Finn Chandler smiled. "Grandpa wants to see me—why would I be afraid to see him?"

"I’m the one who’s scared to see him."

Mr. Chambers said frankly, "You’ve been pretending to be Young Master Chambers for so many years, you practically made him die of rage."

"He didn’t just hit me, he cut off my financial support too."

Mr. Chambers had never seen the old man this furious.

Back when he was dating around and got his mistress pregnant, even when the mistress came to the door, he’d never seen the old man this mad.

This time, the old man was so angry he literally smashed up The Chambers Residence, and right there on the spot had someone call the people at the company to throw away all of Finn Chandler’s things.

"You got married, and he still refused to come."

"Maybe it’s because you gave the Ford Family a son."

Mr. Chambers muttered to himself.

A son really is pretty important to The Chambers Family.

After Mr. Chambers left, Finn Chandler fell into silence. She didn’t know if Old Master Chambers wanted to see her with some agenda in mind.

She had studied by his side for years, yet she still hadn’t seen through what kind of person he really was.

The Chambers Family is rotten on the inside, but as long as the old man is there, The Chambers Corporation won’t collapse, and the family won’t fall into chaos.

That’s the kind of power and authority he has.

Forget it, she didn’t want to overthink. She’d just take things one step at a time.

She was already married to Julian Ford; no matter how angry the old man was, there was nothing he could really do to her.

Serena Sullivan finally got Ethan Grant and the doctor’s permission to go to the postpartum care center next to the hospital to visit Finn Chandler.

The two of them hadn’t gone that long without seeing each other, but the moment they saw one another, their eyes turned red.

When Serena was at her worst, it was Finn Chandler and Anna Morgan who stayed with her.

Serena treats the two of them like family, like the most important people in her life.

"Serena!"

Seeing Serena, Finn Chandler was emotional too.

She’d had a brush with death and now knew how precious it was to be alive, which made her cherish the people who loved her even more.

"You just gave birth, you need to rest more."

Serena saw Finn Chandler trying to sit up and quickly spoke.

She herself had come today in a wheelchair; the doctor wouldn’t let her move around too much.

"You’re the one who needs that."

Finn Chandler replied, her eyes shining with tears. She glanced at Serena’s lower abdomen. "It’s wonderful."

Serena had clawed her way back from despair, and now she’d found love and had a child.

"You have to take good care of yourself too."

Finn Chandler said seriously, "You can’t suffer anymore."

It had only been about ten days since she’d last seen Serena, but Finn Chandler realized she’d really lost a noticeable amount of weight.

All at once it reminded Finn Chandler of the time Serena had first learned her legs were ruined—she’d stopped eating and drinking, and forced herself to lose around ten pounds.

Thankfully, thankfully, she hadn’t wasted back down to that state.

"Of course."

"I’ve already seen Little Treasure. He’s just as good-looking as Julian Ford."

Finn Chandler is beautiful, and Julian Ford is even more flawless.

There’s no way their child would turn out anything less than stunning.

"Mm, yeah."

Finn Chandler admitted.

The little guy still didn’t have a formal name. Mrs. Ford had brought over a whole list of names for her and Julian Ford to choose from.

The two of them picked and picked, and they were still stuck on three options.

But the nickname had long been decided.

Anna Morgan had come up with it.

Finn Chandler hadn’t objected; Little Treasure was a very nice name.

They sat together, chatting casually, and as they talked, naturally the topic shifted to Anna Morgan.

"Did Anna come by today?"

"She did. Then she ran over there to see Little Treasure again."

Anna Morgan was even more devoted to Little Treasure than his own mom. Ever since Carter Lockwood came back, she rushed to the hospital whenever she had a spare moment.

The two of them had asked Anna in the group chat whether something had happened.

Anna Morgan either said nothing was wrong, or she changed the subject to talk about something else.
