Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 679 A Sinful Wooden Horse
At this moment, Tyson Law was holding a beauty in his arms, yet his eyes were filled with confusion, devoid of any interest in flirting, as if the nightclub princess had forced him to play.
“Oh my, Young Master Law, you’re not looking at Lily anymore.”
Tyson Law raised his head drowsily. His once handsome and bright features had somehow become much thinner, still attractive but appearing somewhat disheveled and weary. The expensive clothes couldn’t hide the fragility within him.
“Don’t make noise, let me be quiet for a while!”
Tyson Law furrowed his brows, picked up the goblet in front of him, without having any beauty feed him, stood up on his own, and drank one cup after another.
As if alcohol could numb all his pain.
Why?
Why had he become like this?
Looking around the entire private room, Tyson felt that amidst all the luxury, there was a nearly rotting smell, which made him uncomfortable, yet he didn’t know how to express his heart to others.
Unintentionally, he was drawn to a simple wooden carved horse on the shelf of the private room.
“Young Master Law, why are you daydreaming again? Oh, what’s the appeal of this little wooden horse, let Lily and I serve you instead.”
The nightclub lady in thin gauze intentionally approached Tyson Law, bent down, revealing a breathtaking cleavage, which would have made any lustful veteran lose their composure.
But even while Tyson had used such affairs to numb himself, the pain in his heart hadn’t lessened; it had only increased.
—He didn’t understand why Fiona Vaughn would betray him?
He treated Fiona Vaughn so well, after being with her, he had put away all improper thoughts, dedicating himself solely to her.
Why did Fiona Vaughn still feel dissatisfied?
Station Director Alden of ASC could only offer her minor entertainment resources, and besides that, his overall demeanor, appearance, and age were far inferior to Tyson. Why would Fiona Vaughn compromise herself with such a greasy middle-aged man?
Was it that he wasn’t good enough to Fiona Vaughn, or was it that Fiona’s desires were endless?
Clearly, whatever Fiona Vaughn desired, be it fine clothes or jewelry, or even roles she wished to play in the entertainment world, Tyson Law would strive to obtain for her.
Even without Station Director Alden of ASC as an intermediary, Fiona Vaughn would still thrive in the entertainment world, only her resources might be slightly less abundant.
Could it be that, to Fiona Vaughn, his sincere heart couldn’t compare to the allure of stardom?
…
Tyson Law felt like his heart was being gnawed by thousands of ants. Looking at the little wooden horse before him, he inexplicably recalled Cecilia Vaughn’s coldly elegant face.
In high school, Cecilia Vaughn dared not ride horses, but Tyson Law loved the thrill of wearing riding uniforms and galloping across the grass, so he brought Cecilia along to learn horseback riding.
That day coincidentally, there was a craftsman selling wooden carvings, including a small horse. Cecilia liked it but didn’t mention wanting to buy it.
Eventually, Tyson Law secretly bought it and gifted it to Cecilia.
Later on, where did that little wooden horse end up?
…
Overwhelmed with sorrow, Tyson Law vaguely remembered, it was on a sunny afternoon when he saw Fiona Vaughn beside the classroom trash can.
Fiona Vaughn timidly retrieved the little wooden horse from the trash, speaking in panic.
—Tyson, my sister discarded the wooden horse you gifted her; she doesn’t like such cheap things. Please remember this next time, okay?
—I really like my sister’s wooden horse. If possible, can I take it home to cherish it? Please don’t tell my sister.
…
Back then Tyson Law couldn’t discern whether his heart was hurting or disappointed, he never imagined Cecilia Vaughn to be such a woman.
Yet Cecilia Vaughn, at the handcraft shop behind the racetrack, had shown genuine fondness for the wooden horse; it didn’t look faked.
Tyson Law couldn’t suppress the urge to ask questions arising from his restlessness, eventually visiting the Vaughn Family villa one day.
Seeing Cecilia’s empty tabletop, he casually mentioned.
—Cecilia, where’s the little wooden horse I gifted you last time? Why isn’t it here?
Cecilia paused, then responded with embarrassment.
—I… One of the maids accidentally broke the wooden horse while cleaning last time, and I had no choice but to throw it away. I’m sorry, Tyson, I should have asked for your opinion first, but the horse was shattered, almost beyond repair. You were preparing for a competition, I didn’t want to affect your mood, so I didn’t mention it, and later forgot. I truly apologize.
…
Cecilia spoke sincerely, every word seeming truthful.
Yet Tyson remembered seeing the intact wooden horse at the school trash can yesterday, along with Fiona Vaughn’s innocent and sorrowful eyes, instantly deducing that Cecilia was lying.
—Clearly, the wooden horse was perfectly fine. It was discarded by Cecilia because she thought it was too cheap, worth only a few bucks, but in the end, she pushed the blame onto the maid!
…
Perhaps it was from that moment Tyson felt that his girlfriend was different from what he imagined.
And maybe it was from then Fiona Vaughn started appearing around him, cheerful and lovable, contrasting Cecilia’s slightly prideful demeanor, lacking any arrogance of a young lady and displaying gentle shyness, her gaze was filled with twinkling stars.
From then on, had he already begun falling into the gentle trap set by Fiona Vaughn?
…
Tyson Law chuckled bitterly, could it be that he really should suspect a teenage Fiona Vaughn of being so cunning?
His eyes tingled with emotion, tapping his forehead with his fingers, appearing distant.
“Young Master Law, oh dear, why are you staring at that wooden horse again? What’s so interesting about it?”
The nightclub girl, who called herself Lily, nestled against Tyson Law, trying to offer her seductive lips.
And Tyson Law was too dazed to push her away, just as they were about to embrace, he heard his phone vibrating incessantly.
…
Who is killing the mood?
Lily felt annoyed.
The woman persistently clung to the man’s arm, but Tyson directly pushed her away, checked his phone, discovering a message from Fiona Vaughn, intending to dismiss it.
Yet suddenly noticed the names Tyson Law and Cecilia Vaughn.
…
The man’s previously forlorn eyes abruptly sharpened, then inch by inch, froze into ice.
“Charge it to my account.”
Tyson Law suddenly grabbed his coat, pushed away the two beautiful women without looking back, and drove directly to the Law Family’s old mansion.
