Fiona wanted to retreat to advance, hoping Julian would argue with Finn for her, but she unknowingly dug herself a hole.

Julian’s words, "I didn’t mean anything else," really hurt Fiona.

"Finn should not have hit you today. That was wrong."

"I apologize to you on her behalf."

Julian continued.

"No need, this has nothing to do with you."

"I only hope that you both can grow old together, loving each other deeply."

"Of course we will."

Julian quickly responded, "I can absolutely assure you of that, sister."

"In this life, I only love Finn."

As Julian spoke, he turned to look deeply at Finn, sending her heart racing. Seeing his handsome face, she couldn’t help herself from leaning over and giving him a quick kiss.

"Julian!"

Fiona clearly wasn’t looking for this answer; her voice softened.

Originally, her complaint transformed into Julian showcasing their love.

"Just make sure you treat Finn well, don’t be upset with her. She just cares too much about you."

Fiona continued dwelling on being hit by Finn.

"Alright!"

Julian replied swiftly, "I won’t be mad at her."

This wasn’t the answer Fiona was hoping for.

"Hmm!"

Fiona’s voice lowered, with a hint of gritted teeth.

She was provoked by Julian.

"Sister, Finn had her reasons for hitting you, I won’t be upset."

Julian said lightly again, "And I ask you not to waste your energy trying to stir trouble."

As Fiona attempted to find words to criticize Finn, Julian warned her in a calm tone.

"Julian, what do you mean by stirring trouble? I don’t understand your words."

Fiona cried in line with Julian’s words, "I don’t know what Finn has told you to make you see me this way."

"Yes, she hit me, that’s a fact, and of course, I’m upset."

"But, I never intended to affect your relationship."

"You must remember your words; don’t secretly plot against Finn anymore." Julian completely ignored Fiona’s tears and continued, "No matter how much you cry and attempt to sway my dad, it won’t work."

"Julian, what do you mean about swaying dad? Why do you see me like this!"

"Indeed, that’s exactly how I see you!"

"Fiona, I know exactly what you’re thinking. I called you to tell you not to interfere in our married life anymore, or else don’t blame me for not considering our shared past!"

Julian spoke with precision.

His words excited Finn; it didn’t matter if Fiona couldn’t hear her voice, no, she wanted Fiona to hear.

"Honey, you’re wonderful!"

Finn joyfully rewarded Julian with another kiss.

On the other side, Fiona likely didn’t anticipate Julian facing her sobbing and complaints with resistance, instead provoking her further.

She certainly didn’t expect Julian to be on speaker, with Finn sitting beside him, listening in.

"Finn, you both are too much."

Fiona couldn’t stand this humiliation, cried out, and hung up the phone.

Too much!

Finn didn’t think they went overboard.

It was Fiona who called Julian; Julian is her husband after all.

Besides, Julian is the one who said things that hurt Fiona, he is the one who crossed the line!

"Why are you so happy!"

Julian pulled the excited Finn who was hugging him down and asked indulgently.
