Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar
Chapter 569 - 560: Main Story Finale (Part 2)
"Wow!" Sierra Ainsworth stepped forward, reaching out to touch it gently. She then sighed in admiration, "It’s absolutely gorgeous!"
Chloe Marshall was also stunned. Then she asked, "The wedding dress is lilies, so is the reception dress roses?"
"You guessed correctly," the stylist said with a gentle smile. "This is our reception dress."
After speaking, she turned, opened the wardrobe, and took out another dress.
Red rose petals, so vibrant they seemed to drip with color, were incredibly eye-catching.
Nora Ainsworth also reached out and touched it, confirming that they were real petals.
Never mind how much money it would cost to make a wedding dress from flower petals; just think of the brainpower and energy the designer must have poured into creating such a gown.
It was unparalleled, one of a kind.
In particular, the dress even had a design of two hearts made from petals.
"Sis, hurry and put it on so we can see." Sierra Ainsworth took the lily-petal wedding dress, unzipped it, and then helped Nora Ainsworth put it on with the stylist.
Nora Ainsworth slipped out of her pajamas, stepped into the dress, and slowly pulled it up. When they zipped it up, it was a perfect fit, not a single inch off.
Once on, the dress beautifully accentuated her graceful S-curve. No one had ever looked so stunning in a wedding dress, her figure so perfectly defined. It was a sight that made all the other women burn with envy.
"Young Master Grant is so thoughtful. I’m so envious of Nora," Chloe Marshall said with a wide smile.
"My brother-in-law really cares for my sister. I’m dying to know if he’ll be blinded by her beauty when he sees her later."
A faint blush colored Nora Ainsworth’s cheeks, complementing her bridal makeup and making her almost too dazzling to look at directly.
She looked down at the wedding dress she was wearing, tugging at it with her hands. She discovered that the petals were fused together so securely that they couldn’t be pulled apart. Only then did she relax. Standing in front of the mirror, she took out her phone and snapped a few pictures of her reflection. Sierra Ainsworth then called out, "Sis, let’s take a picture, the three of us! We’re the bridal party, after all."
"Yes, yes! Post it on Weibo so Nora’s fans can see her on her happiest day."
Nora Ainsworth held up her phone, and the three of them huddled their heads together, taking several shots in a row.
Chloe Marshall immediately uploaded them to Weibo.
Instantly, the post went viral again.
Among them, a few of the top comments were:
A fan with the username ’My Mother-in-Law Nora Ainsworth’ said: Mother-in-law is getting married today, and your son-in-law is here to congratulate you! But, Mother-in-law, when are you going to give birth to my wife?
A fan with the username ’No Chrysanthemum, No Joy’ said: I’ve been a fan of Nora Ainsworth for a long time. She’s my favorite female star, bar none. The main reason I like her so much is that any woman Quentin Grant sets his eyes on is definitely a good woman. That needs no explanation.
A fan with the username ’All Men Are Scum’ said: Quentin Grant is finally married! The world’s four great bachelors have lost another golden bachelor. Still, sending you my best wishes. I just hope the other three don’t get married, please please please! We can’t have men like them, so can’t we at least fantasize?
A fan with the username ’CEO, CEO, I Love You’ said: Nora’s wedding dress must be priceless, right? A big-shot CEO this rich, why didn’t you fall into my lap sooner? Oh, heavens, please grant me one too! Even a single strand of the CEO’s hair would be enough!
The last comment was incredibly sour. A Weibo user named ’This Young Lady Is Just Cool’ said: What kind of dumb luck did Nora Ainsworth stumble into to meet a man like Quentin Grant? I think I’m prettier than Nora Ainsworth, have a slightly better figure, am more educated, am two centimeters taller, and have a better temper. Aside from her family being richer than mine, I’m better than her in every way. So why are the men who come my way either scumbags or toads, either giraffes or pigs? Why? Did my dream man get lost on his way to being reincarnated?
This was immediately followed by many replies, the top one being: Just accept your fate, kid. You might have more than Nora Ainsworth in some areas, but you don’t have her destiny. It’s not your fault. The fault lies with your mom not being Nora Ainsworth’s mom and not being able to give birth to a daughter like her.
Everyone had a good laugh at the comments and moved on. They waited until seven o’clock, when the groom arrived to pick up his bride.
Since it was summer and the weather was rather hot, the wedding ceremony was scheduled to be held early.
By seven o’clock, the sun was already shining.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK. A knock came from the door.
Sierra Ainsworth and Chloe Marshall exchanged a smile. Sierra immediately went to the door and asked with mock seriousness, "Who is it?"
"Your brother-in-law."
"And what are you here for?" Sierra Ainsworth asked, feigning ignorance.
"To marry your sister."
"If you want to marry my sister, you have to get past me first." Sierra Ainsworth covered her mouth with a laugh, then said, "First, recite a poem for us."
For Quentin Grant, this was child’s play, but he answered seriously.
"The white sun sets behind the mountains, the Yellow River flows into the sea. To see a thousand miles further, one must climb another story high."
"Even kindergarteners can recite that poem, so that one doesn’t count. I’ll ask you another: Do you know why Little Ming calls his father ’Uncle’?"
