He turned and looked around. Where did the woman go?

She ran over and held Shao Yibai’s hand. Then, she complained in a low voice, “Why did you meet a crazy woman? Why did she start a fight all of a sudden?”

Shao Yibai’s mind was somewhere else entirely. He calmly pulled his arms away from Yuan Ran’s hands, turned around and said to Yuan Xuan, “Let’s go! It seems like my trip to Luo Hai was not wasted. I won’t be leaving anytime soon!”

Yuan Xuan revealed a meaningful smile towards the direction where Shu Qingcheng escaped. He sighed in his heart when he saw the ruthless smile on Shao Yibai’s face.

Initially, he was never going to get involved in or give opinions on what happened between Shao Yibai and Yuan Ran. However, the Old Mistress secretly found out that there was something wrong between him and Yuan Tangzhong. Therefore, she wanted to make use of Yuan Ran to strengthen their relationship with the Shao Family. Nonetheless, her plan will most probably not succeed.

The five of them returned to the mansion.

Mu Chenyan and Yuan Tian noted clearly that Shao Yibai was not in his right mind after Shu Qingcheng escaped. This neither angelic or evil successor of the Shao Family rarely showed a hint of seriousness. On their way back, he stopped telling jokes to her and Yuan Tian. His attitude towards Yuan Ran was neither hot or cold. He remained silent for the entire ride.

They both did not know who the woman was and Mu Chenyan was not in the right position to ask. Once they got into the car, Yuan Tian could not care less and she pestered Yuan Xuan for the whole story.

“Who is that woman? Is that Brother Yibai’s dream lover or the descendant of his arch enemy? Perhaps, that woman is his long lost sister?”

Yuan Xuan smiled when he looked at Yuan Tian through the back mirror, “If you would stop filling your tiny little brain with all these bizarre thoughts, maybe the Yuan Family could save a little more money!”

Mu Chenyan was taken by surprise and she was amused. She did not think that Yuan Xuan would make a joke. Usually, he always treated Yuan Tian fiercely like a strict father. However, he looked like a loving brother now!
