Chapter 1063 - 1062: Anxious

The woman surnamed Feng left with Little Bao, and the whole Ford Family residence was in chaos, so of course no servants came to clean the guest room.

Even so, Finn Chandler still didn’t find any useful information in the room.

Fiona Ford had openly entered the Ford Family home with her people and stayed overnight there; they had anticipated a lot of the details.

They sent away the person in charge of the Ford Family, avoided the surveillance cameras, and left the Ford house at a precisely calculated time—there wasn’t a single flaw in any of it.

With nothing to show for it, Finn Chandler was utterly crushed. She sat on the sofa, staring blankly outside.

The phone had been ringing in her pocket several times, but she didn’t hear it.

"Finn."

Julian Ford’s voice came from the doorway, finally pulling her thoughts back.

"No leads. I must have missed something!"

Finn Chandler lifted her head and looked at Julian Ford, who had come over to her side.

Even if this man’s identity is fake, how could the police have absolutely no record of him? Is he supposed to be a dead man!

"Serena Sullivan’s calling."

Julian Ford took the ringing phone out of Finn Chandler’s pocket, tapped it open, and handed it to her.

"Serena!"

Hearing Serena Sullivan’s voice calling her, Finn Chandler lost control and tears fell down.

"Little Bao is missing."

As a mother, how could she not be falling apart!

Little Bao being taken also couldn’t be completely separated from her; she had provoked Fiona Ford, made Fiona furious, and driven her to extremes, going to great lengths to take Little Bao away.

"Finn Chandler, how exactly did Little Bao go missing?"

Julian Ford, standing beside her, saw how much she was hurting and crouched down, gripping her hands tightly.

Serena Sullivan was calling to have Finn Chandler go over the details of what happened again.

"Start from when Fiona Ford came back."

With no leads, the only thing they could do was sort out everything from beginning to end and see if any clues surfaced.

Finn Chandler took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down, and began with the day Fiona Ford returned.

On the phone, Finn spoke as slowly as she could, and anything she missed, Julian Ford filled in.

"The first time she came back and tried to be nice to you, she probably hadn’t fully worked out her plan yet."

"After all this time, she calculated everything, even picked out a boyfriend as part of it, then changed her face toward you—that shows she thought her plan was foolproof."

"Yes."

Finn Chandler answered, "I was careless."

She should have been on guard.

Yesterday, just from Fiona Ford’s attitude toward her, she should have realized Fiona hadn’t let go of the old grudges.

Since Fiona hadn’t let go, how could she have failed to remember to be cautious.

The more she thought, the more she felt she’d been in the wrong, and tears kept welling up in Finn’s eyes.

"Fiona Ford was scheming against you from the shadows—you couldn’t possibly guard against everything." Serena Sullivan tried to comfort her.

Fiona Ford had a grudge against Finn, but who would have imagined she’d be ruthless enough to go after a child!

It’s just—where did she find that man!

"I keep feeling her plan this time was too thorough."

Serena Sullivan’s voice over the phone was full of doubt.

"You’ve dealt with her before; her mind just isn’t that meticulous."

To Serena, this setup didn’t feel like something Fiona Ford put together on her own.

"But it really was her!"

Finn Chandler also found it strange; she kept feeling she’d overlooked something.

"Serena, let me think. I’m sure I missed something important!"

Finn said this and ended the call for now.

She put the phone aside, but nothing came to her. Frustrated, she covered her face with both hands.

"Don’t rush."

Julian Ford said, softening his voice.

"How can I not rush?" Finn Chandler burst into tears. "I don’t even know how Little Bao is right now!"
