Chapter 1775: Chapter 1775: Yue Siqing vs. Jinjin Grand Finale (Part 3)

The wine glass in Gu Anjin’s hand never left her side, champagne, red wine, ice wine, she eventually couldn’t remember what she was drinking.

The whole day was spent in the cheerful conversations with the guests and friends, fulfilling and bright.

Until the evening, until nightfall.

She stumbled into the bathroom, tossed the glass aside, and splashed cold water on her face.

It’s finally over.

Yue Siqing agreed with her, and she no longer needed to hold onto even a sliver of hope for this person.

Suddenly, the clamor of the Gu Mansion seemed far away from her, and she didn’t want to hear anything.

After washing her face, she left the Gu Mansion with unsteady steps.

Having drunk, she couldn’t drive, and she didn’t want to disturb the Gu Family’s driver.

Walking alone on the quiet driveway outside the villa, heading in the direction of leaving.

She felt dizzy, but her mind had never been clearer.

It was the right thing to do; after so many years, Yue Siqing’s sincerity couldn’t be won, continuing wasn’t worth it.

Don’t forget Song Yi and Huo Xun, Yue Siqing, with his extreme controlling desires, isn’t the right man.

She was only in her twenties, her future was still long...

Gu Anjin kept finding reasons for herself, convincing herself that asking Yue Siqing to leave her life was the right thing to do.

"Hi."

Gu Anjin raised her head, pressing her dizzy temple. The voice was somewhat familiar; she thought she was dreaming.

She looked up to see a man in a black T-shirt standing tall before her, the semblance of a smile on his face seemed to be assessing her ridiculous appearance.

This charming and bewitching face was one she’d seen before; under the thin veil of night, it looked especially dreamlike.

Huo Xun slid one hand into his pocket, glancing at her, "Don’t recognize me?"

"Are you human or ghost?" Gu Anjin rubbed her eyes.

Huo Xun?

She thought he had disappeared.

Moreover, Yue Siqing forbade her from interacting with Huo Xun, his stance firm.

So she left London, putting aside matters she couldn’t handle after Arthur assured her that Huo Xun wouldn’t be in danger.

"Just touch and find out if I’m human or ghost." Huo Xun’s lips curved, his sharp brows raised slightly, though his eyes carried a hint of helplessness, "Six months not seeing you, and you’ve turned yourself into such a mess, huh?"

Gu Anjin took a deep breath and, listening to this casual chat, felt a bit tired and simply sat down by the roadside, "You really are a ghost; Huo Xun doesn’t talk like this."

Huo Xun casually strolled over and sat down beside her.

"Huo Xun, I can’t avenge you. I’m telling you, clinging to me is useless..."

Huo Xun lifted his head, his eyes unfocused.

Gu Anjin turned her head, tilting it as she looked at his profile.

It’s really been six months, is this really Huo Xun?

She wasn’t deeply connected with Huo Xun, but she could distinctly sense something different about him.

Not as much hostility and sharpness as before.

"Are you okay? Seems your revenge has failed," Gu Anjin finally sighed and said.

Huo Xun suddenly laughed, "Revenge? You really left London for a long time."

"What happened? Didn’t he do anything to you?" She looked vaguely at her intoxicated state, but her eyes were exceptionally bright, "Isn’t he your brother?"

"He isn’t." Huo Xun spoke softly and quickly, then turned to look at her.

He firmly believed that during the Qin Family’s power struggle back then, Qin Wu, in order to gain the Qin Family’s inheritance rights, ruthlessly eradicated Qin Shi’s father, Qin Hai, even going as far as destroying the Huo Family. And Yue Siqing was that traitor, allied with Qin Wu.
