Chapter 4553: Day Before Opening

Chapter 4553: Day Before Opening

"It’s done," she said as she stepped into the room, returning from the job I had given her.

I had asked her to post the posters around the area.

"Come, we have a last bit of things to do before I open tomorrow," I said to her and handed her the task. It had been five days since I had brought things and started crafting medicines.

The empty shelves are now filled with the medicine’s glass bottles and wooden boxes.

With this last big thing done, I would be fully ready to open tomorrow, and it is making me nervous.

Someone who is unmatched among Primes is feeling nervous about Primary-I and regular people. If someone were to read my thoughts, they would die laughing.

Still, it is emotion, I am feeling.

Aside from not using my power, I am giving this everything I have. From crafting the medicine to advertising for my clinic, I want it to succeed.

I have never done something like this; I did not need to.

When I first started, I practiced in the academy. Within a week, I had become famous enough that people trusted me, and after that, my reputation and skills only rose.

Now, I have turned myself into a common healer, as common as I could be.

It is making me nervous, but also excited about the prospect of practicing my profession again. I wanted to do that desperately for years.

It was painful to see people suffer and not do anything. Even when I did anything, it was limited to providing position and advice.

I shook my head before focusing on the thing in front of me. It is the most complex thing I have crafted in the past week.

There are seven interconnected flasks. One in the centre, while six around it. Six of them contain boiling liquids of different colours and densities.

Faint vapours rising from them, mixing together in the seventh flask.

The thing, the reaction is unstable and volatile. The only reason it had not exploded into pieces was that my energy was keeping the balance.

Given the instability and volatility of energy markets. Grade I alchemists couldn’t do this, and most Grade II alchemists couldn’t either. Even for Grade III, it is not that easy.

It isn’t just the control, but also energy.

Though it’s not a big problem for me, I am using Primary-I energy and doing it comfortably. It is due to control, which is at the level of Silver Prime.

For the Primary, this kind of control is miraculous.

I pushed those thoughts away and focused. Soon, an hour passed, and it was nearly finished. The pale red crystals filled the beaker; they were pure crystals with embellishments.

"I am surprised, you get a license so quickly. Usually, it takes weeks to get it with all the inspections," she said. "The people at the guild were reasonable," I replied with a smile.

The healers’ guild is made up of healers practicing in the city. So, one could imagine how reasonable they had been.

I only needed to say a few words to the good people of the guild, and they gave me the licence immediately. They couldn’t wait for me get out of the guild.

She looked at me, sensing there was something more, but I only smiled.

Soon, it was finished, and I turned off the fires and pulled back the energy before extracting the crystals from the flash. I put them in a ceramic box and took out the biggest crystal.

"Sit down and eat this," I said to her.

She looked surprised. It is the first time I have said something like this to her. "It will help you with your veins," I added, and her eyes widened.

She nodded and sat down. Given her inquisitive nature, I thought she would ask the questions, but she seemed to trust me quite a lot.

I wouldn’t have, when I was at her age. Especially a person I have known for barely a week.

I gave her a crystal, and she ate it before closing her eyes. A few seconds later, a change in her face, but she kept her eyes closed.

Soon, the slightly foul-smelling sweat began to appear on her body, while she gritted her teeth, without making a sound. Which kind of surprised me.

It is painful.

Given my pain tolerance at her age, I would have screamed. I had screamed when my parents had given me a goror’s bath, a medicinal bath, a week before the bonding ceremony.

Ashlyn had gone through the same, but she didn’t even. She looked like she was enjoying it and was reluctant to get out of the little pool when it was over.

’Ashlyn is not the same anymore,’ I thought, and sighed as I remembered that day when I turned into a person.

Still, I miss her and Nero; I hope they have both been well.

I wished they had been with me. If they had been, I wouldn’t be so lonely, but it is also a good thing that they left. Especially Nero, it will give him a chance to mature.

Over forty minutes passed, and the girl had finally opened her eyes.

The first thing she did was scrunch up her rose to the four smells coming out of her. She is wet with sweat, and it is bad.

"What is it you gave me?" she asked. "Halaris Crystal; it is a kind of cleansing medicine. It removes some of the impurities from the veins as well as the body."

"When they finally mature, they will be a little better than they are right now.

Her eyes widened. She didn’t react for a while before bowing deeply. "Thank you, I don’t know how I could pay you back for it," she said.

There is a need to pay back. I gave it to you because I could," I replied with a smile.

"Now, go and scrub yourself well, with this, or you will be smelling bad for days," I said. Throwing her a small single-use soap. It will remove the smell and also help with her skin.
