

Before Lynx could react, Nyx closed the remaining distance in a blur. A concentrated burst of dark demonic pressure slammed into his chest like a falling meteor.

Crash!

Lynx flew backward, hitting the obsidian floor hard enough to crack the surface beneath him.

He tried to push himself up, but Nyx was already there.

With a playful yet merciless grin, she pinned him down, her knee pressing firmly against his chest while her hands locked his wrists against the ground.

He had lost.

And then, to rub salt into the wound, Nyx didn’t let up. For two solid minutes, she proceeded to give him a thorough, humbling thrashing right there in his own mind world, slapping his chest, tossing him around like a ragdoll, and completely dismantling his guard with humiliating ease.

It was the very first time in his new life that Lynx had ever taken a genuine, unmitigated beating.

Pantish breaths escaping his lips, Lynx lay flat on his back, staring up at the shifting auroras as the pain instantly faded under his Primordial Healing passive.

Nyx hovered over him, resting her hands on her hips, her chest heaving slightly from the exertion.

Her crimson eyes gleamed with a mixture of amusement and stern affection.

"You’ve grown immensely, Lynx," Nyx said, her voice dropping into a serious, commanding tone. "Your potential is terrifying, and your affinities are divine. But raw power without refined combat discipline is just a loud noise. If you want to conquer this continent and face the true monsters waiting in the shadows, you have to work much harder. Do you understand?"

Lynx stared up at her for a long moment, then let out a low, genuine chuckle. He reached up, gently catching her wrist and pulling her down closer to him.

"I understand," Lynx murmured, a warm, lopsided smile touching his lips. "And you know what? I’m damn proud to have a fierce woman like you keeping me in check."

Nyx’s stern expression melted instantly. A soft, flustered blush dusted her pale cheeks, her crimson eyes softening as she looked down at his impossibly handsome face.

"You... you really don’t know when to stop flirting, do you?" she muttered, though she made no move to pull away.

"Never," Lynx whispered.

With a smooth motion, he flipped the dynamic, pulling her down against his chest as the training spar dissolved entirely into passionate, intense heat.

For hours within the timeless expanse of the World of Mind, they lost themselves in each other, their energy merging in a wild, ecstatic storm of physical and spiritual intimacy.

The morning sun filtered softly through the massive glass windows of Room 15, casting long, golden beams across the black silk duvets of Lynx’s king-sized bed.

Lynx opened his eyes, exhaling a calm breath as he materialized back into his physical suite after hours of deep, exhausting intimacy with Nyx in the mind world.

His body felt completely reset, humming with clean, boundless vitality.

He rolled over and picked up his hPhone from the nightstand.

The screen immediately lit up with a barrage of notifications. Dozens of direct messages flooded his Instalite inbox from academy students, fan pages, and curious onlookers. As usual, Lynx ignored ninety-nine percent of them with a casual swipe.

However, he tapped on a message from Professor Mira, replying politely to her check-in from the previous day, and scrolled down to follow Professor Selene on Instalite.

When he checked Selene’s official profile, he noticed she had a modest few thousand followers—standard for most Blessed who didn’t care about public vanity.

Her feed consisted mostly of clean, professional training photos taken by admiring students.

Lynx tapped the follow button anyway, grinning faintly at the thought of the ice-cold professor’s reaction when she saw his notification.

Then, his eyes caught a frantic red notification bubble from a very specific chat thread. Mia.

The fifteen-year-old girl from Hope Children’s Home had been blowing up his messages since yesterday.

Mia: "Mr. Lynx! Are you ignoring me?!"

Mia: "Everyone at the home is talking about your fight clips on the academy news! I mean Everyone!!

Mia: "Please, please, please send me a photo! Just a quick one! I need to show all my friends that I’m actually chatting with the most famous Blessed in the empire, or they’re going to call me a liar!"

Lynx chuckled softly, shaking his head at her endless energy. Deciding to indulge her, he opened the camera app on his new hPhone.

Thanks to his Eternal Charm attribute, capturing a bad angle was physically impossible.

