Just then, a squad of guards suddenly burst in and headed straight toward Tan Rou. Tan Rou thought it was that noble son’s father coming to settle accounts with her and was ready to fight again when the leading guard spoke.

“Miss Rou, I apologize for the disturbance today. We are here by His Majesty the King’s command to escort you back to the palace. Please come with us,” the lead guard said.

Tan Rou nodded slightly, “Alright, let’s go.”
