Beatrice laid naked on the bed, legs drawn wide open.

Above her, Leopold panted as his waist moved rhythmically, his cock grinding in and out of pussy. He groaned breathlessly, eyes rolled from pure pleasure while hissing, before he pushed back into her pussy, letting his cock soak her in, till he was balls-deep.

Beatrice had both arms wrapped around him, soft but heavy moans emitting from her red-stained lips. Her brown eyes curled to the back of her head, and she moaned his name, encouraging him to fuck her even more.

After a few minutes, Leopold finally collapsed on the bed next to her, his orgasm still shaking his body like it would never end. Her pussy swallowed most of his cum, while some of it leaked out and rolled between her legs, coating her asshole.

She laid there, staring emptily at the ceiling, her nipples perky and hard, her eyes just as empty as whatever was in her chest.

That had to be the worst fuck she’s ever had in her life.

She subtly glanced at the man next to her, still vibrating like a worm who had had salt sprinkled on it, and she almost scoffed.

Back in Astridge, she’d had men who fuck her harder than this. Men who weren’t anywhere close to being Alpha, and it had been so much better than this.

This wasn’t a fuck.

It was more like he’d been tapping her pussy all this while, and she, as the good wife she was posing to be, had to pretend like she was enjoying every bit of it.

Because this was one of the little things she had to endure for as long as this marriage would last, and for as long as Leopold would remain useful to her.

It shouldn’t be too long anymore.

Since her plans were already being set into motion.

Beatrice stood up from the bed first, grabbed her robe and threw it over her beautiful, milky skin. Her eyes now held only spite as she walked up to the window and looked down at the ever-busy castle, servants and maids running around, attending to someone’s needs.

She twirled the wine she had picked up on the table close to the window and took a small sip. Her eyes reeked of mischief and intentions that looked too horrifying to be said out loud, yet the minute Leopold’s arms wrapped around her waist and he stepped next to her, she blinked, and all those crude, devilish look vanished.

Replaced by the usual innocent, sweet gleam.

"You were so amazing, my love," She cooed, pressing a sweet kiss to his cheek.

Leopold beamed like a little child that had just had their first taste of sweetness in months, and Beatrice almost laughed. The man was way too easy. Even easier than Della was when they were younger.

Ever so desperate for praise and love.

"I wish I could scream to the world how amazing my husband is," She beamed even more, running her thumb across his face, feeling the roughness of his beard on her hand.

Leopold’s ears reddened beneath her praise, and the smile that spread across his face was so genuine it almost made Beatrice pity him.

He covered her hand with his own and leaned into her touch like a starving man finally offered warmth. "As long as you smile at me like this," he murmured, "I don’t need the world to know.

Her lashes lowered, hiding the cold calculation flashing through her eyes.

How easy.

Every compliment she offered became another chain around his heart, and Leopold wore every one of them willingly.

She rested her forehead lightly against his shoulder. "You’re too humble."

"And you’re too good to me."

A smile tugged at her lips.

If only he knew.

She turned her attention back to the bustling courtyard below, where servants hurried between wings of the castle while soldiers rotated shifts along the walls, "The castle has felt... tense these past few days," she observed casually.

Leopold sighed, "It has."

"Ever since Della was locked away two days ago, gosh," Beatrice gripped her chest, feigning pain, "I can’t even describe it. It seems to me like even the Alpha always seems a little more... angrier than usual. I feel so bad that their union has to be cut short like that,"

"Yeah, my brother was getting very attached to her for some reason. She’s a rotblood...and he is an Alpha. The union was meant to break right from the beginning. My brother should have known better than to even mate with her,"

"You still call him your brother," she whispered softly. "Even after everything."

He stiffened almost imperceptibly.

Leopold looked out across the courtyard, his expression clouding. "Malachi has carried this Pack alone for years. Whatever people say about him... Unfortunately, we still have the same blood running through us,"

"And you worry about him."

Leopold shrugged expressionlessly, "Maybe,"

Beatrice reached for his hand, intertwining their fingers. "You’re a good man."

His shoulders relaxed immediately.

"But..." she continued gently, "...sometimes I wonder whether everyone appreciates you the way they should."

"What do you mean?" Leopold frowned.

"You’ve handled border negotiations. You’ve overseen military drills. The western trade routes improved because of your decisions." She tilted her head, her tone innocent. "Yet every success is credited to Alpha Malachi."

Leopold remained silent.

She could almost hear the thought taking root.

"I don’t mind," he said eventually, "For everything I’ve done, Malachi has done something else ten times better than me,"

"I know you don’t." She smiled sweetly. "That’s exactly why people take advantage of your kindness."

His jaw tightened, and she noticed.

Good. It wasn’t enough to breed resentment, though, just enough to awaken awareness.

"You deserve recognition too. Those things you’ve done...it’s also hard work!" she continued. "Not because you’re his brother... but because you’ve earned it."

Leopold looked at her with unmistakable affection, "I don’t know what I did to deserve you."

She kissed the back of his hand, "You loved me."

His heart melted all over again.

Hers remained perfectly still.

A sharp knock echoed against the chamber doors, "My Alpha," A guard called from outside. "Lady Selene has requested an audience with you regarding preparations for tomorrow’s council ritual."

Beatrice’s smile did not falter.

"How diligent of Lady Selene," she said pleasantly.

Leopold glanced toward the door. "Should I see her?"

"Of course."

She stepped away from him, smoothing the folds of her robe, "The Pack comes first."

He nodded gratefully before putting on some clothes and leaving the room.

The moment the door shut behind him, the warmth vanished from her face.

She also walked up to the door moments later, opened and gently poked a head outside. She watched Leopold walk down the hall, and then Selene emerged from the opposite direction in an elegant crimson gown.

Even from this distance, Beatrice could see it.

Selene wasn’t there to speak with Leopold.

She was there because she knew Malachi would also be attending the ritual tomorrow.

Invitations have been sent out personally by Selene — in secret — calling to every Alpha out there that Malachi has just secured a new slave, and the ritual of forced Servitude was happening tomorrow night!

The two women locked gazes, and a smirk formed on Beatrice’s face.

Selene replied with one of her own.
