Chapter 1538: Chapter 394: The Heavenly Demon Descends, Players Celebrate (Part 2)
The popular magic system profession without a close-knit team is destined for hard times.
Beside Wind Child is a handsome young man with bulging muscles, carrying two broken blade weapons.
His game ID is Undying Mad Blade, the sharpest spear of the team, obsessed with close combat, always rushing forward following the captain’s footsteps.
But in Captain Wulong’s eyes, this guy is still a half-baked talent.
Being obsessed with combat and having ability are completely different things.
Before forming the team, Mad Blade roamed the Colorful Mist Coast Region, being a member of the Competition Faction circle.
He fought numerous times in the Ancient God Arena, always getting quickly obliterated, sometimes even outmatched by opponents of lower levels.
This led to a mental breakdown, prompting him to retire from the competition circle, eventually joining this team.
Though his strength has significantly improved compared to back then,
Mad Blade chose to stay and never brought up returning to the Competition Faction circle again.
The only female in the team, game ID "Rainy Day," stands quietly at a distance, her figure slightly petite due to the long dress made of white feathers.
She exudes a calming Life aura, with two small medicine pouch decorations hanging from her waist, being the indispensable support and healer of the team.
In Captain Wulong’s eyes, the support has been somewhat lively lately.
It’s likely because the Rejuvenation Life Soul was acquired, promoting her from a miscellaneous role to healer.
She feels accomplished and finally liberated.
Regarding this, Wulong remains noncommittal.
With the healer’s support, his stress indeed lessened significantly.
Behind the healer is a young boy "Tiaotiao" with lively eyes.
Just having come of age, he was lucky to attain player qualification, being the team’s dual cultivation of demon and martial arts archer.
An absolute technical stream player, also seen by Captain Wulong as the team’s most promising player.
He likely has a chance to enter top guilds in the future, but Tiaotiao has never shown willingness to leave the team.
Currently, he is excitedly tinkering with his newly upgraded rune resonance weapon, a fiery short bow, and his arrow bag is filled with various arrows.
He is clearly eager to test the new weapon’s power.
The last player to arrive is Sword Point.
He was just released from the Little Black House, wearing a sleek black outfit.
Originally, Sword Point was part of the magic system of the team, but to alleviate the team’s frontline pressure, he actively replaced Star Vein, embarking on the irrevocable path of close combat.
Despite being smaller in number, the team has a perfect ratio of profession configuration.
Once assembled, Captain Wulong inquires about the team’s direction for this update, then waves grandly:
"Let’s go."
The teleportation array built by the Gold Coin Chamber of Commerce is 1200 meters from the space exit and doesn’t obstruct other players’ movement.
Upon arrival at the coordinates, the vicinity of the teleport point is already crowded with figures.
Many players are forming teams here, preparing to set off.
The team of six squeezes through the bustling crowd and approaches the teleportation array, following Captain Wulong inside.
Accompanied by a strong sensation of weightlessness and space distortion, the scene before them rapidly changes.
Once their vision clears, they find themselves in a strange region.
Surrounding them are giant trees that obscure the sky, with thick vines like giant pythons coiling between the trunks, hosting various exotic flowers.
The distant, unknown creatures’ long cries are heard, and the thunderous sound of waterfalls crashing down seems to echo from farther away.
Opening the map reveals they’re at the edge of the Reversing Tide Battlefield.
The ground beneath is soft, covered in black soil, with a faint scent of vegetation permeating the air.
Instantly entering, they feel the air saturated with dense life energy particles.
Though very close to the Senluo Forest Region, the quality of energy in the air is noticeably better.
It isn’t the desolate or ruinous scene imagined for a battlefield but a vibrant, primal vitality instead.
Energy absorption in such an environment sees significantly enhanced efficiency.
"So, this is the west of the Senluo Forest Realm? The environment is way better than I imagined!" Tiaotiao looks around curiously, taking in a deep breath full of spiritual particles.
"Don’t inhale too much, or you’ll have a hard time logging off from the Senluo Forest Region," Wind Child chuckles, hooking an arm around Tiaotiao’s neck.
"Don’t strangle me, Brother Feng."
"No messing around, we still have to pass another teleport relay." Captain Wulong says, striding forward.
The team decisively follows suit.
Ahead, not far from them in a forest clearing, stands a newly built teleportation array, clearly running stably.
At the array’s core is an unusual seed constantly rotating, emitting space fluctuations, with complex space spirit patterns etched on the ground around it, blending seamlessly with the forest environment.
Player teams continuously enter the teleportation array, vanishing from sight.
"Let’s go, there’s plenty of sacrificial power waiting for us."
Captain Wulong takes the lead, guiding the team toward the naturally styled teleportation array.
Just setting foot in the teleportation array’s range, Wulong’s consciousness slightly resonates, as though swept by an invisible ripple.
Subsequently, his perception detects five pure white light points, suspended in a void of darkness.
He immediately realizes these are the five instance options interfacing with Civilization Space.
Yet, there are no instance names marked above, nor any detailed introduction information, not even the village teleportation array’s unique dynamic map scene display.
This means he can only make a blind choice.
Even during the teleportation process, unlike in the village, the captain can’t directly make a choice for the whole team.
