Wolves never like it when things don’t go their way, so one could only imagine the chaos that was unfolding inside the cave after Della ran out.

Guards had been deployed to find her, their heavy paws slamming against the earth as they all ran out, trying to track her down.

The cave itself had been transformed into a hall of pandemonium. Everyone was lashing out between themselves, arguing and still stunned by what they had just witnessed.

The awakening of a rotblood.

A powerful existence inside of her that had bared its fangs all over their faces, strong and commanding enough to make them all lower their heads.

It didn’t make sense at all, but they couldn’t deny what they’d just seen.

She moved faster than light itself, and everything about her was extraordinary.

They had all watched as she had ripped through the chains like it was nothing, floated down and looked at each and every one of them in the room, as though she was marking their faces.

She probably did.

Conan was still very much unconscious. The healers were doing everything they could, but there was a huge dent in his chest, and whatever it was that Della had done to him, his healing abilities weren’t kicking in at all.

Beatrice had her arms wrapped around her naked body, squatting behind a pillar. She was still coughing uncontrollably, blood and saliva tearing up her throat painfully.

Even though Della was gone, it was as though she was still being choked to death by something invisible. It wasn’t as bad as when Della herself was present, but it still felt like life was being dragged out of her body.

Her eyes were bloodshot, her claws digging into the earth as she kept coughing. She could hear growls and snarls behind her from the Alphas that were getting aggressive, and she could hear those that were trying to calm the situation down.

Her claws dug deeper into the mountain, disbelief still riddling her thoughts. She was still waiting to wake up from this nightmare, but the level of pain constantly proved to her that it wasn’t a dream.

This was real.

Della...had awakened.

The thought alone brought chills down her spine. The powerless woman, the Rotblood had transformed into something... godly.

For one terrifying heartbeat, Beatrice wanted to run. To disappear before those silver eyes ever found her again.

Then the fear curdled into hatred.

"No...," Beatrice whispered to herself, anger storming into her chest as hard as she was trying to reject the thoughts in her head, "Fuck, no!!" She coughed again, her breathing haggard.

This was supposed to be the best night of her life!!

Della being raped over and over again, till she became limp and dead from the continuous act, was supposed to bring storms of joy and happiness to her.

"Della...!" Beatrice gritted her teeth so hard her gums started to bleed, "This... isn’t over!" She sunk her claws even deeper, gouging out stone with them, "This is nowhere near over!! You hear me?!"

She heard movements by her right, and she managed to turn her head and saw that it was coming from the crushed wall and heaps of rocks still crushing Leopold.

The idiot was finally waking up, limbs trembling as he struggled to push forward and get the rocks off his bleeding body. Beatrice looked at him and glared with everything she could muster — oh! How she wished his situation was as bad as Conan’s. It would be her pleasure to watch him fight for his life when he couldn’t even protect her!!

Just then, a wailing servant came rushing past her. Beatrice’s gaze snapped up horridly, like she was suddenly possessed to control herself and keep up the nice act.

Without thinking, she threw a claw out, cutting through the maid’s neck. Blood spilled on the walls as the maid grabbed her bleeding neck, her breath coming out in dying pants as she fell on both knees, the light leaving her eyes.

Quickly, Beatrice yanked off the dead woman’s gown and threw it over herself, covering her naked skin.

She finally stood up and glanced at the entrance of the cave, which was being blocked by hundreds of wolves still trying to tear themselves into shreds.

She looked around, hoping to find Selene somewhere, probably still reeling from the effects of the clutching nightmare that was Della. This would be a really good opportunity to kill Selene and blame it all on the chaos.

But unfortunately, no matter how hard Beatrice looked, she couldn’t find Selene.

Seems like the Pack Princess had somehow left the cage before everyone had snapped back to their normal senses.

The moment Beatrice stepped out behind the pillar, she felt a presence behind her right before a palm came down on her shoulders, "My love!"

She wanted to puke.

She wanted to whirl around and give him a dirty slap. Better still, she wanted to turn around, catch him off guard by slicing his throat the same way she’d done to that maid and blame it on the chaos later on.

But unfortunately, she still needed his sorry, Alpha ass.

"Oh, sweetie!" She cried as she turned around, her one scheming, bitter gaze transforming into one of deep worry and fear, "Sweetie, you’re alive! Oh, thank the Moon Goddess!" She threw herself into his arms.

Leopold groaned from pain, every inch of his body still trying to shake off what had happened to him. The pain was so immense that he was still wondering how he’d managed to get up on both feet.

Beatrice heard him groan, and took that as an invitation to hug him even tighter, pleased to hear him grunting even harder from pain, "I was so scared without you! I almost died!" She cried even harder, the tears naturally flowing into his torn, dusty clothing.

"Ugh!" Leopold almost fell on one knee, but instead he managed to hug her back, "You’re safe now," He could still taste blood in his mouth — that metallic tang that reminded him of just how much they had all underestimated one woman, "I won’t let anyone hurt you again,"

Now, that was a promise he wasn’t sure he would be able to keep. Because if Della decided to return right now, they’d all probably die.

But still, his fingers gently stroked her hair as she continued to sob.

He would do anything to protect his wife from anyone who wanted to harm her. And if it meant tearing him limb by limb, or sending him flying into walls a thousand times, he would take the pain and crawl back to his wife to protect her.

"I love you, Beatrice," He whispered into her ear.

"I love you more," She cried.

Leopold continued to look around them. The whole place was being turned upside down, and the Alphas were getting more and more out of control.

If Malachi doesn’t come back soon, this place might soon turn into a bloodbath!