There was silence outside the door. The men looked at each other in confusion.
Ethan Ellsworth was puzzled. "Is this a question? Or a brain teaser? Or something from the ’Book of 100,000 Whys’?"
Quentin Grant looked at the three men beside him. "Well? Hurry up and think of an answer."
Aaron Sterling thought for a moment and said, "Because his dad married his own sister? Is that even possible? Wouldn’t that be all messed up?"
"It could be a cousin," Herman Hawthorne offered his opinion.
Ethan Ellsworth waggled his index finger. "I think there’s a catch. If it were that simple, would Sierra have asked it?"
Everyone thought about it and agreed that he had a point.
"So what do we do?"
A smile played on Quentin Grant’s lips. He then said, "Because Little Ming was just kidding."
Sierra Ainsworth immediately turned and gave Nora Ainsworth a thumbs-up, then opened the door.
"Brother-in-law, you’re amazing!"
"Oh, damn, so that was the answer?" Ethan Ellsworth exclaimed.
Chloe Marshall stepped forward. "What else did you think it was?"
Ethan Ellsworth looked at Nora Ainsworth and his eyes went wide with astonishment.
"Is that Nora?"
"Duh, who else would it be?"
"Too... too... too beautiful... I didn’t recognize you."
Quentin Grant’s eyes burned as he gazed at the woman before him. Her skin was like cream, her face like a blossoming peach, and in that wedding dress, she was radiant and captivating.
"Nora, you’re so beautiful."
Nora Ainsworth looked at him. The white suit fit him perfectly. He had the ideal build for clothes—in black, he looked wise and profound; in white, he was bright and handsome.
He reached out, pulled her into an embrace in front of everyone, then let go, holding her hand tightly. A wide grin spread across his face. "Let’s go get married!"
The three groomsmen let out a cheer. Everyone watched them with soft smiles, and in that moment, they couldn’t help but feel the couple’s happiness.
Outside the hotel, hundreds of media members were quietly filming from a distance by the sea as Quentin Grant led Nora Ainsworth toward the beach.
The wedding venue was already fully set up, and a song exclusively contributed by Ethan Ellsworth drifted through the air.
Everyone broke into smiles and applauded in unison.
Nora Ainsworth took his arm and looked out at the crowd.
Everything was ready.
Ethan Ellsworth was serving as the officiant.
Ethan Ellsworth, wearing a light blue shirt, stood in the center holding a notebook.
He waved to Nora Ainsworth and Quentin Grant. "Come over here and stand facing each other."
The couple did as they were told.
Ethan Ellsworth put the notebook in his pocket and began to speak. "Today might be an ordinary day for most people, but for Quentin Grant and Nora Ainsworth, it is extraordinary. Because today, after knowing each other for five years, they are about to enter the sacred hall of marriage."
The twenty-some guests applauded together.
Ethan Ellsworth continued, "Although I wasn’t there to witness the first time they met, I have been one of the witnesses to their journey of breaking up and getting back together to reach this point. Quentin’s love for Nora is like a steady, gentle stream, meant for the long road ahead. Nora’s love for Quentin is like melting ice and snow, seeping in bit by bit. One day, that ice will turn to water and flow to the sea. It hasn’t been easy for them. They’ve faced many hardships along the way. It’s safe to say that without their perseverance, we wouldn’t be witnessing this scene today."
These words were not from the script in his notebook; Ethan Ellsworth was speaking from the heart.
"So, today’s wedding is anything but ordinary for them. It is a testament to their love and growth. Alright, the wedding ceremony will now officially begin."
Under everyone’s gaze, Ethan Ellsworth said, "Mr. Quentin Grant, do you promise to be faithful to Nora Ainsworth in the days to come, to never abandon her, never give up on her, and to never let go of her hand until you accidentally find yourselves gray and old together?"
"I absolutely do."
Ethan Ellsworth looked at Nora Ainsworth. "Miss Nora Ainsworth, do you promise to be faithful to Quentin Grant in the days to come, to never abandon him, never give up on him, and to never let go of his hand until you accidentally find yourselves gray and old together?"
Nora Ainsworth turned to look at Quentin Grant and replied with deep love and affection, "I do."
"Alright, you may now exchange rings."
Quentin Grant carefully slid the diamond ring onto her finger, and Nora Ainsworth did the same for him.
"Now, for the vows. Please express your most sincere love for your partner." After speaking, Ethan Ellsworth took a step back.
Quentin Grant looked at Nora Ainsworth opposite him and spoke his most heartfelt words to her, one by one.
"Nora, I love you, just as you love me. You’ve suffered a lot and been wronged so many times since you’ve been with me. You’ve poured so much of your heart into us, and you even gave me twins. I’m sorry I couldn’t give you a wedding sooner, but it’s not too late. From this day forward, I will be devoted to you and love you for all of eternity. We will never be apart."
Nora Ainsworth’s eyes grew moist. She looked at him and said, "Meeting you, knowing you, staying by your side, following you—I don’t regret any of it. I know in my heart how you treat me, and the two babies know in their hearts how you treat them. Our family of four will be together, never to be separated again."
Ethan Ellsworth quickly interjected, "Ahem, you can kiss now!"
