Ms. Tan Is The Real Boss

Chapter 1661: 1660 grand finale

Chapter 1661: 1660 grand finale

The holiday attracted a large crowd, turning the usual two-hour drive into an agonizing three and a half hours. If they hadn’t left early, they might not have made it to the wedding on time.

After arriving at the estate, Tan Rou couldn’t take a break either. She had to receive the guests, such as her old friends. These seniors were proud and would have been displeased if someone else had attended to them.

At eleven o’clock, Tan Rou disappeared from the wedding venue because she needed to change into another dress.

At twelve past noon, as the wedding march played, a handsome groom in a suit stepped onto the stage.

After asking a few simple questions, the officiant said: “Now, let’s have our dashing groom call out to our beautiful bride. Groom, how do you plan to call her out?”

Zhuang Liu’s face was brimming with a smile he couldn’t hide. Blushing, he said: “Wife, would you like to come out?”

The door opened, and the bride slowly walked towards the groom, accompanied by her father, a smile also on her face.

Father Tao took his daughter’s hand, then took his son-in-law’s hand, saying with great reluctance: “I’m entrusting my precious daughter to you, you must take good care of her.”

Zhuang Liu nodded solemnly, “Dad, I will definitely take good care of Tan Rou.”

The wedding reached its climax when it was time for the bride and groom to exchange rings. They had crafted these rings themselves, participating in every step from design to production.

The officiant first asked Zhuang Liu: “Mr. Zhuang Liu, do you take Miss Tan Rou to be your wife? Whether she is rich or poor, beautiful or otherwise, do you pledge to love her forever?”

“I do,” Zhuang Liu said passionately. “I will love her for this lifetime, the next, and every lifetime after that, forever and ever.”

The same question was then asked of Tan Rou, and her response matched Zhuang Liu’s, vowing to be together forever.

The officiant was very pleased and said with a smile: “Excellent, now the bride and groom may exchange rings.”

Zhuang Liu and Tan Rou slid the rings onto each other’s ring fingers. From now on, they could be openly together. She was his wife, and he was her husband.

“Very good, now our groom may kiss the bride,” said the officiant, stirring up excitement by adding an impromptu step to the proceedings. “The guests may applaud. As long as your applause continues, they must continue.”

Zhuang Liu, wary that Tan Rou might not enjoy public displays of affection, was about to say “let’s forget it,” when he saw her smile at him.

Immediately understanding Tan Rou’s cue, Zhuang Liu gently pressed his lips to hers, a soft yet persistent kiss that lasted until the last person stopped clapping.

After the ceremony, Tan Rou and Zhuang Liu immediately went to change into more casual clothing, making it easier to move around the wedding venue and toast the guests.

“Congratulations to you both,” said Hang Wei, deeply moved. “Our boss is finally married. At first, I thought she’d spend her life with her research findings. Never expected her to get married.”

Tan Rou couldn’t help but retort, “I am human, not a machine.”

“I know, I know,” Hang Wei raised his glass, “To the boss, and the boss’s husband, congratulations. Happy marriage and, by the way, may you have children soon!”

Tan Rou and Zhuang Liu toasted together, “Thank you for your blessings.”

The banquet went from eight in the morning to eight at night, with guests arriving continuously. Tan Rou and Zhuang Liu didn’t necessarily have to greet each guest, but they had to see them off from the estate when they left. By the end of the wedding, both were so exhausted they had no strength left. Once back at their new home, they simply collapsed onto the bed.

“Zhuang Liu, I’m really happy,” Tan Rou couldn’t help saying, “Meeting you is my greatest happiness.”

Zhuang Liu turned, took her hand, and said: “Meeting you is my greatest happiness, too.”

Tan Rou turned to lie on her side, her eyes gazing into Zhuang Liu’s. “I love you, husband.”

Zhuang Liu smiled back, “I love you, wife.”

Fireworks lit up outside, a celebration of the new year. A new year, a new beginning, and a lifetime still ahead, their beautiful life had just begun.
