Chapter 1207: [Spatial Restoration], The Beginning of the Worldwide Catastrophe
Day 383 - 7:52 AM - Park Area, Northwest Section, Yeongdo Walled City, Yeongdo District, Busan
Kang Ye-Jun and his entourage arrived at Mark’s request. At the same time, Kang Ye-Jun carried a handheld military radio, listening to the broadcast while on the move.
The voice on the radio was giving instructions about an incoming emergency. Nonetheless, it failed to relay what specific emergency was happening.
Before the group could reach Mark, the radio transmission cut off.
"What the heck?" Park Sung-Min suddenly bellowed. "They gave out instructions, but it’s all too vague! What emergency are they even talking about?"
The group stopped quite a distance away from Mark, all appalled by the radio transmission severely lacking in details.
"It’s on purpose."
Mark’s voice echoed among the group, making them look in his direction. Of course, Mark did not even move from the bench, but his voice could reach their ears. It was like the previous instances.
"What are you guys stopping for?" Kim Yong-Hwa, who had been present near Mark since earlier, called out. "Sir Mark seems to know about what is happening! Come here already!"
Except for Amaya Ran, the rest were a little surprised. Nonetheless, they hurried up.
Only then did the rest of the group notice several human-sized holes floating in empty space nearby. Of course, it caused another wave of surprise and confusion.
"Don’t worry about these and listen closely."
Mark said, beckoning the group.
As the group gathered, Mark shared the summary of what was happening. Specifically, the so-called [Spatial Restoration] and its immediate effects, which could cause the entire Yeongdo Walled City to vanish if not stopped properly.
"Earthquake and tsunami, you say?" Kang Ye-Jun said with a frown. "Again?"
"Don’t forget the severe winds and possible weather disturbance. The tsunami will also likely bring all sorts of things from underwater, so prepare for new kinds of monstrous creatures."
Mark added
Those words put everyone in a state of dilemma.
"No, we don’t have to worry about the tsunami," Choi Seo-Yeon said. "Lady Seolhee will definitely deal with it like the last time. The only problem we have to deal with is the other effects."
"Don’t worry about the sea creatures," Mark said, making the rest turn to him once more. "I already gave my word last night that I will deal with the dangers coming from the mainland, and it includes the creatures swept over there. You guys can help, but you should prioritize the safety of everyone instead."
"True!" Kim Yong-Gyu said in agreement. "Our houses won’t be able to withstand another earthquake, so we should gather them all here in the park."
"Also get rain and snow gear, or any thick blankets and fire sources we can use." Choi Seo-Yeon added. "If Lady Seolhee was to stop the tsunami using the same method as before, we are bound to have another couple of freezing days."
"Alright, gather everything and everyone. Quick." Kang Ye-Jun ordered his team. "We only have a little more than an hour or so. Get everything ready!"
Mark watched the Korean group move about, preparing for the incoming catastrophe. As for his group, those with tasks had already left, while the rest were inside the shack behind him, having breakfast.
It was early in the morning, after all. Afterwards, they would also send breakfast to Emika and the rest who had already left for the tasks given to them. A catastrophe might be coming, but Mark had no intention of leaving his members with an empty stomach.

Day 383 - 7:53 AM - Mountain Base, Mount Malabito, General Nakar, Province of Quezon
At the mountain base, the people began their preparations after Hannah arrived and Odelina relayed the news to everyone.
Fortunately, due to the efforts of everyone led by Mark, this place was one of the safest places on earth at the moment. Even the incoming catastrophe was unlikely to affect it too much.
Nonetheless, they could not be careless. The earthquake would still be felt here, and the possible weather disturbance would still affect the place. They had to be ready for unexpected occurrences.
As for Jaeya, she succeeded in establishing the telepathic network, connecting her to Mark’ group and everyone he sent to other locations. With this, there would be no delay in communication in case something unexpected happened.

Day 383 - 7:54 AM - Purok Balobo, General Nakar, Province of Quezon
The survivors from Infanta were now settled in this mountain, which had some ruins of a small barangay. Since the area was slightly flatter than the surrounding areas, the resettlement was going smoother than expected.
Nonetheless, they were still far from being able to call it a proper survivor settlement. After all, it has not been too long since they moved here.
But their work this morning was interrupted by Annica’s sudden arrival. And it only meant one thing. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ
The catastrophe they were informed of several days ago was coming.
Everyone could only stop the building efforts and focus on everyone’s safety, including the magical creatures now working with them.
It was unfortunate, but despite these meager preparations, they hoped to withstand the incoming danger.

Day 383 - 7:55 AM - Milaviga, Caramoran, Catanduanes
In the middle of the mountains in the municipality of Caramoran, a newly established settlement could now be found.
It was where the rebels of Catanduanes moved their base after the [Fortuneteller] sensed the incoming danger, along with the warning they anonymously received.
And now, everyone was preparing for the incoming danger after the [Fortuneteller] foretold that it would happen soon enough.
They began tying anything that could move and fall, while making sure they had enough empty space safe enough to gather in.
Unbeknownst to them, a little girl clad in mourning clothing and a slime-like creature in mist form were watching them from the sky.
As Mark had ordered, Azra, the [Death Spirit] and Crimson, the [Miasma Bloodchild], paired up to observe and save the people here in case something went wrong.