Even with a casual, off-guard selfie taken in his dimly lit VIP suite, his heterochromatic eyes, silver-gold hair, and sculpted facial structure rendered the photo near-perfection, radiating an effortless, godlike aesthetic that looked straight out of a high-budget editorial magazine.

He tapped send.

Within three seconds, a frantic reply popped up.

Mia: "OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!"

Mia: "HE SENT IT! HE ACTUALLY SENT IT!"

Mia: "I’m literally screaming right now! You look unreal! I’m posting this on my story immediately so everyone knows I’m not lying!"

True to her word, less than a minute later, Mia had reposted the photo to her public Instalite story with a string of dramatic, cap locked captions expressing her total meltdown.

Lynx laughed out loud, tossing the phone back onto the bed.

He checked the room’s digital clock embedded in the wall: 8:45 AM.

"Shit," Lynx muttered, sitting up sharply.

He had spent the majority of the previous day and evening deep in the mind world with Nyx, completely losing track of time.

He had missed his morning classes entirely, and more importantly, his scheduled meeting at Headmistress Amelia office was set for 9:00 AM sharp.

He needed to get across campus immediately.

Since he didn’t know the exact labyrinthine security protocols required to navigate the upper administrative tiers of the Central Spire, he needed someone who knew the layout inside and out.

Lynx opened his messaging app and tapped on Eleanor Haleborn’s name. As the Year 4 Queen and head of her faction, Eleanor was the one person guaranteed to know Amelia’s office.

Lynx: "Hey, Queen. Where are you?"

The reply came back instantly, as if she had been staring at her phone waiting for him.

Eleanor: "In the Ice Affinity Class. Class is in session. Why? Did you manage to sleep through the entire morning again?"

Lynx: "Worse. I have to be at Headmistress Amelia’s office before nine, and I have no clue how to navigate the upper spire wards. Need your help."

Eleanor: [A brief pause of typing dots] "You’ve got a death wish, don’t you? Summoning an audience with Amelia on short notice and you don’t even know the route? Meet me at the entrance of the Year 4 Girls’ Building right now. I’ll guide you."

Lynx: "On my way."

Before teleporting across campus, Lynx decided to take a quick bath.

Technically, as Blessed neither Lynx nor any other Blessed truly needed to bathe, brush their teeth, or use skincare lotions.

Their bodies naturally repelled dust, sweat, and impurities, allowing them to go weeks, months, or even centuries without basic hygiene maintenance while remaining pristine.

Even so, Lynx still genuinely enjoyed the simple, luxurious feeling of hot water cascading over his skin.

He stepped into the massive marble shower of his VIP suite, letting the high-pressure streams wash over his broad shoulders and muscular frame.

After a relaxing ten minutes under the indoor rain system, he stepped out, dried off with a soft towel, and dressed in a fresh.

Perfectly fitted dark elite student uniform that clung flawlessly to his towering six-foot-two physique.

With a subtle mental command, he activated Instant Teleportation.

In the blink of an eye, the familiar interior of Room 15 vanished, and Lynx materialized smoothly onto the polished stone pavement right outside the entrance of the Year 4 Girls Building.

Standing near the grand, arched double doors was Eleanor Haleborn.

She looked breathtaking. Her golden Year 4 Queen uniform fit her slender yet voluptuous frame to absolute perfection, her long purple hair caught the morning breeze, and the golden sigil on her forehead pulsed with aristocratic dignity.

When she saw Lynx appear out of thin air right in front of her, a faint, imperceptible sigh of relief escaped her lips.

"You really treat this your teleportation power like stepping through a doorway, don’t you?"

Eleanor remarked, crossing her arms as she looked him up and down with sharp, assessing eyes.

"Saves a lot of walking," Lynx smiled smoothly, closing the distance between them. "Thanks for bailing me out, Queen."

"Don’t flatter yourself," Eleanor scoffed lightly, though a subtle flush warmed her cheeks under the influence of his Eternal Charm. "Amelia is not someone you keep waiting. If you piss her off, even your ridiculous growth won’t save you from getting locked in the spire’s lowest disciplinary dungeons. Walk with me."

