Cecilia shouted and quickly seized the old man’s hand, twisting his arm behind his back and pinning it on the table.

"You really enjoy teasing young girls, don’t you?"

Originally, she had given the old man a way out, trying to turn a big issue into something minor, but this man named Zane truly touched the deepest reverse scale in Cecilia’s heart.

Even if Cecilia didn’t want to recall it, the scene from her engagement party in the dressing room three years ago seemed inescapable.

She was pinned on the table by that shameless son of the former board member of Stellerton University. Because there was still some influence from the drug in her system, even moving and resisting required tremendous effort.

...

That day was the most desperate day of Cecilia’s life.

Even though she no longer loved that jerk Tyson, her former first love, her belief and light shattered so easily.

Cecilia once was a pampered young lady who never lifted a finger. Although Gregory didn’t spoil or love her, the family had a maid at the very least. This was the legacy left from Cecilia’s maternal grandfather, and Gregory wouldn’t let her be unable to afford education, nor let others laugh at the family to the point of having a child cook.

...

Cecilia once didn’t even dare to kill a chicken. She considered herself squeamish about blood and even fainted once due to anemia and low blood sugar during an injection, so the doctor cautiously advised her to avoid scenarios with blood in the future.

But on the night of the engagement party, with nowhere to escape, she smashed the former board member’s son’s head with a floor lamp.

The man died.

His eyes bulged wide open, and the blood seemed to blossom like a mandrake flower from hell, strangely gorgeous and intense.

Cecilia stared at the pool of blood, unable to move.

This became Cecilia’s eternal nightmare.

It’s something she can’t forget for the rest of her life.

...

This old man named Zane’s behavior undoubtedly dragged Cecilia back into her past psychological shadows.

She couldn’t stand other men touching her.

Not even Adrian.

Their consummation was repeatedly delayed because she was so distressed by her inability to have intimate contact with a man. It was Adrian who patiently told her with love that he didn’t mind waiting.

That man brought warmth to her heart with love.

But this didn’t mean Cecilia was willing to engage in more physical contact with others.

Even with people of the same gender, she had certain barriers.

Except for people like Mona and Bella, with whom she was already familiar, Cecilia was unwilling to have much physical contact with other girls.

People who live in a bright world definitely can’t imagine how terrifying the days of imprisonment can be.

Sometimes, the darkness wasn’t even from the heartless male jailors—female inmates who hadn’t had an intimate encounter with a man for a long time or were bisexual or homosexual, just saw a beautiful celibate like Cecilia and thought of her as a desire to feed.

Such an idea wasn’t based on Cecilia’s consent; rather, they merely wanted to use her as a tool to satiate physiological needs.

Of course, Cecilia was unwilling.

After a scuffle with a female thug in prison that ended in a fight, Cecilia was locked up in a pitch-black solitary cell for three days and nights.

Cecilia didn’t know how she survived that period.

But when she thought about those days, she still felt chills down her spine.

Could you imagine a seemingly normal woman brushing slightly against your skin and even suggesting you become hers?

This wasn’t the harmless leg-pulling of a close friend in real life or an imaginary scenario, but an actual intent to use you as a plaything.

...

Cecilia didn’t discriminate against lesbians; she even didn’t discriminate against men liking men.

Through her own works, Cecilia felt there was no need to meddle in others’ worldviews and life perspectives, as long as they loved freely without threatening or harming others’ interests; everything else was personal freedom.

But Cecilia couldn’t accept being viewed as such by someone of the same gender, especially when she hadn’t consented.

...

Cecilia pinned the old man named Zane on the table, and before others could react, Cecilia kicked him viciously in the gut.

"Is it fun to bully people?"

That Zane’s eyes bulged, his fisheyes almost flaring with rage.

"You shameless bitch, let go of me now! Or I’ll make sure you have no place to be buried!"

"No place to be buried? Ha..."

Cecilia gazed coldly at the middle-aged man named Zane, as if she were looking at a dead man.

"Boss Zane, you might as well think about how to clean up after yourself!"

The greasy men who came with Zane into the box had not expected Cecilia to have such explosive power.

Although it seemed like Cecilia always avoided their indecent hands, most other girls did the same, merely saying a few strong words in defiance, which didn’t really matter.

Who could have predicted that Cecilia was actually a volcano, terrifying when she erupted?!

...

"You stupid pigs! Get over here and help me!"

Zane, smacked by Cecilia’s kick, was yelling out loud.

Though Cecilia appeared skinny with slender arms and legs, somehow, she applied considerable force, using precise strength; even a young lad couldn’t withstand such forceful moves, let alone a middle-aged man like Zane, who never exercised and had a body full of fat.

The bodyguards suddenly snapped to reality and attempted to step forward immediately.

But Cecilia grabbed Zane’s neck in her grasp.

"Stay back. I can’t guarantee how severe I’ll be. Maybe your boss doesn’t mind having a couple more scars on his face, considering he’s a man, but I suppose your boss wouldn’t want others know about his shameful actions today, right?"

"I vaguely checked before coming in, it seems Boss Zane’s nephew is also actively involved in politics, supporting him with a major land deal in the East District. Many are envious. What do you think your enemies would do if I spread today’s incident, hinting at collusion between officials and businessmen?"

...

"You dare! You have no evidence!"

Cecilia’s punch landed, causing the boss Zane, who was like a dead pig, to scream louder in pain.

"Waa! Please stop! Heroine, tough lady, I surrender, isn’t that good enough?"

As Boss Zane said this, his eyes sneakily drifted toward Cecilia’s brother, signaling his men to bind Evan.

However, Cecilia’s teammate wasn’t just a dumb pig. Cynthia, having already been shell-shocked by Cecilia’s actions on Boss Zane, reacted faster than anyone on Zane’s side, freeing Evan and rushing him out of the box.

Being a young woman working in Elysian Fields All-Nighter City, she was far more familiar with the layout here than those guys who came seeking fun.

"You useless trash! Block their way now!"
