Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 656: A Man's True Nature
Cecilia Vaughn had just finished those tasks and was feeling a bit thirsty. She picked up the cup beside her, ready to take a sip, but was suddenly stopped by Adrian Law.
“Cecilia, that’s mine…”
The man, with a playful smile, stared at Cecilia Vaughn. Feeling defiant, she simply drank from Adrian Law’s cup.
“So what if I drink a couple of sips of your water? Why not?”
“It’s not that you can’t…”
Adrian Law dragged out his words, his tone layered with meaning as if Cecilia was a sulking child.
“But I seem to remember someone saying not long ago that they disliked me. Now you seem to have a special liking for my cup? Don’t you think it’s indirectly…”
“…”
“Wouldn’t it be better to keep quiet?”
Feeling exhausted.
Cecilia Vaughn gulped down the tea in the cup and reluctantly explained.
“I don’t dislike you, just thought you were too charming, yet after going abroad, how come I became popular?”
“…”
Now it was Adrian Law’s turn to be speechless.
The man let out a low cough.
“Actually, since getting off the car, you’ve been so annoyed that you didn’t notice several people were looking at you.”
“Really?”
Cecilia was full of doubt. But indeed, she was pondering on how to strike back at that woman at the time.
Thinking it over, she decided to compare on INS, and as for discovering the other’s infidelity, that was just an added bonus.
Cecilia had always disliked men and women who were married yet had no boundaries, especially when that woman was eying Adrian Law!
She was right next to Adrian Law, couldn’t the woman at least take her feelings into account?
…
“You just didn’t notice.”
Adrian Law said casually, taking the cup from Cecilia, refilling it with tea.
He had no qualms about drinking from the same spot Cecilia had just used.
Cecilia hadn’t thought much of it initially.
But seeing Adrian Law sharing the same cup now made her inexplicably warm.
She felt a little guilty, wanting to snatch the cup back.
“I already said it’s mine.”
Cecilia used too much force, and without being careful, spilled the tea over both their clothes and it trickled down.
Luckily, the tea was just warm, not hot enough to burn, otherwise it would have scorched them both quite badly.
“Clumsy.”
Adrian Law shook his head helplessly, grabbed a pack of tissues from the table, and without caring that his own clothes were also dirty, leaned down to wipe Cecilia first.
…
The man half-knelt, his warm breath cascading down Cecilia’s front through her collar.
“This part is dirty too…”
He murmured as he began to wipe Cecilia’s knee.
While wiping with the tissue, Adrian inevitably applied some pressure, making Cecilia feel sensitive. It was as if a gentle touch at the edge made her instinctively recoil.
“It tickles… Let me do it.”
If it weren’t for the fact that she spilled the tea herself, Cecilia almost suspected whether he was doing it on purpose.
Because it was really uncomfortable…
Even though it was just wiping.
Until Adrian lifted her skirt, trying to move upwards, Cecilia finally realized something was off.
“What are you doing… There’s nothing dirty there…”
“Really?”
Adrian flashed a smile, suddenly standing up slowly, and just as Cecilia was about to breathe a sigh of relief, she saw him start unbuttoning his shirt.
“Hey…”
“My shirt’s soaked too, it’s uncomfortable. Would you help me wipe it off?”
“Why don’t you go wash?”
Cecilia rolled her eyes, casually grabbing a cushion and tossing it at Adrian’s feet.
“Isn’t washing together more water-saving?”
Adrian said, his words making one’s face blush, yet his tone was so earnest, as if he were genuinely advocating for some water-saving measure.
…
“Shameless…”
Cecilia lowered her head slightly, afraid to meet Adrian’s eyes.
“How is washing with my wife together shameless?”
The man feigned confusion, his voice deep and husky, but his long, bright eyes were full of teasing.
…
Cecilia finally couldn’t sit still any longer and wanted to find a quiet place for a moment.
But Adrian had other plans, pulling the girl back into his arms.
“Trying to leave without wiping me off, huh? You spilled it, you can’t just walk away.”
“…”
Cecilia was at her wit’s end.
“I’ll compensate, alright?”
“And how will you do that?”
Cecilia’s collar was also wet, and from Adrian’s angle, her graceful figure was undeniably alluring.
Adrian’s eyes darkened, his voice taking on a suggestive tone.
“Cecilia, I think giving yourself to me is compensation enough.”
“Don’t you agree?”
Before she could reply, Adrian quickly pinned her down on the tatami mat.
As the world spun, Cecilia’s hair tie came loose, letting her hair flow freely like a beautiful painting.
“I have work! I said I’d go to the police station… Mmm…”
“The current task is most important… No rush, the police station can wait until tomorrow.”
The man let out a soft sigh, pressing her slender arms to the sides as if in reverence.
…
The velvet curtains could be controlled automatically, though Cecilia wasn’t sure what Adrian pressed.
Suddenly, the luxurious velvet curtains drew together.
The room, with no lights on, became very dim.
“Get up…”
Doing this in broad daylight felt so sinful.
Moreover… they had just gotten off the plane and hadn’t even rested properly—it was baffling how Adrian had so much energy?
She really wanted to sleep.
…
It was as if Adrian detected Cecilia’s drowsiness, letting out a low laugh, tracing her collarbone, pressing it lightly, leaving some lingering red marks.
“Cecilia, didn’t you say it’s daytime? Why are you yawning? Is it that tiring?”
“Perhaps I should give you a massage?”
…
Like anyone would believe that!
You’re so sly, you old fox!
Uh… no, Adrian doesn’t seem to relate to an old fox at all. Even in his later years, judging by Stacy Summers, he’d probably still be sprightly, with a charisma that ordinary young people couldn’t match.
…
The weather in Zentaria was still quite warm, and Cecilia was dressed lightly. She could feel Adrian’s hands exploring with a noticeable presence through the thin fabric.
“Stop it… Mmm… No…”
“No what?”
The man asked knowingly, pulling her even closer.
The overwhelming darkness isolated all light.
Cecilia could only just make out Adrian’s handsome silhouette.
Her heart pounded fiercely…
