Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 1003 - 1002: Don’t Get Cocky
Julian Ford’s attitude towards Fiona Ford had already said it all, whether or not evidence was needed, it hardly mattered.
She had struck Fiona Ford, afraid that Fiona would strike back, so she deliberately brought up this matter to scare her!
"Finn Chandler, don’t be so smug!"
Fiona Ford, having fallen into Finn Chandler’s trap, wanted to catch up and slap him back, but this was The Ford Family’s home. If she missed the time to retaliate, it would be wrong to strike again.
She suppressed her anger, watched Finn Chandler’s departing figure, and said in a low voice, "Very soon, I will return to The Ford Family."
At dinner time, The Ford Corporation had some matters, so Julian Ford would return later. As a pregnant woman, Finn Chandler couldn’t go hungry. Wanting to wait for Julian Ford, she was "escorted" to the dining table by Mrs. Ford.
"There’s no need to wait for Julian."
Mrs. Ford said, gesturing for a servant to ladle a full bowl of chicken soup for Finn Chandler.
Smelling the fragrant chicken soup, Finn Chandler felt even hungrier.
The Ford Family’s chef was truly skilled, able to create dozens of flavors from a single chicken soup. It was so delicious that every time she smelled it, she wanted to have some.
Thinking about what Serena Sullivan said about being "plump," Finn Chandler secretly touched her own face, really noticing she had gained a lot of weight, so should she drink this bowl of soup or not?
"What’s wrong? Isn’t today’s soup to your taste?"
Mrs. Ford looked at Finn Chandler, who had been staring at the soup for a long time without taking a sip, and asked.
"No, it smells delicious."
"Afraid of gaining weight?"
Mrs. Ford noticed Finn Chandler swallowing her saliva, and a smile appeared on her lips.
In public, Mrs. Ford rarely smiled. She wasn’t like Julian Ford, whose smiling face gave a sense of a spring breeze.
Finn Chandler couldn’t understand how the cold and aloof Mrs. Ford raised such a perfectly gentle son!
"If you want to drink, go ahead, don’t force yourself."
"As for gaining weight—"
Mrs. Ford’s eyes sized up Finn Chandler’s body back and forth, "Indeed, a bit."
Finn Chandler’s weight seemed to be growing as if it was blown up by the wind recently.
With Mrs. Ford’s comment, Finn Chandler really didn’t want to drink the soup anymore.
How did she gain so much weight in just a few days?
The Ford Family’s food was just too good.
"You should control your weight."
After Mrs. Ford spoke, she had the servant take the chicken soup away. Seeing Finn Chandler’s weight, she thought, it really needed control.
When the chicken soup was taken away, Finn Chandler felt a pang in her heart, unable to smell it anymore.
She wanted to drink, but didn’t dare to.
However, Mrs. Ford was right, she needed to control her weight, or else, at this rate, the child in her belly would be nurtured too strongly.
"Taking care of yourself is the most important."
Mrs. Ford added another sentence.
Finn Chandler was momentarily stunned, looking at Mrs. Ford, who had started eating dinner, with confusion. As her mother-in-law, the grandmother of the child in her belly, shouldn’t she focus on the child, nourishing it well with soups and stews?
Yet Mrs. Ford said, taking care of herself was what’s most important.
This mother-in-law’s way of handling things was truly different from others, no wonder she raised such an outstanding man like Julian Ford!
More smiles appeared on Finn Chandler’s lips, and a lifted spirit influenced her appetite, making her eat a bit more.
Footsteps sounded outside, and Finn Chandler, who had eaten almost enough, thought Julian Ford had returned, and quickly turned her head to look over. The handsome man who entered was not Julian Ford but Mr. Ford.
Mr. and Mrs. Ford were both outstanding people, Julian Ford inherited the best genes from both of them.
"Dad!"
As a junior, Finn Chandler proactively greeted Mr. Ford, who came in with a sullen face.
Mr. Ford’s dislike of her was one thing, but he was Julian Ford’s father.