As they began making their way across the sweeping elevated walkways toward the Central Spire, Lynx chuckled, stuffing his hands casually into his pockets.

"You know, yesterday was an absolute circus," Lynx said conversationally. "I tried to visit the classes just to pay my respects, and literally every single professor chased me out."

Eleanor raised an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement crossing her stern features.

"Oh? I heard rumors. Let me guess—Rose threw you out because you were distracting her students?"

"Rose, Selene, Brutus, Jace... all of them," Lynx laughed. "Selene didn’t even let me step through the door before she slammed it shut.

Jace looked like he was having flashbacks to the ascension trial. Brutus practically screamed at me to get out of his cavern."

Eleanor couldn’t help it; a genuine, melodic laugh escaped her lips. "You humiliated the entire faculty during your first proper month, Lynx. What did you honestly expect? They have egos to maintain."

Just then, Lynx’s hPhone buzzed sharply in his pocket.

He pulled it out and glanced at the screen. A new message had just arrived from Professor Mira.

Professor Mira: "Azarion. You completely skipped my wind lecture this morning. Care to explain why my favorite student wasn’t in his seat?"

Lynx typed back a quick reply with a smirk.

Lynx: "Extremely sorry, Professor. Got a mandatory summons from Headmistress

Amelia. Couldn’t skip it even if I wanted to."

Professor Mira: "The Headmistress?! Oh, goddess... Lynx, listen to me very carefully. Amelia is terrifying. Do not talk back to her, do not flirt with her like you do with everyone else, and behave yourself in her office, or she will literally freeze you into a statue. Good luck."

Lynx chuckled softly, locking his phone and sliding it away.

Eleanor glanced sideways at him, catching the tail end of his amusement. "Who was that? One of your little fan clubs?"

"Professor Mira," Lynx grinned. "She was just warning me to behave myself in front of the Headmistress and not talk back."

Eleanor let out a soft snort of disbelief. "A professor is texting you personal warnings? Unbelievable. You’ve somehow managed to hook half the academy faculty and all the top girls in record time, haven’t you?"

"I have a certain charm," Lynx teased smoothly.

"You have a dangerous mouth," Eleanor corrected, though her eyes were shining with undeniable fondness.

They finally reached the outer perimeter of the Central Spire—a colossal tower of black metal and crystal that pierced the sky above the academy, guarded by seven layers of invisible anti-scrying barriers and heavy spatial wards.

Eleanor led him up a grand, spiral staircase to the restricted threshold of the seventh-floor executive corridor. At the very end of the long, silent hallway stood a heavy, reinforced door carved from obsidian marble.

This was it.

Eleanor stopped right in front of the threshold, turning to face Lynx. Her expression turned serious, the playful teasing vanishing entirely as she reached up, gently adjusting the collar of his jacket.

"This is as far as could go for now," Eleanor said quietly, her purple eyes locking onto his heterochromatic gaze. "Be careful in there, Lynx. Headmistress Amelia is the direct younger sister to the Emperor and one of the three strongest monsters in the entire empire. She doesn’t play games."

Lynx caught her hand, pulling her slightly closer. Instead of nodding, he leaned down and pressed a deep, lingering kiss directly onto her lips.

Eleanor’s breath hitched sharply, her eyes widening in surprise as the sudden, intense warmth of his touch flooded her senses. Before she could recover from the shock, Lynx pulled back with a devilish, confident smirk.

"That," Lynx whispered close to her ear, his deep voice vibrating softly, "is how you kiss your man properly."

A dark, violent crimson flush instantly exploded across Eleanor’s flawless face. Her mouth opened to form a sharp retort, but her vocal cords completely failed her, she was rendered entirely speechless by his shameless audacity.

Chuckling softly at her flustered expression, Lynx turned on his heel.

He raised his hand, took a steady breath, and knocked three solid times against the heavy obsidian door of the Headmistress’s office.

Inside, a low, commanding voice echoed sharply through the wood.

"Come in."

Without a moment of hesitation, Lynx gripped the handle, pushed the heavy door open, and stepped straight into the darkness.