Day 383 - 7:56 AM - Corregidor Military Settlement, Corregidor Island, Cavite
In the military settlement of Corregidor Island, an immediate, massive evacuation was commencing.
It seemed they were informed of the situation in one way or another. The likelihood of the source of the news being the CNC was very high.
Of course, it was a good thing.
By the looks of it, they made some preparations too, albeit lacking in time. Sandbags were built outside the inner walls in hopes of dampening the impact of the tsunami on the walls. After all, the tsunami would definitely bring all sorts of debris that could damage and potentially destroy the inner walls of the settlement.
Next, the gates of the inner walls were opened for everyone to enter. While survival was still not guaranteed within the walls once the catastrophe came, it was still way better than randomly running outside.
The survivors living in the outer areas were now entering the gates in a frenzy. Fortunately, the military settlement was still here to keep everything in check, or else the evacuation alone would cause numerous casualties.
"Why can’t they keep calm?"
Those were the words of Amihan as she watched the situation below from the sky.
But this time, there was no [Sylph] in sight, but a young girl in her teens in white clothes floating midair.
Unfortunately, the job this time would be too taxing for Amihan’s small body. That was why, in preparation, she channeled the powers of the late Goddess of the Wind in here, allowing her to temporarily gain this form, ready to wield the power of a Goddess anytime needed.

Day 383 - 7:57 AM - Reclaimed City, Tokyo, Japan
Several weeks after the disaster caused by Gar’Vlam and the [Pseudo-Orochi], the survivors of Japan were on track to recover. With the help of connections with the CNC and now the allied Japan branch of [Auraboros], the rebuilding was faster.
But today, the rebuilding efforts were paused for obvious reasons.
The Priestess, who now held the epithets of [Hopesinger], the one who sings of hope, sat at the center of an open prayer stage of a newly built temple. Surrounding her were dozens of priests and shrine maidens, all ready to commence the ritual of protection.
Around the temple, the survivors of Tokyo sat in prayer. The prayer this time would not just be the efforts of the temple, but also the survivors who had gone through thick and thin.
Emika, who had arrived earlier, watched the scene while waiting in the shadows. She could not help but spot the members of Ren’s group due to their uniforms. Unfortunately, she had no reason to approach them immediately. She could only observe as Mark ordered.
"Oh."
Emika voiced as she noticed the Priestess looking at her. She could only smile and slightly bow in greeting, which the Priestess returned.
"It’s really hard to hide around people of Uncle’s level, huh?"
Emika murmured as she found a place to sit down comfortably while watching.

Day 383 - 9:35 AM - Country Borders, Earth
Nearly two hours passed after the announcement.
And as such, [Heavenly Horns] echoed from the sky across the world, signalling the commencement of the [Spatial Restoration].
THOOOOOOM!!!
An unexplainable energy enveloped Earth, which could be felt even by the numbest person alive.
Then came the shaking. It was not an earthquake, but space itself vibrating.
At the borders of each country, the large [Spatial Rifts] began shifting in a way they were not supposed to. Originally, these rifts looked like large spiraling portals. Now, they were turning into something that could only be described as crumpled paper.
Slowly, the crumpled rifts began to shrink, and the broken spaces were being connected once more.
But along the shrinking rifts, the effects on the surroundings and the world were intensifying.
BOOOM!!!
The space seemed to have exploded, releasing a strong shockwave along the country borders.
Following the shockwave, the rifts vanished, and space itself was finally repaired.
But it was just the start.
The reconnected seas rumbled, the reconnected skies grew violent, the reconnected lands shook.
ROOOAR!!!
The first to come were the earthquakes. Everything began to sway violently. Poorly made shacks and already damaged ruins immediately collapsed.
Large trees swayed, with some getting uprooted.
Landslides, rockslides, and avalanches happened across the globe.
WOOOOOOSHHH!!!
The wind also began picking up. The clouds in the sky began moving erratically.
Since the stalled weather systems finally moved, the stagnation caused rapid weather instabilities.
Tornadoes began forming, even in places they were not supposed to.
Thunderstorms roared, with lightning frequently connecting the earth and the sky.
Rainstorms began to appear in the open seas, threatening every country in their paths.
And the stalled winter arrived, raining snow in the barren winterlands.
RUMBLE!!! CRASH!!!
Finally, the tides began to pull away from the coasts. The sign of the incoming tidal waves began.
From the restored borders, the waves crashed against each other, as if gathering their might before spreading out to hit the coasts.
And soon enough, the towering waves coming from the sea could be seen from the coastal areas.
No waves were the same size. In some areas, it was just a few meters tall, while in others, it was dozens of meters.
The size and strength of the tidal wave appeared to be influenced by how large and wide the country was, and how far the country’s borders were from the coast. The further the border, the more the wave picked up its strength.
Odd and extremely threatening disasters began, one after another. Most of which did not make sense to those who witnessed them.
However, it was the result of mending damaged space itself, which would definitely not make sense either to the same people. Rather, the effects of an event that did not make sense, yet having sense felt like nonsense.
Now, the entire world had to bear the impact of this nonsensical catastrophe.
And obviously, more survivors would lose their homes and lives. Of course, it would be the same for the [Infected].
Most importantly, the aftermath of this event would surely lead to more kinds of mutations both among the [Infected] and the survivors.
