Moonfire Bride: The One they all betrayed...till she awakened
Chapter 217: Della, I beg of you!
“Did you enjoy it?”
The question was directed to Evangeline and her son. Their eyebrows rose a little.
“The setups. Did you enjoy it all?”
Jaime and Evangeline’s expressions instantly transformed into that of anger. It clouded the deep fear in their veins for a moment, and Jaime was the first to explode, “Of course it was you!!”
“Yeah. It was,” Della smiled, and slowly undid her cloak, “The numbers, your seals, and your signatures that I copied perfectly…it was all me,”
She knew Jaime wanted nothing more than to pounce on her again. He had that mad look in his eyes whenever he was beating her up.
“You took everything away from me!!”
“How could you frame me for working with Clawfang?! And how could you frame me for the stolen food? People starved because of what you did,” Evangeline yelled too
“People who hated me,” Della replied, “And I starved too, remember?! The Alpha’s daughter who is a rotblood and grew up in the servant quarters. I had to steal most of the food I ate growing up. I was all bones and none of you gave a fuck about me!”
Augustus was still groaning.
Nobody in the room was even paying attention to him anymore, and it looked like he was going to pass out soon.
“Because you were a Rotblood!” Jaime fired back, “Your kind deserves all the hate in this world. All the torture,”
The ancients scrolls definitely didn’t do anything to change their minds, and Della laughed. “Well, lucky you, brother, because I’m about to take all that torture and turn it back on you.”
He struggled against the straps again, “I’m going to get out of here one way or another, and I’m going to do what Beatrice couldn’t do properly. I’ll kill you and I will get the fuck out here,”
“And go where?” She questioned with another empty laugh that brought chills down her spine, “The only thing preventing the Moonfire that swallowed everything before I got you all out, from reaching is here…is the Darkwater,”
“Dark…water?” Evangeline stuttered and looked around again.
When they’d woken up, they had no idea where they were. Now that Della had mentioned that name, she was really hoping Della was joking or else…
“Mother, what is it?” Jaime asked, noticing the fear in her eyes.
“Don’t you know Blackwater Keep?” She whispered back to him, “It’s an abandoned fortress from centuries ago. It’s said that bodies fill up every part of the place, and it’s almost impossible to escape once you are in. There is also the Blackwater…that has a weird current. It lets wolves in…and doesn’t let’s them out,”
“No way!” Jaime spat and turned to Della again, “We cannot be at Darkwater Keep. It’s impossible for a wolf to even find the place,”
“Yeah, you’re bluffing,” Beatrice added.
Della turned around and slowly walked down the room. Once she was standing by the wall, she reached over and pulled a long, curtain had been shrewd by the darkness… revealing a large window that gave her prisoners a good view of the outside world that surrounded them.
The Darkwater itself. The fortress surrounding them.
And of course, The Moonfire that sat just beyond the Darkwater.
“Rotbloods take in substances that harm normal wolves and make it harmless to themselves,” Della stated, watching their expression becoming haunted again, “The Fortress was built to trap and harm wolves. So is the water. Which means…I’m the only person here who can get in and out of here safely.”
“Fuck,” Jaime whispered.
Was there really no escape for them from this mad, vengeful Rotblood they had created?!
“Now, enough with the conversations… let’s get into more pressing matters ahead,”
They all stared at her.
She could see different emotions there.
The biggest one was fear. It fed her satisfaction deeply.
“I will start the exact same way I started with some of my victims weeks ago. Although they were in a much more advantageous position because unlike you all…” Della grinned wickedly, walked over to a large door by the side and pulled the creaking, groaning metal thing with one hand.
Five rogues instantly snarled and jumped into the room.
“…they weren’t strapped and helpless,” Della finished.
.
.
.
By the time Della got what she wanted and killed the rogues before they could do more damage…well, so much damage had already been done.
Augustus had lost another limb — his leg from the thigh down.
Jaime had lost a huge chunk of his face and a little part of his neck. From the chin up, along the right side, his flesh and bones were mostly gone. If he were to drink anything now, the liquid would run out the ripped out side of his mouth.
Also, one leg has almost been ripped out. The thing was barely hanging together.
Evangeline had lost a limb too, a leg. And a huge chunk of her shoulders. Della had smiled watching the rogues chump on that joint, their canines dipping and tearing it out.
Beatrice hadn’t lost any limb, but her left wrist was gone. Also, the rogues had tore out a huge part of her stomach and Della could clearly see her guts now.
Della had to turn off two Moonfire torches, to enable all their wolves wake up with just enough strength to start healing them so they won’t die on her.
She didn’t want them dead.
Not now. Not soon.
“Nothing has brought me greater pleasure,” Della said as she walked up to them again, “I had so much fun,”
“Please… please…” Jaime held out a bloody hand that was one finger-less, squirming in his seat like a child that had just witnessed what hell was first-hand.
“Aren’t you going to insult me again?” She asked without stopping.
“Please…,” Due to his ruined face, his voice sounded different too. And whenever he spoke, more blood poured out of them.
“Jaime,” She stopped in front of him and leaned closer to his face again, giving him that same devilish look again, “Does it hurt?”
He screamed right there.
No, it sounded more like a failed attempt to groan. One that carried so much pain, like he had so much pent-up inside of him and couldn’t properly release it.
Ouch. Really.
“Della, I beg of you,” Beatrice’s voice was tiny. Her face was pale like the others, and she looked so helpless, “Please, Della,” She repeated, clawing at the surface of the metal chair she was strapped into, “Please, please. Don’t…do this. Help us…Help,”
Della reached down and gently cupped her stepsister’s beautiful face.
Beatrice flinched and breathed out shakily the moment Della touched her. Fuck, she was so cold!
“I should…help?” Della asked softly.
Beatrice couldn’t even nod. A lone tear simply rolled down her eyes. Right now, she would accept that a hundred Conans r*pe her than to stare into the eyes of this monster.
“I can help you. I know a way to help you,” Della said.
Beatrice did not like this at all.
