Robert Lancaster wasn’t Daxton Lancaster’s biological son, yet he was dearer than a biological one. In Daxton Lancaster’s heart, this son had already taken the most important place.

Holding Robert Lancaster in the back seat, he constantly comforted him. The little guy was tired from crying, his small mouth pouted in grievance, occasionally sobbing gently.

When his son’s little hand got burnt, Joseph Lancaster felt more pain than anyone, and hurried to the city hospital.

"Daddy, Pengpeng is hungry~" the little one looked at Daxton Lancaster with grievance.

The accident happened just before dinner, the year-old little one was hungry.

"Good boy, let’s see the doctor first. After that, daddy will take you out to eat. How about that?"

Daxton Lancaster wrapped his son in his arms, speaking tenderly.

The year-old little one didn’t quite understand what ’out to eat’ meant, sobbing once more, wordlessly requesting, "Pengpeng, eat meat."

"Okay, daddy will take Robert to eat meat."

In truth, the two brothers were overly worried, by the time they arrived at the hospital, Robert Lancaster’s hand was already fine. The sauerkraut with pork was served in a bowl, and the little one threw it away as soon as he picked it up.

Knowing his son was fine, both fathers finally relaxed. Upon leaving the hospital, without consulting big brother Daxton Lancaster, Joseph Lancaster decided to drive to the halal restaurant.

The last time he brought his son to the office to play, the little one enjoyed eating shaomai, he remembered.

Noticing the car wasn’t heading homeward, Daxton Lancaster was puzzled, "Joseph, where are we going?"

"Big brother, didn’t you just say you were going to take Robert out to eat?"

Daxton Lancaster...

Subconsciously, he patted the pocket of his trousers. In his haste, he hadn’t even worn his wool coat, and the wallet was in the coat’s pocket.

"I forgot to bring money."

Daxton Lancaster spoke honestly.

"It’s okay, I have it."

While eating, they heard Violet Zimmerman was unwell. Having a hurried bite, he planned to visit her. As he was about to leave, his son burned his little hand, so Joseph Lancaster was the one wearing the coat.

Joseph Lancaster parked the car in front of the halal restaurant, got out of the driver’s seat, and walked to the back to open the car door for his brother.

Daxton Lancaster, using his brother Joseph’s wool coat, wrapped his son well before carrying him out of the car.

During dinner, Joseph Lancaster took Robert Lancaster over, since he’d already eaten dinner, and with Daxton Lancaster across, focused on eating shaomai. Joseph patiently peeled the thin skin off and fed the little one meat filling.

The one-year-old loved eating beef, smacking his lips with satisfaction as he showed his dad across the table, "Yummy~"

Daxton Lancaster looked up, his gaze softened watching his son’s adorable expression, "Yes, yummy, Robert, eat more."

...

Violet Zimmerman stood at the entrance of her residence, anxiously watching the road leading this way.

Robert’s aunt Aurora Lancaster had told her that during dinner, the child accidentally burned his hand. What mother wouldn’t worry about their child? Hearing that Daxton Lancaster and his little brother had taken the son to the hospital, Violet Zimmerman was even more concerned.

She wanted the driver to take her there, but didn’t know which hospital, so she anxiously waited at home.

Spotting two beams of headlights from afar, Violet Zimmerman hurriedly ran over. Seeing her approaching, Joseph Lancaster accelerated.

The black car stopped in front of Violet Zimmerman, who hurriedly walked over.

Daxton Lancaster pushed the car door open from the back seat, "Get in."

Violet Zimmerman leaned into the vehicle, just about to ask about the injury, when in Daxton Lancaster’s arms, the little one who had a satisfying meal was already asleep.

Almost as soon as she got into the car, Violet Zimmerman took her son over, unhappily saying, "Can’t even watch over a child properly, ends up getting burnt during dinner!"

Violet Zimmerman’s attitude clearly carried emotion, Daxton Lancaster gave her a calm glance and said nothing.

In the front, Joseph Lancaster glanced into the rearview mirror. The dim light inside the car hid the redness in Violet Zimmerman’s eyes.
